[OOC] St. Sappho Academy, Medieval Magic Academy (Invite Only)

"Greetings, welcome to St. Sappho Academy."

We are a school that was founded by Lady Fiore for one purpose: The study of magic and the betterment of all people. At least that's the official statement! Who knows. Maybe there's something shady going on here. It doesn't matter how you've come into magic. Be it from self study, inheritance, or any other means. The point is, you have magic and can channel it.

I, Headmistress Fiore welcome all of you with open arms to my Academy. Here, we strive for excellence in all fields of study. Be it the darker arts of necromancy, the powerful forces of nature, or the more subtle illusion magics. All fields of magical study are welcome in St. Sappho. Make no mistake, our school is one of the best, if not the best. It is indeed a privilege to attend.

Okay, enough of that rehash of everything we know, guys~

This is RP is invite Only, sorry folks! Even the previous participants in either of the RPs this one stems from. I'm not gonna go into a long winded explanation of everything here, as I think it's pretty self explanatory. Anything else, any lore will be put into the first part of the character tab for perusing and so if we move on and on the off chance we get any late comers, they can easily get caught up.

Same as last time. Awkward naming of people ftw (if someone else comes along, it could be fun)! Are the relevant parties just going to run a collab on that to get it out of the way early on?

Hmm...certainly. I imagine the teachers will be sent on that bit, though perhaps a student as well. So your Teacher and Katherine, will likely be the ones to do it. Because Livia must have a somewhat loyal party involved at all times~

To be fair I was actually wondering about this earlier. If the Phoenix y'know was supposed to be powerful and shit, why didn't Livia hop along? Was the paperwork that day really super critical or something XD?

...paperwork is the bane of her existence, obviously xD

But more realistically speaking, Livia isn't some all powerful person. While she is very powerful, she had no idea what was the strength of the so-called 'god', the Phoenix, and she doesn't believe herself to be powerful enough to confront a god yet. So, she basically sent someone there to gauge just how strong it was....basically she sent them there to possibly die.

Keep in mind Livia is more of a manipulator, and not entirely a saint. She doesn't like doing things she can send someone else to do if its something she deems not worth her time. If they died, then she knew it was as powerful as the legends say, and the next time after some preparation, she'd confront it herself.

If she lost an ally in the process of that, then well, that's just how it is.

As for Katherine, she'd send her because as her pupil and former student, Katherine is strong, but not as strong as Livia is (probably). So if Katherine can handle it, and if that's as powerful as a 'god' actually is, then she sure as hell is strong enough to fight one.

So basically Livia wouldn't go herself because she Needed to safely see how strong the Phoenix is.
