Blood Under Moonlight

It is the year 91 of the Age of Exodus. On the planet called Elysium, mankind has taken the next step into space. The discovery of Chrona on its moons in the last century has made possible the construction of extra-terrestrial habitats--and the colonization of the planet's satellites.

We have seen the promise of a new home for mankind. On those bright lights in the sky, people are born and raised.

And die.

Thirteen months ago, the lunar colonies Ephyra and Athens formed the Lunar Alliance and launched a war of conquest against the rest of the Elysium sphere. Their aim was control of both the supply of Chrona and the natural resources of the planet itself. The intensity of the fighting in those first months came as a shock to everyone, and almost a third of the system's population was lost.

Talks were held, and treaties were signed between the two sides to limit the destructiveness of future battles. Desperate for a new weapon that could turn the tide of the war without reducing the entire Elysium sphere to inhabitability, both the Lunar Alliance and the Elysium Board looked to walkers--humanoid robots made possible using the Chroma Effect, and employed in the harshest conditions for the mining of that valuable resource.

Outfitted for war, these machines have various official designations. The soldiers who ride them into battle call them Myrmidons.

You are an Elysium Defense Force soldier assigned to Myrmidon Task Force Xyston-02. Your mission is to strike deep behind enemy lines, halt the steady advance of the Lunar Alliance, and give the EDF the time it needs to turn the tide of the war.

Between sorties, you will have for support the armed carrier Phillip and its crew, as well as the cooperation of any EDF forces you might encounter.

In the heat of battle, you will have only each other.

Question for this first round is, how are you approaching the objective?

Albert would propose no more than a single combat model accompany him as armed escort, the rest gang up on the enemy myrmodon, ultimately for the purpose of "just keep any real obstacles off my back while I wreck their shit!"

If he's alone, Marcus' strategy would be stealth sniping

First he would drop-off with the mech deactivated so that the sensors won't find bumble sting.

Then after landing on a good spot he will destroy the enemy myrmodon in one shot followed by cluster bombing it to dust and using his mobility to cause chaos for escape.

I would love to talk shop with yall, but I will try to do it in character as much as possible. I figure we can't particularly be too stealthy about this though: we are in giant mechs and the jungle isn't easy to move quietly in.

My proposal is this, us two tanky lads start an initial frontal assault. Rally can probably take out armored vehicles with her machine guns and her Comeradery could be good with coordinating strikes on the enemy Myrmidon. in the meantime, Bumblesting can take advantage of the distraction to maybe get some good hits in on the prime target, the enemy Myrmidon

I will try to get a post out tomorrow or Thursday

Edit: Didn't see Ricky before, maybe instead have Rally go for the other mech head on?

@Digmata, Marcus has permission to shoot, but I'm going to have you draw for it. Sniping's textbook ELE, so your cards are:

The Fool - Neutral - You become who you are needed to be in this moment
The Hermit - Neutral - Your actions isolate you

Which one do you want?

The Fool is my choice.

And he pulls the trigger

@RickyG85, that little shotput maneuver is going to be a POW draw. Your cards are:

The Emperor - Neutral - You break something
Temperance - Neutral - You are met with an equal and opposite reaction
Judgment - Negative - Your past mistakes catch up to you

I feel like one of these is probably most appropriate at the moment, but the choice is yours.

Uh, breaking something is my goal, so I guess I'll take The Emperor
