"That's strange." Derek said smiling at her still. He felt good, and he couldn't deny that hanging out with her was better than most people. "I like that you're here. You're a lot better than most guys here isn't that ironic?" Derek asked laughing. "What do you want to see?" Derek asked when they got to the counter.

She smiled as well. It was hard to not smile when she was around him. "Haha, yes, that is pretty ironic. I guess I'm doing the whole 'being a guy' thing better than most guys." She chuckled and rolled her eyes, obviously not being serious. When they approached the counter, she looked up at the list of movies they were showing right now. There was Spider Man: Homecoming, Dunkirk, Despicable Me 3, and more. Diana was tempted to pick The Emoji Movie just to annoy Derek, but she decided against it. "Hm... how about Dunkirk?" She asked, looking up at Derek. "Does that sound good to you?"

Derek looked around too, putting his hands in his pockets and looked down at her giving a soft shrug at her question. "Let's try.." he trailed off trying to think about what he wanted to watch. What was he in the mood to just stare at for two hours without it having him fall asleep? "Okay, okay. I know what we can watch. Let's watch Moana." He said pointing to the movie that was still there because it was a cheap movie threater. "And hear me out, I always liked Disney movies. Hell my dad took my through the studios himself. Anyways, no guys wanted to go with me and I love keeping up on Disney movies. Come with me!" He said really excited grinning.

Diana couldn't help but smile happily and laugh at Derek's unexpected excitement over a Disney movie. It was nice to see him get really happy about something. Since it made him happy, it made her happy, too.

She looked around to make sure the coast was clear before saying, "Moana it is, then," in her normal voice. Still grinning, her hand suddenly started to reach towards his without her even realizing it. She caught herself halfway and quickly dropped it back to her side. Aghh, Diana, you idiot! she thought to herself, What was I thinking?? God, I hope he didn't notice. She looked away, a faint blush painted on her face, and clasped her hands behind her back. She was just going to play it cool as if that never happened. After all, there was the possibility he didn't notice her reaching for his hand in the first place.

Derek smiled not noticing her hand that much. He thought he saw her move her arm up but he went up to the counter so he could get them the tickets. "Two tickets for Moana, please." He said. The guy behind the counter started to do his things.

"Your girlfriend making you watch it?" The guy said laughing a bit. "Sorry man."

Derek just gave a soft smile. The guy noticed that she looked like a girl so he looked back. He raised an eyebrow while walking back to her. "We are going shopping after this because he just recognized you're a girl and you need help with your clothes." He said looking down at her clothes and continued to walk to the popcorn.

Diana giggled a bit when the man behind the counter asked if his girlfriend was making him watch it. Both of his assumptions were wrong; the one where he assumed she was his girlfriend, and that she was forcing him to watch it. After getting their tickets, they started walking towards the concession stand. "Ooh shopping," Diana said happily. "You'll be like my own personal stylist! When we're done, nobody will ever be able to immediately recognize me as a girl again."

They arrived at the concession stand. Diana looked up at their menu. "Hm.. want to share a large popcorn? It's a better deal than just getting two smalls," she asked, glancing over at Derek. "And since you paid for the tickets, I call dibs on paying for this!" She smiled.

Derek nodded his head. "Hell yeah I'll make you look so good. And you kind of smell like a girl, so there's a lot you have to change but it's okay. I'll help you out with that." He said smiling at her then looked up ahead to see what their options were. "The only way I'll eat popcorn is two ways. One with jalapeños or popcorn and chocolate raisins." He said looking back at her. Usually a lot of girls get grossed out.

"Hm," she replied neutrally as he told her the only ways he'll eat popcorn. "That doesn't sound like it suits my personal fancy, but hey, you do you." She grinned at him with a little shrug then walked up to the cashier and ordered two small popcorns, one with extra butter and the other with some chocolate raisins mixed in. The cashier gave her an odd look and charged a little extra for the raisins, but got the orders prepared without question. Diana paid and turned back to Derek, handing him his popcorn. "Bada bing, bada boom. So when you said I smelled too much like a girl, does that mean I smell too good?" She chuckled. "Perhaps I don't smell enough like sweat and football."

Derek grinned when he saw his popcorn kind. He loved how there was chocolates in it. This was so much fun for him and he was enjoying himself more than he thought he would with a girl. earlier in the morning, he thought Damien was a weird gay kid but now he's was hanging out with her. "Thanks." He said grabbing his popcorn and walking towards their movie. When he heard her, he looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Yes and no? You smell of flowers and all of those natural products girls usually have. Guys just smell of showers or working out, or not showering at all. There's no in between." He said then walked into their movie.

