Hello! I have been wanting a pirate roleplay recently because I just binge watched Pirates of the Caribbean and am OBSESSED! So I wanted to create my own little pirate world, and I was wondering if anyone was interested! It would also have like-sirens and things like that, but also true things that pirates did-which is pretty radical, so if you are interested, please lmk!

Well, while I'm here, I may as well offload a few ships and crewmembers.

Raleigh 'One Leg' Srarka (Heavywieght Naga, lengthwise, she's as big as the ship)

Harding 'Banished' Beckwith (Swashbuckling Tiefling Trickster-Bard)

And some gunslinger named "Jack", not that Jack, or the other Jack, we named the Drider "Jack". And this, is his gun.

And now, for a collection of boat-spam:

They'll typically do 9 to 13 kts, which is reasonably fast for their time.

Next up: Armaments between the three of them
I'm figuring a pair of swivels-mounts on the topsail for Jack to play with, and another six on the gunwales, plus eight cannon-ports (four on each side).

As for actual armaments, about a dozen muskets, two volley-guns [rifled] (Chambers millitrouse is also an option, because 'merricuh) four rifles, two dozen pistols, twelve swivel-guns, and six twelve pounder carronades stowed all aft by the captain's quarters, with only two ready to fire.

I'll probably infodump multiple paragraphs about sailing, and the local weather patterns, though. And lore-wise Jack doesn't speak english and uses the rest of the crew to translate.

Well I had this one plot idea that has been stuck in my head- SO

Lady of the Lake x Pirate

Very specific, but I’m writing a book on it an have been wanting to also roleplay it. Here is the rough version of a plot-

The lady of the lake, known to be a myth, a warning to all who dare break their honor. She is known as a cautionary tale to sailors, but known one has seen or heard of her for years, so the dishonor and breaking of codes amongst sailors and pirates has run rampant. Unbeknownst to them, the Lady has been kidnapped by the Dreaded Pirate Roberts, who has held her hostage, using her power to destroy all in his path. With the help of Carl, an older sailor on the ship, she escapes with barely her life, but the weapon in her care, believed by most to be a sword, remains with Roberts. She must get the blade back, for it has the power to control tides. See this sword is not a sword at all, but really the trident of Poseidon and in the wrong hands, will bring death to all.

So basically, the characters would go and get the trident. :D

But there is also the more well known tropes like sirenxpirate, royaltyxpirate, pirate rivals, I can make a plot for any of those as well
