That sounds like an interesting character. You can give him that adaptability, but you could do that his power begins to wear off as he doesn't stay in a fight, basically, he can adapt to being burned alive to the point of invulnerability. but after like, idk, 12 hours, he can be damaged again.

Name: Wesken kernel (new thoth)
Appearance:civilian:he likes to dress fancy but other then that he looks normal. He has black hair and grey eyes.
Villian:he wears an all grey suit and tie with a bird skull mask. One of the eye sockets in the mask has a glowing red eye like orb in it. He wields a cane with another bird skull topping it.
Quotes/Catchphrases:
"Knowledge is power" "the death of knowledge means the death of a person."
Age:43? (It is not known what age he is but it is guessed 43 because of what he looks like. He is actaully 24.)
Backstory:He was an idiot at birth. Or at least that's what people thought he was actaully incredibly smart but simply thought of the world differently then everyone else did. He had always agreed more with villians who used their intellect to fight not heroes who he saw as only being born skilled or using other peoples intellect to give themselves great weapons but never crediting them. He also loved mythology but hated gods for being born so powerful yet using their powers to only benefit themself. As he grew older he became even smarter but tried to hide it as he new if he didn't the government would have him make weapons for their hero's. Later in life he learned of thoth an Egyptian god who suprisingly helped humans. After that he realized that he himself was not using his gift to help people. After going on a trip to Egypt to help people in need there he found what he believes is the tomb of the original thoth. He comes home from with two relics his cane and mask these grant him the ability to manifest his intelligence physically. He then pledges to destroy the government that funds these "false heroes" and bring about an age of greatness under his rule.
Personality:he is cold on the outside but cares about people and wishes to protect them. Due to his incredible intellect he has taken a more then slightly nihilistic view on the world.
Skills:he is scarily intelligent and skilled at combat with his cane. He is incredibly good at manipulating people.
Ability: THE MASK:The mask while wearing it grants him the ability to resist mind control and raises his intelligence even further.
THE CANE:The cane grants him the ability to manifest his intelligence into reality in the form of translucent liquidy shards with hieroglyphics passing through them. The more intelligent the user of the cane is the more powerful the cane becomes. He can use the cane to make shields of the substance or blast oppenents with it to deal psychic damage. He has just realized that he could solidify the substance allowing him to make spikes or augment weapons temporarily. He learned this while trying to grab a teacup he dropped.
Misc:due to his world beliefs he actaully holds a lot of respect for steel who he sees as a self made hero. Wesken is incredibly frail and really can't do much without his cane. Wesken has a severe tea addiction. His favorite flavor of tea is raspberry. Wesken prefers not to have head on confrontations and instead tries to work with people so they can do that for him. He prefers to play mind games with his enemies and trick them. One of his biggest role model is the riddler. Right now he is trying to get together a villian group.