Diana trailed into the room their movie was showing in and hopped up the steps ahead of Derek. The only other people in the theater was a mother and two kids who looked to be 5 and 8. She stopped at the middle row and turned to him. "The middle of the middle row is the perfect place to sit," she whispered, walking into the row. "Not too high and not too low. Perfect spot to get absorbed into the movie. Normally not taken spots too, since everybody is so obsessed with sitting in the back." She walked to one of the middle seats and sat down.

As she sat, a car commercial came on. Diana always thought those could be so dramatic sometimes. They often started off with a sentimental story that concluded with great joy or relief caused by a new car. She crossed her legs and looked up at the screen.

Derek nodded. "I know that's why I picked these seats." He said smiling at her. He looked down at her legs when she crossed them and moved her leg off of the other. "Get out of that habit now. It'll come up naturally." He said then looked at the screen. "This movie would be a lot better without kids." Derek grumbled quietly as the kids were laughing and screaming.

Diana quickly uncrossed her legs and nodded. "Right, right. Guys aren't cool enough to cross her legs," she joked and teasingly stuck her tongue out at him. She then glanced behind her at the screaming and laughing kids. The older of the two was trying to stick a piece of popcorn up their younger sibling's nose. "Yikes," Diana whispered and quickly turned back around. "If I ever have kids and they behave like that... I'd have a breakdown." She chuckled a bit and shook her head. Suddenly the movie began to start, and thankfully the kids' mother hushed them. Diana shifted her attention to the movie and popped a couple pieces of popcorn into her mouth.

"I would never want to have kids like that. Maybe one kid though." Derek said. Now it really felt like a date to him. How they were so comfortable with each other, it would look like they had been dating for a while. He liked it. But he knew not to do anything with her, mostly because it could ruin her chances of being at the school.

After the movie, Derek stood up and looked down at her. "That was a great movie." He said smiling. "Let's go to the mall now!"

After the movie, Diana stood up as well. The kids were already prancing down the steps, screaming and cheering as their mom followed behind them. "Well, at least they kept their energy on hold throughout the film," Diana commented with a little laugh. She looked up at Derek and started walking out. It had been nice sitting through a movie with him, even if there was no physical contact of any sort between the two. At the end of the day, it was simply being with him that mattered most to Diana.

But that didn't stop some part of her from wanting more. She quickly reminded herself that that would be impossible. Derek was an attractive rich kid who had expectations to live up to. Diana didn't want to be the reason his father looked down on him. Thus, she tried to push her growing attraction to him to the back of her mind.

"Alright, personal stylist. Mall time. Make me look like the manliest man ever." For emphasis, she flexed, even though her arms were skinny and had essentially zero muscle. "Feel free to be amazed by my rippling biceps."

Derek raised an eyebrow at her while they walked out of the building. "Wow, those are the biggest I have ever seen." He teased giving her tiny arms a poke jokingly. He began to like her, now he knew that. He wasn't going to give anything up for it though. It was weird that he felt so comfortable with her more than most of the people he's been with for a long time. Harry was the only person he could think of that he was more comfortable with. Derek hid a lot of things because he was always scared to show who he truly was, but slowly he felt like he could show her his true self.

He always gave the impression that he was someone who knew what they were doing, and lived up to his father expectations. But he couldn't really. His father and Derek knew that. It was too much pressure. He wasn't able to be a teenager and enjoy himself like most kids can. He was always being watched. If not his father, then teachers, media sometimes, and hell his own peers. How could he show how much of a mess he really was to a girl he just met yesterday?

Derek thought about this, biting his bottom lip and sighing while they went to the mall that was across the street. "Here we are. I'll turn you in a man. Go all Milan on you." He joked going into a store that he liked to go into. He started to look around for clothes. "Go pick out some clothes that you like and I'll tell you if they are good or not." He said.

As quiet as the store was, all Derek could hear was himself. Maybe he should just stop hanging with Diana but himself. He should hangout with her and the group, so nothing will really go on. I can't do that.. Derek thought to himself. He shuffled through clothes while he thought about this. He didn't want to. He just wanted to have a good time with her. It didn't mean it had to lead anywhere. Knowing himself, he knew he would possibly push for more. Not sex though. Thinking too much usually made him upset when he was out hanging out like this but this time he couldn't. He liked her as a friend. I like her as a friend.. He thought to himself just not accepting his feelings.

