My Hero Academia RP - Interest and Concept Thread

I dunno the powerlevel of this anime, so I'm just going with standard western powerlevel. well, the powerlevels that let you do fun stuff.

@Archmage MC Oh, western comic powers are kind of at an extreme level when compared to the power-level here. The main character in the manga has a type of super strength quirk. It only gives him power so he usually breaks his bones since he can't control it that much yet. Everyone only has a single quirk. The only exceptions would be those who mimic quirks, but even they only have the abilities for a short amount of time. There's a character that can harden his body but the longer he maintains it and the more damage he takes affects his capability of using his powers. There's one who can shoot lasers from his navel but gets extreme stomach aches if he uses it too frequently. An electric user that loses probably 95% of his cognitive capability when he discharges too much electricity

The powers here are still kind of semi-realistic. If you think that wouldn't be fun for you, then maybe this RP won't be entertaining enough.

Eh, I could still just have ultimate regeneration as a quirk. I'll just need to figure out its penalties without the Unbound power I pair it with. I'm guessing weakness to chemical/drugs and a lot of other things.

Look will work though, said passive power would make her look very monster-like. Elegent, but monster like.

@Quatro I'm thinking of making a character with a plant quirk. I'm thinking instead of boring Chlorokinesis, my character will be a living plant (maybe with some chlororkinesis).

Depends. If the player base isn't that large even after we start the RP, I'll probably let people have two characters. If we have a lot of participants, I'll probably limit it to just one for now.

You're not forced to participate if you think its boring; that'll just be detrimental to your posting. I've had people drop RPs because they lack the motivation or inspiration to post. I kinda don't want that. I mean, isn't that understandable?

Age: 14

Personality: Silal is a rather "cool" fellow. Granted, "cool" is a subjective term. He considers himself cool, which is enough for him. In fact, he rarely leaves his cool-guy persona. Because of this, he rarely gets angry, sad, or excited. He tends to hide his emotions behind an adult apathy.

However, because of his perceived ideals in coolness, he constantly says things in other languages. It makes him seem worldly. Most of the time, he says something that he heard once or twice on the TV. His hobbies include cooking (which he rarely does in front of other people) and reading complex literature (which he rarely understands).

He is rather humble about his fighting ability, a holdover from his mother beating him up whenever he bragged about being good at martial arts.

Bio: Silal was born to two notable heroes. His father was Master Blade, a hero that stopped criminals using, well, a spiritual blade that followed him everywhere. His mother was Wing Sun, who stopped criminals using, well, spiritual martial arts. When Silal was born, anyone who followed C-list heroes would expect great things from him.

They were, for the most part, right. Silal inherited both powers in some weird hybrid mixture. Rather than having a spiritual sword, he himself was the spiritual sword. His parents, using their mastery of fighting, taught him from a very young age. He grew and adapted to their two fighting styles, calling his own fighting style "The Martial Art That Will Transcend The Heavens", as he thought that it was a cool name. His mother took offense to this and beat him up in a special self-defence lesson.

Years passed. His natural personality of wanting to be cool took hold of all other personality traits. He only did things if they were "cool", like some regular boy who wanted to be popular. Despite his cool personality, because of his parents inability to cook (his father used spirit-sword-magic to warm up TV dinners and his mother beat up the oven until it turned on), he became the family chef. He became quite good at it, in fact. As he became more intellectual (re: not really) as he grew up, he began reading more and more advanced books, not understanding what any of them meant.

Because of his parents only being C-list, there was no way he was getting into a prestigious school for superheroes. Thus, he was sent to a no-name school to show that he was truly a hero and "cool" guy.

Quirk:
Swordfish Sword Fist - Transformation-class Quirk
Simply put, Salil can use any part of his body as a sword. Karate chop? Karate slice. Roundhouse kick? Roundhouse slice. You get the idea. Any sort of slicing motion is translated into a blade, so long as he wants to chop things. In all honesty, it's kind of useless since you can just carry a sword or knife around. Plus, if he hits something that's too hard and dense, he just bangs his hand on it. Which hurts. A lot. Karate chopping a pizza into slices is a neat party trick, however.

Swordfish Sword Fist is an okay quirk. I just had a question regarding its appearance when Salil actually uses it. Will spiritual energy coat the body part he uses or will it someone sharpen it anyway?

For comical purposes, it looks like he's just swinging around his hands. Since spiritual energy isn't the most visible thing. Invisible sword dad, yo.

Maybe get a wolf-like features then have the ability to exhale incredibly strongly like the big bad wolf and three little pigs?

Oh! Sorry for the misunderstanding! Hmmm. If you wanted to look like a monstrosity, he could revert into a more primal personality the more he uses his ability. If he receives something that's life threatening and heals back up from that, he'd turn into some rabid beast?

Or if you want something that was more lighthearted, he could get nauseous with compounding effects every time he uses his ability. Recovering from a massive wound would leave him vomiting, but with his body intact?
