Earthbound/Mother RP

Hello, it's Shadow again, however this time around I'm curious about how everyone would like to join an Earthbound-based RP. It would be heavily universe based, so if you haven't played the game... This RP might not be right for you. Also, I'm looking for about... Three to Four people to join (like having a regular party in Mother/Earthbound), so it's basically first come, first serve sort of deal. Of course, I'm going to look over your characters before anything is finalized, so please send me PM of your character sheets and I'll get back to you if they are what I'm looking for. Also, just as a forewarning, I don't want EVERYONE to have PSI attacks... Since that's not how the game works. That's all I can think about adding at the moment, but it's liable to change. As it's almost time for my 2017 runs of the whole Mother series (It's the first thing I do every year, gaming-wise) I'd like to join this.

Though he might be a toolbox. I'm thinking a farmer with relevant tools. Fairly similar to Duster, except not Duster whatsoever.

Well it depends, I have three character ideas but I know I can only use one. 1 female and 2 male.

The female character would be a shy, bookish, offensive PSI user like Kumatora, Puala, and Ana.

One of the male character would be an altruistic and nerdy healer/support PSI user~

The second male Character would be the Boney of the RP, they're very fast and good at using items first. And he is a huge goofball, who loves being quirky and light hearted~

Boney was a great character due to his speed...

Anyways, here's a W.I.P that's nearly done, but still needs editing and knowledge about the world to be finished. But I typed what I had in mind.

PERSONALITY
A very devoted young man. When David believes in something, he is willing to put everything on the line to make sure that thing or person succeeds. Generally kind and helpful, David comes off as being energetic and full of pride, but also extremely naive of most things. He'll often blank out; He's not the smartest kid around, and just doesn't process things as quick as the others. But that doesn't mean he's a bad person; Just a little bit challenged. And regardless, he thinks those challenges can be overcome with his hardworking mindset and determined way of action.

David dislikes those who don't appreciate nature, giving his farmer roots. He wont hesitate to stand up against another kid that is causing a problem, or even adults, for that matter. While some of the others might think before acting, David will go head-first into anything the others are hesitant about. He's a brave soul, and will gladly step ahead of the others to make sure it's safe, as well as defend his friends to the end. While some people overthink things, David sees a narrower, but mostly accurate version of the situation; Often offering insight that sometimes nobody else is capable of..

WEAPON
David uses farming equipment as weapons. Pitchforks, Scythes, and such. Differing types of weapons change his fighting style; While Pitchforks are good for one on one combat and allow David to be more nimble, Scythes are good for hitting groups of enemies, but make David slower due to them being heavier. There are more weapons for him to wield out there, he just needs to find them.

David starts off with the Plain Pitchfork.

ABILITIES

David Himself

David is a very physical individual; His attacks hurt, he can take more hits than the other kids, and while he has no PSI capabilities, he can use his Farmer's Tools to aid in a battle. He's not very fast due to hauling his tools around, but he can drop his bag to gain back some mobility. In a foot race without any of his equipment, he's actually pretty fast. But running around with just his fists doesn't seem too practical.

Farmers Tools/Overworld Utility

David has a selection of garden tools he can use for varying effects in combat. He might not have any fancy PSI or high-tech gizmos, but he promises to get the job done. They can help outside of combat, too. Just ask!

Watering Pail
David pours water onto floors to make them slippery. Mostly used while retreating to slip an enemy up. Can also be used to, of course, water things. When and if necessary.

Hoe
David whacks an enemy upside the head with his hoe, giving them disabling status conditions. If the foe doesn't resist, of course. Good against PSI-using opponents as he can attempt to stop their concentration. Can be used to dig things out of the ground, if necessary. He should've brought a shovel...

Sickle
It's not as large as his scythes, but still hurts. Can cause effects that damage enemies over time. Can also cut things, when necessary. Ropes, vines, and other such things.

Mattock
A one-handed tool similar to a Pickaxe. Deals SMMMMAAASSHHHH damage to armored foes, but doesn't account for David's weapon damage. Rather just his raw Attack stat. Can be used to break rocks, and other hard objects, when used in combination with David's strength.

Wire Brush
Scratches enemies, and lowers defense. Can be used in combination with water and soap to clean things.

