Jellymon
General information
Species: Jellymon Nickname: Jelly-sensei Type: Data Age: Around 12 or 13 years old in human terms. Old enough to no longer consider themselves a child, and therefore more mature than those who do, but not quite an adolescent yet either.
Outstanding details: Jellymon wears a black fabric belt around their middle, which they somehow manage to keep with them even when their body is retracted. It is reminiscent of the kind of belts worn by martial artists, but do Digimon even have things like dojo’s? Where did she pick up the habit? Body language: Jellymon’s body languages conveys a sense of confidence and, despite the flexibility and squishiness of their body, of solidity. They often stand rigidly upright, with their arms crossed and their feet planted in a wide stance; even with their body retracted, their longest tentacles are often crossed in front of their face. When they move it is with a feeling of purpose and of surety in their actions.
Partner: Itori Kimura (Luluna)
Why were they partnered: TBC
Biography
Origin: Jellymon was born in the Net Ocean and though they no longer remember those early days of their life too clearly, the feeling of weightlessness that came with being submerged in water sticks with them.
Role in Digital World: Jellymon considers themselves to be a protector, or a guardian. Of what tends to vary; sometimes a village she came across one day, sometimes a traveller she decides to stick with for a while, sometimes the Digital World as a whole. She’ll see someone or something that she considers to be unprotected or at risk, act as their guardian for a time whether they want it or not, then goes on her way.
General skills: While she is quite well travelled, there aren’t many things that Jellymon would consider herself to be especially good at when it comes to general skills. She can forage and cook well enough to feed herself but is no gourmet chef. She can navigate well enough not to get completely lost but often doesn’t have a set destination in mind to begin with. She can negotiate well enough to earn herself a place to sleep and some food or money for her services, but how much of that is her and how much is other Digimon’s generosity?
The one thing she knows she is good at is teaching. What she does know, she can pass on to others and they tend to learn it pretty well. This includes teaching others how to fight and has done so more than once as part of her self-appointed duties as a guardian, teaching her charges how to protect themselves before moving on.
Special skills: Jellymon knows how to fight. Well, that’s not too special, every Digimon knows how to fights; but Jellymon knows how to fight in a way that most Digimon don’t. Humans would potentially recognise what she does as martial arts, adapted to work with a body that doesn’t appear to have bones, but most Digimon that don’t have those kinds of abilities naturally don’t think to use their bodies in more than the most simplistic, instinctive ways.
Personal history: Jellymon does not quite remember why she first left the Digital Ocean; perhaps it was due to a sense of adventure, perhaps she was following something or was called by something, or maybe it was even an accident. All of her memories of that time are kind of one big blur, a vague impression of swimming through a seemingly endless void, so maybe it was just boredom that drove her onto land.
After that things become clearer. She wandered around by herself for a while, not knowing where to go or how to find her way and not finding any friendly faces to show her. In her naivety she ventured close to a corrupted zone; not so close as to get caught up in its glitches or influence, but close enough that someone or something from within tried to attack her. If it wasn’t for the timely intervention of her sensei, she would have been deleted then and there.
Her saviour was GrapLeomon; a powerful and virtuous Digimon who had taken it upon himself to patrol the borders of the corrupted zone so as to ward away unknowing Digimon such as herself and to prevent any of the mutated Digimon within from exiting. Jellymon was enthralled with them; their strength, the way they fought and their sense of justice. She asked to become their student, to be taught how to fight like they do so that she could fight evil Digimon the way he did.
GrapLeomon was reluctant at first, both to taking on a student and to encouraging such a young Digimon to take on such a dangerous task, but upon learning that she had nowhere else to go and noone to return to he took her in. He taught her how to fight, poorly at first since Jellymon did not have the strength or even the skeletal structure to fight the same way GrapLeomon did, but in time they both learned how to make it work. At the same time, he taught her how to use her strength; when to use it and when not to and how it was often more important to protect than it was to destroy. To preserve good, rather than remove evil. Lofty ideals for one for young, but being as enamoured with her sensei as she was Jellymon took all teachings to heart.
It was the best part of Jellymon’s life, but unfortunately it did not last long as far too soon after they met the pair were attacked by a group of corrupted Digimon who had slipped past GrapLeomon’s regular patrols. They were too numerous for the powerful Digimon to be able to defeat himself, at least while also protecting his student, so he told Jellymon to flee while he stayed to hold them back.
