Jacob opened his eyes to find Elliot's face over his, he smiled a little "my head doesn't hurt as much as it did when I first woke up the pain has faded a little bit. Doesn't hurt as much though, which I'm happy about really." He got onto his elbows and kissed her, he really couldn't help it not with her on top of him.
Elliot grinned as he sat up on his elbows and kissed her. She returned it before she moved to look at his bandage, "Well, there doesn't seem to be any blood..." She peeked under it, "And the stitches seemed fine when I cleaned it earlier... So it should heal up just fine."
She wrapped her arms around him and laughed slightly, "Is this all you plan to do today? Lie in bed, all by your lonesome?"

Jacob smiled, "I got nothing better to do unless you have an idea?" He asked, he didn't mind if she had an idea on what they would do today. He also didn't mind laying in bed all day that's what he did when no attacks came or he had to go out and patrol the streets.
Elliot cocked an eyebrow, "Well, I just spent the last three hours patching up your soldiers. I'm done working for the day."
She rolled off of him and turned her back to him as she curled up, "Go make yourself useful somewhere," She teased. She looked over his shoulder at him, "If you keep lying around like this, you're gonna get chubby," She poked she stomach, which was far from even squishy and grinned.

Jacob laughed, "nah I'm not going to get chubby not with the way I do things and a lot of other stuff around here, I think most of the soldiers around here are lazy because I'm the one who has to carry the gun or ammo crates to storage which I don't mind that much either way."

Jacob looked at her curiously, "what do you mean exactly?" He didn't know what she was saying, she had to be more specific if she was going to ask him that question. He rolled onto his side facing her, "I don't know what your exactly saying."
Elliot didn't move her eyes away from the ceiling, scared to meet his eyes. She sighed, "That pain.... The other day... It wasn't just a normal headache..." She closed her eyes, "I saw... them trying to make androids.... and bodies rejecting the robotic parts.... The people died slowly....." She fingered her necklace and bit her lip again, "Are you going to die? Because... I don't know if... If I want you to," She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small SD chip, "Give me back my memories...." She wiped away tears that she realized were starting to fall, "I swiped it when I came and got you...."

Jacob looked at her, he swallowed but he didn't say anything. As he sat up and did the upload for her memories. He let out a sigh, once it was done. By then he was on his feet, his hands against the wall with his head down. "I really and honestly didn't want to tell you Ellie."
Elliot sat up on the bed's edge and sat with her back to him. She sobbed, she didn't know if it was because of the realization of what she had done to people, those she had killed or the fact that she still didn't know how to stop Jacob from dying. She buried her face in her hands and shook her head, "I... I deserve to know Jacob.... I deserve to know that I can't imagine a future with you..... That you are going to leave me here.... alone.... I lost you once already... but I forgot... I don't know if I can deal with losing you again and knowing for the rest of my life that you are gone...."

Jacob looked at her, he quickly got back on the bed in front of her, putting his arms around her. "Shhh Ellie shhhh for now you have me back for a few years at least. I have you back fully, please Ellie stop crying you know it tears me apart to see you cry please."
Elliot shook her head as he tried to calm her down, asking her not to cry. She couldn't help it, he was dying that wasn't going to be news she took lightly. She leaned into him, still crying, "I don't want a few years with you! I want a life with you.... Three years of knowing you wants enough the first time around... It isn't going to be enough this time."

Jacob looked at her, he only nodded at her words he didn't know what to say for once. All he knew was tears were welling up in his eyes. Quickly he wiped them away and turned his head away from her, he knew she wanted that badly, but life wasn't fair it was a game of chess everyone on this world was there pawn there were no kings queens it was a game just with pawns.

Jacob opened his mouth then closed it, he didn't know what to say he was lost at words. Finally he spoke "maybe I thought i could find a cure Ellie I don't know anymore I just.... Don't want you to leave please Ellie if you do I don't think the resistance can get through another week." His voice cracked with every word he let out, "I've already made to many mistakes..... Please Ellie I'm scared out of my mind everyday I wonder if I'm gonna get shot or something else when I can't sleep I stay up all night punching a wall or something hoping the pain can get rid of my thoughts..... Ellie I've been having nightmares all to often I can barely get any sleep or anything just don't leave." His hands curled up into fists, his voice was still cracking with every word, tears were flowing freely down his face now he just looked defeated.

She closed her eyes, "Maybe.... we can find a cure... The Robots... They didn't care who lived and who died... They never looked... so maybe.... maybe you don't have to leave me..."

Jacob wiped away the tears from his face, his eyes were red but he really didn't care at the moment. He quietly got behind Elliot and wrapped his arms around her as he laid back down. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself, it had been a long time since he had laid himself bare to anyone.
Elliot closed her eyes as Jacob climbed behind her and wrapped his arms around her. She rested her back against him chest and held his hand, trying to make every inch of them touch. She bit her lip and squeezed her eyes shut, "I don't want to miss this...."
She wasn't sure when but at some point in their silence, holding each other, Elliot managed to fall asleep in his arm. Comfortable and knowing it wasn't going to last.

Jacob smiled a little bit, when he noticed Elliot had fallen asleep on top of him. He didn't mind watching her sleep, soon he fell asleep himself. After a few hours he woke up again, Elliot still on top of him. He was glad that he had Elliot back and with all her memories back.
Elliot slept on. With the work she did in the medical ward, along with the news and period of crying, her body was absolutely drained. Sleep held her tightly as she lay there until, her eyes slowly opened. She could hear Jacob breathing in her ear. She say anything not wanting to break apart. Not wanting to move from the spot she lay. After a bit of silence, finally looked at Jacob, "What blood type are you?"
