[Mister Thirteen]

So, it has been inspired to me to create a group Roleplay based from Warrior Cats. However, instead of cats, this RP will be about wolves. It will tell the story of two separate “nations” of wolves and their struggle to survive as food becomes scarce and intruding parties (other predatory animals) begin to encroach upon their lands. As the direness grows, the two separate wolf nations will be faced with war, amongst both themselves as well as intruders. This RP will explore elements from Warrior Cats such as war, persecution, politics, religion, undying love, and new life.

Firstly, the two separate wolf nations are the Timberwolves and the Black Wolves. The Timberwolves are a large nation of wolves of diverse genus's and coats. The Black Wolves are literally a nation of all solid black wolves.
The Timberwolves are firm, docile, and calm at heart. The Black Wolves are aggressive, fierce, and short of temper with strong personalities. They are also effectively xenophobes as they view all other canine species as inferior to wolves. They are view the Timberwolves as weak and knock-kneed, believing that a true wolf is fiery at heart and mind and lives to hunt and fight.
The Black Wolves at one point were in a war of persecution with the coyotes of their land, and slaughtered those who did not flee. Many coyotes fled to the Southern Plains or into Evershade, the homeland of the Timberwolves. The Black Wolves have also warred with the Dingoes in the past over food sources, and briefly with the bears years ago.

The Timberwolves are totally unlike the Black Wolves. They are accepting of the existence of other canines and are more serene in nature, hunting only for food and not sport like the Black Wolves, and honoring Mother Nature, the creator of all.

I feel that for now that is enough information. I will add more later as a potential following of those interested builds. Below, you can see an unfinished version of the map I’m sketching up for the RP.

THE CANINES OF THE LAND

Timberwolves-A gentle, passive breed of wolfkind. The Timberwolves are unified in their respect for the land, Mother Nature, and are understanding of the circle of life. They choose unity over segregation and hatred. They hunt for food and survival, and appreciate their prey as s necessity for their own existence. They make their home in the wooded forest of Evershade as they have come to call it.

Black Wolves-The Black Wolves are unified by their coats of black, their xenophobic disdain for “lesser” canines, and their lust for blood and fighting. They effectively worship the spirits of their ancestors over a supreme deity like Mother Nature. They hunt for sport and kill for amusement, and see the land they walk as their’s for the taking. Years ago they mass committed a kind of “ethnic cleansing” of the Coyotes in their territory, slaughtering them to a minor fraction. The few coyotes who survived what they call the “Night of Slaughter” fled to Evershade or the Southern Plains, becoming intergrated with the Timberwolves and Dingoes.

Coyotes-The Coyotes are nigh on extinct, having been murdered in mass eight years ago on the dreadful “Night of Slaughter”, driven from the Black Lands. Since then, those that have survived live in secluded dens within Evershade and the South Plains, more or less accepted into the graces of the Timberwolves and Dingoes. The Coyotes hunt only in sturdy packs and refuse to travel alone or allow their young to do the same. Like the Timberwolves, they are reverent of nature and hunt only for basic survival. They carry a burning hatred for the Black Wolves.

Not any direct questions, I’m curious to see some more of the political and societal aspects to the wolves, such as how they select new leaders, what kind of hierarchical structure do the individual packs have, are they separated into smaller packs within a larger kingdom, such as multiple packs of black wolves and multiple packs of timberwolves or are they just two large packs? Do the wolves have codes of honor, akin to the warrior’s code from the Warriors books? The religious compenents are curious too, such as the differential between the black wolves anscestors, and the timberwolves worship of Mother Nature.

The Black Wolves political structure is very basic. Each pack is lead by a single leader, and all packs and their leaders are ruled over by the Kin Master. Black Wolf pack leaders are chosen by trials of combat. Every full moon, those wishing to be pack leader must have the support of at least half the pack to issue the challenge, else it can be ignored by the current leader.
Kin Master’s can be challenged once at the first of every year, with the support of over half the pack leaders present. Or else it can be ignored. During the untimely death of a Kin Master, two pack leaders are voted on. The two must then duel to the death, the winner is the new Kin Master of the Black Wolves.

Timberwolf politics are different. Pack leaders are based on blood-lines and succession, each Timberwolf pack has a leader and an heir. Heirs are nearly always the eldest pup of the pack leader. Next in line beneath all of their pups is their immediate relatives. Challenges can still be issued however, but practically the entire pack must support the challenger, or else this is seen as treason against the current ruling bloodline.
Timberwolf packs have no absolute leader or overload. Each pack instead have always more or less respected their own territories. The Timberwolf pack leaders all meet together every full moon and have a “monthly council” per say.

As for a “code of combat”, I’m working on that.
