Ren sighed softly as she shook her head watching everyone. She went to a chair and sat down. Ren would much rather be out in her kingdom helping everyone but she is stuck here even if it is for her kingdoms sake.

"Well Miss Dansu, if it's us that decide to wed I might keep little rose for affectionate purposes," I say with a soft laugh. And then a bit more seriously I say, "It's a pleasure Dansu," as I try to move forward to caress Dansu's cheek again.

The tip of something pressed into Prince Mizu's back. "That was so funny I forgot to laugh," came Keith's voice from behind him. His tone was hard, leaving no room for mirth. "For a minute I almost believed you were here as an equal. Let me tell you what the truth is, though. You are here to grovel for our forgiveness before we wipe your treacherous, corrupt nation from the face of the world."

Utsu:I think a bit and respond in a hushed tone, "You're quite different to the other princes. You do not lust for beauty but for power, the other princes take the beautiful and leave me, while you patiently wait. That said, your offer is intriguing. As I'm sure you know the sooner a possible attack the better, giving less time for Mizu and Kasai to firmly establish friendly relations. Their bickering and a war will mean our two kingdoms would have a colossal advantage," and then as an afterthought I add, "By flare in our forces you mean our strategy? I myself did the strategising in the Eastern Border Defense near the end of the war, despite little numbers we lured thousands into death," with a tinge of pride in my voice.A few seconds after saying this war discussion input, I say, "If you can tolerate me as your wife I shall consider accepting," as I lean on the wall in quite an unladylike fashion.

Samuel smiled darkly as he whispered back to her "I would happily take you up on that offer princess Utsu"

Dansu's eyebrow raised slightly. She saw Keith coming up and a firey glare appeared in her green eyes. After Keith said that, Dansu said "Keith, if you do not step down-"

A servant from the peace meeting came in with an obvious announcement. Dansu's eyes lit up, hoping for good news. "The kings have spoken", said the maid. " The princesses and the princes must marry the opposite that has been chosen for them. The..." the maid took out the scroll from another maid. "The prince of Chikyū will marry the princess of Kūki. The prince of Kūki will marry the princess of Mizu. The prince of Mizu will marry the... hehe... princess of Kasai. The prince of Kasai will marry the princess of Chikyū. That'll be all." The male servants looked at the princes and smirked slightly, "Good luck!"

Taking all details of the current situation in, I say to the assumed prince of Kasai, "It appears our parents wish the marriage. If you kill me the other three kingdoms will merge forces and Kasai would be slaughtered if you interrupt the peace treaty," with a smirk, then I lean forward to whisper into Dansu's ear, "Lovely brother you've got there, but thanks for defending me Dansu,"

Utsu:

I mutter a curse at the news and look at the prince next to me, and say, "Well it looks like I will be the one unable to tolerate my spouse," as I contemplate suicide, but decide to stick to my word and marry this fool for my kingdom's sake. But no way he's getting an heir out of me.

Dansu, looked at him as he whispered in her ear. She whispered back "I defend everyone. Besides, I can handle myself. I hope you were not looking to have an heir." A smirk fell upon her lips and she looked at Keith. She gave him an asurring look and said to him "I am alright. I can take care of myself. Besides, you also have to get to know your soon-to-be spoues. It's for the sake of our kingdom. She seems like a wonderful person, so you shouldn't have any difficulty taling to her." She smiled at him. She saw somewhat of herself in her soon-to-be sister-in-law. She still had to figure out how she was going to handle the situation with Tre, though.

"Good quality, even defending assholes like me," I mutter, oblivious to the fact I'm still a few centimeters from Dansu's ear. Then stepping back and talking at a normal tone, I say, "I can see that you can handle yourself, and I won't look for an heir until you want to," being very deliberate in using 'until' and not 'unless'. I give a glance at the prince of Kasai, my future brother-in-law, and decide to talk to him. I walk off before Dansu has a chance to respond and say to the prince of Kasai, "For one, I swear by my current status as prince that I will lay my own life down before I let your sister fall to harm once we wed, and for two, I agree there is corruption in Mizu. Which is the first thing I will fix when I am king," with a stern look, trying to keep eye contact with him.

Utsu:

I walk over to the Kasai prince and see the Mizu prince talking to him, so I wait patiently, a bit nervous about talking to him. I'm sure he is disappointed to be paired with me, the princess he openly denied after my attempt to smile. Not my fault I seriously care about my kingdom.

Dansu, becoming a bit flustered from the comment, goes to her future sister-in-law with a grin. "Hello, you must be my future sister-in-law. I am Dansu Kasai." She held out her hand to shake. "Don't worry. I will not expect you to be overly joyed at the prospect of marrying my silly brother."

Keith had pulled his finger away from Tre's back when the maid came out to make the announcement. He didn't move, letting the others speak around him as he tried to think through what he'd just been told. Every time his thoughts reached Dansu marrying a Mizu, though, everything fell apart. He respected Dansu enough to back off on that one, but he wasn't going to be a pawn.

"If Dansu is Queen, you can be sure of that. If," he answered Tre. Keith turned away from Mizu and faced his proclaimed wife.

"Don't take this the wrong way--it's not about you. But excuse me while I go ask my father what the Flame he is thinking. You're free to come with me if you like." Keith made straight for the large doors that led to where the monarchs sat. It made sense to form an alliance with Chikyu, but that should be Dansu's place. He should have-!

