After looking at my sub load, and other writing/just general stuff I'm doing at the moment, it's going to start causing a little more stress than it should. I love the idea, and hope that this story is gonna work. I'll stay on if anyone wants info, and I will follow the story/be present in the OOC if you'll allow it, though - I like this idea too much to leave it completely.

Yeah, no worries! You can always jump in later on in the story, if your workload lightens up a bit! This type of story will always have room for a new participant, and OOC welcomes you.

@Tenma Tendo Alrighty! She's approved, if you could just power her down a little bit. When Hermes awakens, she could get to the level she is now, but without the god that the ritual revolves around, the rituals would fail, or be extremely weak.

Then, everybody go ahead and add the approved characters to the Characters Thread under a Hider with the character's first and last name, as well as a snippet, maybe one or two paragraphs about them discovering magic and whatnot. I meant to add it original to the CSs for humans! Sorry about that.

@CollectorOfMyst Actually, I've never heard of Iris, but I just looked her up and she seems to be a lot like Hermes but female. Although it would be cool to make her the preferred deity, Hermes seems more likely to be created (not sure if that's what you were getting at though, lol) Sorry to hear that you won't be joining :( But I am glad that you will be staying around! ^^

@Atroposer Ah, alright, that makes sense actually. I could make it like that if it would make it more balanced? And like @TheUnknowable brought up, making the telepathy's sacrifice sentimental makes sense. I'm totally fine with doing this if you want ^^

Thanks for accepting her! So after I make all the changes with the two telepathy abilities, should my character just not be able to do the rituals that I have now until Hermes awakens? Would they just result in the failed versions of those rituals? Or should I just make another ritual until Hermes awakens?

@Tenma Tendo I'd probably say make weaker versions of them, not necessarily the failed versions. Hope that makes sense!

@CollectorOfMyst Ah, I see, I see. Looking at the parallels is indeed interesting. Thanks for letting me know ^^ I'd love to incorporate Iris some way, but I really want Hermes as her preferred deity and a character can have rituals the fall under more than two god(desses). :)

Alright, I'm gonna give it one more day for everyone to get their CS in for the start. Anyone playing a deity can come in later if they'd like, because the story starts with witches and Zeus anyway, and all those bases are covered with four witches, one mind-his-damn-business-Prometheus, and Zeus. Tomorrow evening I should have the IC initial post ready to go. Let me know if any of the witches need a bit more time designing their characters, or if they're good to go.

@TheUnknowable He will be fooled for now. I'd say the Fates have a hand in that. Even then, this Zeus is a tad more rational, thanks to Hera.

@CollectorOfMyst It'll be ironic, in the Ancient Greek poetry sense. But they keep a tight leash on Zeus, by showing Hera every time he misbehaves. The divine snitches, if you will.

@TheUnknowable Agreed. Plus it wouldn't be that fun of Zeus went around swinging his metaphorical dick everywhere. Hell still retain a lot of his previous tendencies, but he won't be a major asshole. Because he's learned he can't anymore. People aren't into it. The age of that is over.