Jellymon fled, running as far as she could before becoming exhausted and collapsing. When she awoke, she was in an area she had never been to before and didn’t know when way to go to get back to where she was. With no way to get back other than aimless wandering, that’s exactly what she did; wandered the Digital World until she came across her first fellow traveller and deciding to travel with them as their guard.
She has no idea if GrapLeomon is still alive, though she is confident he could have won against his opponents, and has no idea when she will ever see him again. In the meantime she wants to make him proud by being a protector to those who need it the way he was to her.

Motivation: Jellymon wants to be a protector. Usually when she says that she means it in the sense of protecting those directly in front of her, whether that be a single Digimon or a whole village. But there is no denying that the Digital World itself is in trouble right now and in the quiet moments where she is alone, Jellymon thinks to herself that she wants to help protect it too; either to restore it to what it once was, uncorrupted and whole, or just to prevent it from becoming any worse.
It’s probably that desire that led to her being chosen.
General notes: Insists on being called “sensei” at all times by her students.

- Tactical Cartography and Terrain Reading: The ability to quickly interpret and sketch maps, assess terrain for defensive positions, ambushes, or supply routes.
- Interrogation: Skills in gathering reliable intelligence from reluctant or hostile sources.
Special skills: Firearms training, logistics, strategic planning
Personal history:
Bill began his career as a Junior Field Officer, gaining valuable frontline experience. However, his success in command got him ranked up a bit too fast for his liking, and relatively soon, he found himself more of a logistician than commander, moving into the engineering branch. While this meant sacrificing the glory of the field for the "red tape wrapped desk," he found he had far more influence and control over the outcome of entire operations from his position. His most defining action was to divert essential resources from a smaller, heavily-damaged settlement to advancing units. This ensured a swift, decisive victory, which in the long term saved more villages form ever being attacked, but solidified his reputation as a rather ruthless, calculating commander, who valued numbers over lives. Now facing death by cancer, he views this summoning as his final deployment.Positive character traits:Personality
- Resilient: Maintains professional composure regardless of chaos, pain, or failure. He is the anchor that never panics.
- Thorough: Deeply detail-oriented and analytical, excellent at spotting patterns, weaknesses in defense, and anticipating enemy tactics.
- Mentor (Goal-Oriented): Genuinely committed to transferring his knowledge and experience to those who wish to learn it, seeing it as his final legacy. This fuels his patient-but-firm tactical correction.
Negative character traits:
- Ruthless Pragmatism: Bill will bypass any authority or break any rule, if he calculates it is the most efficient path to victory. He sees bureaucracy only as a resource to be manipulated or a barrier to be ignored.
- Clinical Objectivity: He defaults to viewing all partners, Digimon, and allies as assets or variables to be deployed and optimized. He struggles with empathy, treating collaboration as a professional transaction.
- Distrust of Sentimentality: He actively dislikes spontaneous, emotionally-driven decisions. He trusts calculated risks, not the sudden, impulsive gambits that those with fiery nature often inspire.
Likes and hobbies:
- The Feeling of Physicality: He relishes the restored strength and lack of pain in his 25-year-old body.
- Order and Tidiness: Finds deep satisfaction in systems that are orderly, predictable, and clean.
- Strong Green Tea: A constant preference, especially since he's a Brit.
Dislikes and fears:
- Insubordination and Inefficiency: Zero tolerance for anything that wastes time, energy, or supplies.
- Sentimentality: Views emotional appeals or personal attachments in the field as high-risk strategic liabilities.
- Death: His greatest fear is failing the mission and being sent back to his original body to die a slow, meaningless, powerless death in a hospital bed, wasting his final chance to do some good.
Digidestined's motivation: Bill is a man at the end of his life. He has been bedridden for the last 6 months due to his lung cancer and does not have much time left in the real world, but in the digital world, he can still do something that matters. This is his last mission.
General notes:
Bill's greatest strength is his knowledge, but his biggest vulnerability is his lack of time. He treats the watch-like Digivice as a measure of his borrowed time, constantly urging him toward the most efficient path, regardless of the emotional or ethical cost. He will actively ignore his physical need for rest to keep pressing the objective. The partnership with Coltmon is the one area of his life where he is forced to confront the passion and chaos he tried to eliminate from his career.Tamer equipment