He should have who? Mizu? He could hardly stand the name. Kuki? She wasn't nearly strong enough to stand beside him. So it was Chikyu. No, that wasn't quite right. The last option was nobody. That was the one he wanted. Keith stopped walking, glaring at the doors ahead of him. What he wanted was to have Mizu punished and then life to go back to how it was. That would be the just thing, would it not? Mizu had begun all this, so Mizu should atone and end it there. But instead they would punish Keith and Dansu for their sins.

Keith hadn't been taking this seriously. He could see that. This whole thing had been a joke when he walked in. But with that order laid out by all of their parents, the farce had become a reality.

"Burn it. Burn it all to ash!" Keith turned around to face the Chikyu princess again. "You can't tell me you're okay with this!"

I shake the Kasai princess' hand and open my mouth when the Kasai prince turns to me and interrupts me. Waiting for him to finish I walk over to him and hiss, "No, I am not okay with marrying an egotistical fool," and then return to an emotionless tone, continuing, "However, this is to establish peace. Without peace there is war. Are you so egotistical you would gladly kill your own people by the thousand just so you can keep your pride? Do you care not for anyone? People think I lack emotion, but I care for my kingdom. You seem to act human but are not," with a glare, almost sickened by his actions.

Treíko:

I listen to the Earth princess talking to Dansu's brother, and say to Prince Kasai, "Your parents won't change your mind, you may just as well try and stop your lover from being repulsed by you, and I've already given you my word to keep Dansu safe, she can handle herself but I'll add all I can," putting in the detail for the others hearing me.

Samuel sighed a little annoyed at the lose of the warrior princess, but he walked over to the water Princess and greeted her calmly "Greeting princess of the water, I am Samuel Kuki of the air kingdom"

Ren stood up and bowed slightly, "Pleased to meet you Samuel. I am Ren Mizu of the water kingdom." She smiled sweetly at him. "I guess we need to get to know eachother more since we are going to be seeing a lot more of each other in the future." She said speaking simply with an elegant way to her words.

Samuel nodded to her, keeping his cruel streak hidden from her as he said "I look forward to it, because you correct. We will be seeing a lot of each other"

"Are you so weak that you would do as you're ordered without a second thought? All of you, are you sheep!? This will never establish peace! If Mizu tries to say one more word to me I'm going to knock his jaw loose! Do you think this is alleviating tensions!?"

Keith glared back at every stare that was on him. Nobody seemed to care, though; the kings had spoken, so they would all just shut up and die. If their parents said it would bring peace then this group would accept the guillotine. Keith wasn't going to let that happen. Not to him, not to Dansu, not to Chikyu, and not to Kuki.

"Round Table! Everyone gather around the table. I'm not getting anywhere shouting at you, so we're going to do exactly the same thing they are. Let's talk about your 'peace'."

Dansu immediately ran and grabbed Keith's arm. She glared at him in a mix of sternness and disappointment. "You will not defy the king's wishes! This is for the kingdom! You knew your job coming into this! You knew today was the day of determining what would happen to us! I may dislike it, everyone may dislike it; but we are doing this for our people. Stop being a spoiled brat and do as you are told!" Her eyes glowed with a firey anger, showing not to go against her. She was not in the mood to deal with her hot headed brother. "Do you think your wife wants to marry you?! Do you think I want to marry someone I have yet to know?! We know our positions! Act as a prince and you will be treated as one!" She let go of his arm and said something so sickening to her that she instantly regretted the words slipping her lips. "We've only ever had eachother. Do not force me to choose between what I want to do and what I need to do, because I will always choose what I need to do." She looked at him with a serious demeanor before walking toward one of the maids. She looked at the maid, her anger simmering extremely slowly. "When is the engagement ball?" The maid looked at her and nodded. " The engagement ball is tomorrow at nightfall." Dansu nodded and looked back at Keith, saying through her eyes 'do not mess this up'.

Treíko:

Chuckling softly, I brush my hand against Dansu's but stay silent, seeing Keith is potentially a threat to the peace treaty. Illogical beings are the most dangerous and the most difficult to persuade, he acts rashly and doesn't give time for persuasion. Hearing about the engagement ball, I raise an eyebrow and give a small smile, looking at Keith carefully. Prince Kuki could also be dangerous, but Kasai has motivation to hate me, both for protection of his sister and the fact I am a Mizu.

Keith pulled a circular table to the center of the room regardless, then pulled a chair up to it and sat down in. "I'm being serious. What will this mass-wedding solve? Either you can prove to me this is logical, or somebody is taking a joke too far. Pull up a chair if you're ready to think like a human." He stood again, grabbing another chair and placing it next to his. Then he let his gaze sweep over each person in the room, settling on Utsu last. "Chikyu, you're beside me. Stop me if I start shouting." If anyone here could think straight, it was going to be her.

Dansu, looking at her brother was a small scowl, knew she would get no where with him. Instead, she sighed and pulled up a chair across from him. She looked up at Tre with a raise of her eyebrow, telling him to play along. She then looked back at Keith and said "if it must." She couldn't help feel that this was a bit of a spoiled fit on the part of her brother, but if it appeases him then she'd do whatever it took.

Tre:

Accepting Dansu's subtle suggestion but not wanting to hurt my pride, I pull up a chair and say, "Humanity includes compassion," targeting Prince Kasai and sitting down with a smirk, then I give a questioning look to Dansu trying to look for a sign of approval in her eyes.

Utsu:

"Very well," I respond to Prince Kasai, still standing, and then as an afterthought, I murmur, "Good to see you're not as joking as it first seemed," quietly. After standing still a bit more, I sit down at a chair, studying Prince Kasai's face.