Farmer's Intimidation
A farmer's best tool in a lot of situations with his animals is a firm stare and a commanding voice. Just by glaring at an enemy and shouting at them, he can startle them and lower attack stats. This also makes enemies more likely to attack him, allowing him to keep more fragile party members out of harm's way.
He can also use this to scare off lesser threats; Enemies weaker than the party will flee instead of initiating combat.

PERSONALITY
Gale is an overall kind person who wishes to do good. He is friendly and genuine, and, is an honest person regarding his views and feelings to others. Gale is easy going, and an optimist; his catchphrase is "Turn your face toward the sun, and let the shadows fall behind you." He can be rather immature at times, fooling around with his instruments to the point of breaking them. And he has a bad habit of making bad choices, as he lets his emotions control him even if logically there better options laid out to him, but he always takes full responsibility for his actions and owns up to his mistakes.

Gale is a sensitive person; he often feels he's not confident that he's a good role model to the younger members of the group and at times feels he's in the way of these unique and powerful children. This feeling leaves him with a minor lack in self-confidence as Gale seems he doesn't offer much to others. Nevertheless, he does not let it stop him from trying to prove he can be of use. Gale is a little uncomfortable in dealing with the strange things happening in the world, which he only refers to "Strange Voodoo." If he could, he would just avoid the strange things altogether, but he cannot stand around and do nothing while the weird stuff is happening and potentially hurting people.

Gale uses musical instruments as weapons. Guitars, basses, flutes, and trombone and the like. Each weapon has a different set of rhythm combos when he attacks, extending his combo up to 10 times. Flutes have the highest and easiest combo potential but do low damage per hit. Guitars are next they have the second largest combo potential and second easiest combos, and it hits harder than the flute. Basses are next They have the second lowest combos and a hard combo to learn, but the damage per hit is worth it. Trombones have the least combos potential and most difficult to learn, but the damage per hit is the highest of any weapon type Gale can use.

He starts out with a basic guitar

ABILITIES
Gale's combat role:
Gale is the fastest of the all the kids, able to outspeed all of them on foot, even if he's carrying a full inventory. His speediness is the reason why he can combo enemies so easily. But his attacks are on the lower end of the DPS, the same thing with his defenses, he doesn't hit hard or take hits very well. But his speed more than makes up for that. Gale also lacks PSI abilities. And his "Muse" ability makes him useful to the party.

Muse
Gale is very musically inclined. He can think up songs on the spot and use it to bolster up his party's stats or lower enemies by playing a song that weakens them. Each weapon type increases or decreases a certain stat. Flutes affect Speed. Guitar affects strength. Bass affects defense. Trombones causes or cures status effects.

Abrasive but with a heart of gold. Er... not literally has a heart of gold or it would had been pawned off long ago. Generally she does not care about the law let alone the world but she joins the party since all the crazy animals (and people) means more danger, less people to steal from (and potentially tighter communities with harder security), and no place to spend any of her cash.

WEAPON

Flintlock Pistol (Higher tier weapons are battery-powered rayguns): Her basic and starting weapon. 1-enemy target though if there are multiple barrels then it deals damage to a single enemy x times as appropriate.
Bombs: A multi-target weapon. Generally causes less damage than pistols but dealing damage to all enemies makes up for it.
Cannon: Rose pulls a cannon out of seemingly nowhere. A devastating weapon but takes up a turn in preparation. If Rose is stunned or asleep in between her turns, there is a lower amount of damage in the for of a backlash on her.

Abilities

While some PSI powers may be achieved later on for the most part Rose is a range-fighter. What few PSI powers she has are support in nature (mostly status-effects).

SWIPE!
Has a chance at stealing an item from a single enemy.

Scope out
Displays the enemy's stats.

Pickpocket
If used before the party talks to an NPC there is a small chance at them "dropping" an item.

Polite if a bit of a brat. This is not intentional but because she is unaccustomed to talking to others on a personal basis rather than to a servant. She assumes that most things will go her way, underestimates hardships, and presumes everyone knows who she is. She is fearful of wild animals bordering on phobic.

Scepter: Primary weapon. Low in strength but boosts PSI abilities in effectiveness or power.
Sword: Less common but allows for a greater amount of strength and a random chance of hitting the enemy more than once.
Cloth/Flag: Deals barely any damage but causes a random status effect or debuff on the enemy.

Abilities

The party's key 'mage' with a emphasis on 'healer' but a few potent offense powers.

Tantrum
Maryanne can cause enemies to go Berserk, though there is a chance of an ally's next attack hitting her instead out of frustration.
