Lost World: The Lost Continent
So you want to be an explorer and an adventurer, eh? Well, I am sorry to say, but in this world of ours. There is not much many places left to explore you see. Unless you wish to explore the frozen and freezing Arctic, Antarctica, or the wide ocean. Then I am you may be saddened at your prospects.
Yes, it is unfortunate, but in our current age, everything that has been found has been explored and thoroughly. Which is most of the world at his point. So you may as well think about things and see what else you can do with your life.
But, I proposition for you if you are still interested in the exploration and adventuring life. For I am looking for volunteers for an expedition I am funding. For you see, I am aware of a forgotten piece of land that to most would deem a fake or forgery. A place that modern civilization has yet to explore, and is a place untouched by time. A place if the legends and my information is true, actually exists and is within reach of the expedition.
But you say, how could this place still be unexplored? For this forgotten land is nearly impossible to access due to several reasons. But I have found a way to access and travel to his forgotten land. By airship no less.
Now, a truly lost world is waiting for you. I am very eager to fund an expedition to explore and report back their findings. For you see, I am unable to lead this expedition. Old age and crippled by a disease I contacted in my youth.
Still, I have my wealth, and if you are willing to join my expedition to this lost world. Then follow the instructions in this letter, and I wish you luck with this endeavor. Hopefully, you can do what I cannot and see this untouched land for yourself.

Overview
Hello and welcome to the rp. So in this rp, you will be playing as members of an expedition sent out to explore a land either known as the Lost World or the Lost Continent. You can be whatever role you wish as long as it makes sense for them to be in the expedition.
Also, since this is a Steampunk rp, but still set in the real world and characters can be from real world nations. It means while you will have access to real world weapons and equipment. The rp is set in 1890. You can still have steampunk weapons and gear. More so since the expedition will be travelling to the Lost World by airship. Just keep it reasonable, and it will be fine.
Now, things to know about the Lost World or the Lost Continent, dinosaurs are a thing, and will be encountered along with other extinct animals. Plus, a lost civilization, nonhuman sentients, and more waiting to be discovered.