Diana did as he instructed and walked off to find clothes once they were in the store. Let's see... what would suit me? She was much more knowledgeable when it came to what women's clothes looked good on her; not men's. The clothes she brought with her to the boarding school were mostly picked out on a whim. The hoodie I wore yesterday covered me well, perhaps I should find another one of those. She looked around until she saw an area that had plenty of sweaters and hoodies for guys. Pleased, she strolled over to it and looked through the clothes until she found a burgundy hoodie that she liked.

I can't wear hoodies every day. Diana sighed to herself and walked over to some button up shirts. Looking through them, it took a bit to find a couple she liked. One had blue and grey plaid while the other was a solid green color.

(Sorry for how short this is compared to your most recent post, I know that can be annoying!)

Derek watched her for a moment before looking down at his phone seeing it was Cadence. For some reason, he answered it but didn't say hello. He just wanted to hear what she has to say. She was crying on the phone sounded drunk as hell. He looked at Diana and turned his back to her. "What do you want?" He asked quietly.

"I miss you.." she cried. He just sighed into the phone, not knowing how to handle a drunk girl calling his phone. "Please see me tomorrow.." she begged him.

"Cadence I'll talk to you later." He hung up the phone before she could say anything else. Derek turned around and walked towards Diana. "What are you getting?"

(It's okay! As long as it isn't a one sentence response!)

Diana turned to Derek when he approached her and held up what she had so far. Looking around before speaking, she said, "Hey, I have a hoodie and a couple button ups right now. The button ups are in a bigger size to hide my boobs since those girls are a dead giveaway I'm a, well, girl. The hoodie should be baggy enough anyway to hide 'em so I'm not worried about that." She gave a casual shrug and smiled a bit. There wasn't much she could do about her height and her petite frame, so she hid what she could. Perhaps she could wear small shoulder pads underneath her clothes if it were the 1930's to create the illusion of broader, more masculine shoulders. But since that era was a long time ago, the thought of wearing shoulder pads seemed a bit extra and thus it was something Diana was hesitant to do.

Glancing at what she was holding up, she asked, "Are these colors okay? Do you like what I have picked out? Or will these at least keep me from looking homeless? I still need to find some t-shirts. Hopefully the pants I already have are fine." She dropped her arms, draping the shirts over her left arm. This day had been flying by so far. It was almost going by too fast. She looked up at Derek, waiting to hear his opinion.

"I like the button ups but don't make them too big." Derek said grabbing one shirt from her looking at how big it was. He went back to where she got it from and got a smaller size. A good size for her not to be too tight or too big. "This is going to be a really weird question but do you have a small chest or are you like.. wrapping it?" Derek asked awkwardly.

She took the replacement button up shirt from him and draped that over her arm. "Oh, it's small. I could never bind myself. Too much of a risk of causing respitory problems or bruising, plus I imagine it's painful." Diana shrugged then stepped away. "Well, I'm going to go hunt down some t-shirts. You can go find some clothes for yourself or something, if you wish." Smiling, she gave him a little wave before turning around and walking away.

Soon she came across a nice section of t-shirts. There were polos, graphic tee's, everything. I don't want to look like trash, but I also don't want anything too classy. Humming to herself, she looked around. A store employee must have noticed her roaming, so they appeared behind her with the classic customer support smile.

"Hello!" The voice said. It was a woman's voice. Diana jumped a bit, startled by the sudden greeting, but quickly recovered and smiled back at the woman.

Diana turned to the employee. "Oh, hi!" She said in return.

The woman appeared to be at least 50. She was tall and thin with some wrinkles around her eyes and mouth. "How are you today, young lady? Shopping for anybody in particular today?"

"I'm good, thank you. I'm um.." Should I tell her I'm shopping for myself? Would she think oddly of me for buying strictly men's clothes? "..shopping for my... boyfriend!" Diana lied, shifting a bit. This was uncomfortable.

The woman looked down at what Diana was holding, then back up at her face. She looked confused, but still smiled. "Oh... are you replacing his whole wardrobe?" She chuckled.

Diana chuckled as well then shook her head. "No, no. He just... um.. really loves clothes!"

"Ah, I see," the woman replied, no longer looking that confused. She was going to say something else before another costumer came and tapped her on the shoulder to ask for help, drawing her away from Diana. Once she was gone, Diana gave a little sigh of relief and continued her search.
