@ManyThingsi'd say they're alright if not a bit vague like base familiar. Like what type of familiar is it? Spiritual? Golem?

@vancexentanLike a small animal or something. I assumed that was the default, but after reading up on the subject on the wiki I guess it's worth specifying.

EDIT: Come to think of it, maybe he should build small creatures out of earth/rocks instead.

@ManyThingsThat would probably make more sense there aren't that many familiars conjured of pure magical energy to my knowledge.

@vancexentanThat was never my plan. I was originally going with reanimating small animals with magic circuits, the way most mages do it. Making little rock creatures seems thematically better, though, as long as a rock bird can still fly.

I would assume that could work but it would require specifically honed magecraft.

@vancexentanI mean flying is a pretty key feature in familiars meant for scouting and patrol. If you're saying it's unreasonable for rock birds to fly I'll probably just go back to the animal corpses.

@ManyThingsI mean it's fine but he'd need specialized training in order to do it. As rocks don't usually float off the ground more so than corpses. You'd need to make them specially to go, and do certain jobs not unlike golems.

Sorry, I have been adjusting to a new schedule that I recently got into so its been a bit wacky this week. As for my Master, I believe it should be done by this weekend if not Monday the latest.

@vancexentanI'll probably go with stone animal golems, then. Unless you think it's to far-fetched for him to have that kind of training? The Thanes used to be known for stealing research so it's not crazy that he might have access to some obscure little magic tricks like that.

@ManyThings Its fine with me. Magic is magic it doesn't need to be thought out that thoroughly. Shirou turned a paper poster into a pipe basically sometimes you just gotta take things at face value.
