I am so against rape as a tool for character progression (when it is without purpose). I'm more fond of a good old fashioned mental/physical torture where applicable!

This makes me a seem a little obsessed. I promise that is not the case! (But I am for realism and... Yeah, experimentation on people is never a nice thing)

@Jinxer Mental and physical torture in the name of science! Which generally leads to being strapped down while various objects attempt to peel back fleshy bits and stab at random areas. Can't forget to test how well the powers work when under stress or sleep deprivation. Though you never know when a pervy scientist with a taste for lollis might rear their ugly heads.

That's scarily true.

In the original House of Powers RP (part 1 of a three part roleplay spanning several years) my character had one then both of his eyes removed, Gonzo's character was basically cut open entirely and then restitched back together and Wolverbells' character similarly. Because science!

That said I would like to stress at this point that these are experiments... there would be a reason why they're doing any particular surgery so please make sure that any horrible events are actually applicable! (e.g. the eye thing with my character was to see how his power would adapt to compensate for his blindness).

EDIT: I should probably put my foot down on this one and thus: I believe the threat of any rape should be more than sufficient to affect a character's psyche, if absolutely necessary.

@Jinxer As long as its plot related I'm not generally picky about things. The way I can see her character suffer under any form of sexual abuse would be if they were testing to see if her power shielded everything. Even then it'd be done with cold detachment. On the other hand there's lots of room for field tests done on each character and possible tag team or even pitting power against power. I assume they'll view our characters more like weapons than humans anyway.

So... Gotta find a good way to torture and experiment on Mayuri that isn't rape... Eh, that should be easy. I'll just subject her to the first execution from Danganronpa 1 xD

@HecateProxy Exactly the way to think, I believe. And I think in the most extreme cases it won't need to be described, the insinuation would be more than enough.

Also, I don't expect anyone else to be following this rule as most anyone joining this RP (if they have read the premise) will be expecting grim and horrible things to happen, however I personally be using trigger warnings when knives or particularly nasty things are happening.

@Jinxer I'll do my share and try to dull down intense scenes. Though based on Amara's particular power she'd undergo more physical stimulated experiments that put her life in possible danger than being strapped down and prodded. Though the use of psychotropic drugs might come into play. I'll do my best not to be overly graphic.
