Mobile Suit Gundam: Return of War.

The year is UC 0257 The Earth Federation has been rebuilt and created a time of peace and prosperity. Their engineer’s having been allowed to rebuild and restore old Mobile Suits and Gundams alike as a statement to the long history of war and suffering. The suits are stationed on the Space Colony Advent, where they remain as a museum of sorts. The military while still rigorously trained is somewhat looked down upon as they seem to be useless in the eyes of the public and many believe they need to be disbanded entirely. Federation officers disagree, Many feel that there may still be a threat out there waiting to attack. They would be correct, A newly formed Zeon now called Fukushū Zeon has been slowly building ranks from the outer sections of the Earthsphere and guiding them to regions of space farther than the Federation wants to travel to build their forces. Now they make their move. The first contact was December 7th, 0256 Side 7 falls under attack by a then-unknown fleet of mobile suits and nearly falls were it not for the enemy pulling out just as they were about to take the point. A transmission then reached the Earth Federation base on Earth where a man wearing an old Zeon uniform appeared and announced the rise of Fukushū Zeon. He introduced himself as Crimson Hold. An alias that he would be known by for now. He announced that he was leading this group and they had grown tired of the federation's rule and demanded the federation step down and disband or face their destruction. A week later Side 7 fell to the enemy and a new War began. The federation scrambled to train new Mobile Suit pilots and recruit as many new soldiers as they could manage and before they knew it the Federation was nearly back to its former glory at the height of their power. Then the space Colony Advent was attacked…

Welcome those who are interested. This is a super ambitious project for me and I really hope I can get some people to help me out with this and enjoy playing in this world as much as I hope. If things go properly we should have another GM to help me run things smoothly and hopefully one of you will be willing to do so. My idea is that of a heavily faction based game where players choose between joining the new Zeon faction or The Earth Federation. the GMs will act as leaders for each faction and will help each player along the way to the best of their abilities. Now I'm sure I can guess what people are going to ask and so I'm going to list a few bullets here that will serve as a reference point hopefully covering the questions.

- Multiple characters are allowed to a maximum of 2 unless the GMs agree to allow you to play a third based on you're playing of the two you already have
- The MS from Gundam Unicorn are to be inquired about beforehand as many of them are biometrically locked to one user and the suits themselves are insanely powerful.
- Zeon forces will, of course, be using those style of MS (Zaku, Dom, Kampfer, etc) and the Federation will be using the Federation style (GM, Jegan, ReZEL, etc)
- Our player characters will all have the option to have their MS be unique or Gundam-esque in fashion. Example for Zeon being Char's Zaku and more unique types of custom MS as well as having Gundams available for the Federation forces.
- IF a Zeon Player were to have come up with a logical and understandable reason for their character to be piloting an actual Gundam. Such as they were able to pilot said Gundam after being trained by the Federation and took their Gundam when they defected to Zeon. then they will be allowed to do so upon GM approval.
- A CS will be posted with the OOC so that players can build characters for the most part altogether. Feel free to work together on building interpersonal relationships, perhaps a pair of brothers on different sides of the conflict, a pair of ace pilots equals in every way that always seems to meet on the battlefield. these kinds of character stories are what make RP and Gundam both great and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I'm interested. I am highly interested in playing an old style Zeon fighting to be independent and following Contolism at least loosely. Where would that fit into the factions?

I'm not fully sure but if you wanted to play a Zeon fighter you're welcome to be a Zeon member

I even have a couple MSs in mind. One that I didn't keep on the list is one from Gaia Gear since it is apparently cut from canon. Otherwise, it is a Doven Wolf or a Zssa.

My idea is that my character will be a big proponent of the original Zeon desires. If they agree and want to work towards that, he will help. If not, he is likely to start a rebellion or insurgency. If the Federation gives good reason, he might even be convinced to defect.

When you say our pilots can have unique MS/Gundam do you mean that we can create our own or are we able to choose MS and Gundam from the other Gundam universes e.g. Gundam Wing?

