Summer is also going to already be in town as she hasn’t quite moved to the city just yet… Unless the funeral is taking place at a location that needs to be driven to? Then she could pop into the shop for a flat or something?

My character never really left. His specific location depends our precise start
He's probably at home on the edge of town, or working. How long after Austin's death will it be, and how long will it be until the funeral?

How about: they got partnered for (e.g.) home economy and made passing friends because he found her funny and Chris was nice enough and seemed useful to know. After she left for the city they didn't stay in touch. Maybe on the way to Elysian Heights, Chris catches her speeding and recognises her and they talk.
But that depends if she's heading straight to the funeral or arriving before it.

Thanks. I don't normally do things this grounded so I'm curious to see where I go. It's good reading so far at least.
Do you have plans for your character? Maybe our people could run into eachother and have a bit of dialogue before the funeral? Send a message if you'd like to discuss dialogue. :D