I am really badly torn, i'd love to play as an aquatic Zeon suit, mainly because my favourite suits include Z'Gok, Kapool, Acguy and Hygogg, But i suspect that the ocean battles will be few and far between. That being said, if special suits are allowed, then Sazabi is another favourite, but i suspect that it's because it's the bastard offspring of 2 of my favourite space suits, Quebeley and Gelgoog

Honestly I'm down for a Sazabi that suit is a monsterous piece of awesome. and as for unique suits I was thinking either option works. either we can have some of us running around in wing suits or 00 suits. or even making their own works for me as long as the suits aren't over powered as hell anyway. and @mattmanganon if you wanted to do the Sazabi route would you be willing to lead the Zeon force?

Speaking of making my own MS, I might do so and take a lot from the Gaia Gear MS for inspiration as well as bastardize my other choices in. We will see how this Contolism Zeon warrior will fare once we get CS going.

So, if i'm going to be playing this Crimson Hold guy, then allow me to set the stage for his "State of the union" speech.

One might call this the "Pawns Defence" of "How to start a war in the Universal Century." The name inspires fear and awe. To some of you, it inspires images of great Zaku's rolling over Federation tanks. Of the Red Comet and White Devil trading Beam-saber clashes at Jaburo, A Baoa Qu and Texas Colony. To others, it may represent the cruelty of the Zabi family, of the colony's dropped on Sydney and Dublin, the madness of Char Aznable and his attempt to drop Axis. To me, it represents the ideals of Zeon Rem Deikun; of his love for humanity and his wishing for them to move into outer space."

To make them understand what it is like to live in Space and why their uncaringness towards us cannot continue. Who knows, maybe it will lead us to accelerate our plans as we, the human race, begin to move forward with the colonization of Mars, Jupiter and the other heavenly bodies. Maybe in 100 billion years, when our sun goes Supernova, our decendants will look back on us and say "It is still the most beautiful planet, I am glad our ancestors were able to enjoy it."

"We are not going to make the same mistakes of Past Zeon's. Under the Zabi's, Haman Karn, Char Aznable, Full Frontal. We will fight this war with conventional weapons. Nothing so underhanded as Operation British. We will fight with Mobile Suits, with Warships and we will fight their armies, not their civilians. Because this war will be for you, the people. That is why i will come onto my next point. There will be no "Hail Zeons" Because Zeon is nothing without its people. Instead, i hail to you. I lead you because i am the manifestation of your wishes and your wants." He steps out from behind the bullet proof in front of his podium. "And finally, we will differ for the main reason that counts." He pulls out a gun and fires a shot into the air. "Do not be alarmed. I merely wish to show you that this gun is real. There has always been a divide between the Rulers and the Citizens of the governments, be they Earthling or Spacenoid, so i issue this to you. Anyone that does not wish for me to go through with this, this gun is loaded and i will hand it over to any of you that wishes to "Stop my evil plan" My guards have been ordered to not interfere and i promise now, whoever chooses to do so will not receive any punishment." He looks around at the crowd. "Come on, i'm deadly serious. The price of Peace is at an all-time low. Less than a bag of bread. Whoever does go through with this, you will be labelled a hero. You stopped a war by a despot that will kill millions of people... You will not be punished, because your punishment will be more severe than any court can possibly give down. You will lay awake at night and ask "What if he was right? What if we could have done it... What if i ended any and all hope for the freedom of Spacenoids?" Because, dear people, i promise you, i will not be the last. I will not be the last person to dig up the name of Zeon Deikun, but i am the only one to take up his name with honest and true intentions. The next despot may be a power hungry lunatic that drops another colony on Earth, a madman like Jamitov Hymen who gasses any colony that refuses to follow him. You need to look around and ask yourself. "Do i wish to follow him?" Well, do you? If not, then please, put me out of my misery now, because if the Spacenoids will not follow, then we have failed before we have started. We need to stand together. We need to rise up whilst we have the chance to do it with morals. We need to rise up whilst we have the chance to do it with Integrity! We need to rise up so that our children and our childrens children do not have to. HAIL TO THE PEOPLE! HAIL TO THE PEOPLE! HAIL TO THE PEOPLE!
