Hey all! Given that the day in which we feast over the alter of the proud turkey is nigh, I want to let ya'll know that you don't have to worry about posting this week! (Unless you want to!) Have an awesome time with your family and friends. For all of our non-American friends, sorry you don't get to celebrate the best holiday of the year, but you can definitely celebrate your free healthcare, so have fun with that!

@over easy Just FYI, if you'd notice Val doing anything at all, it would be chatting to Angie, probably sitting down with her and being involved in their convo, then they'd both be spaced up getting caught in a past memory, which finally switches to this mental simulation thingy (at least, that's how I think Angela's powers and the simulation-hallucination-hypnosis power would be most conveniently combined).

@Cio I was kind of thinking she could identify the emotions of whatever beast is lurking around and see something hidden in them...like maybe not such a scary beast? I kind of thought of Erina as having a more "He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster" philosophy. She wouldn't put a beast in a cave without providing a way to defeat it without brute force.

Fight or flight is a helluva thing, if that thing comes in here it's gettin' shanked. That said this is all self defence, it would be stupid to go picking a fight with the big nasty.

@over easy The only problem is that if it's not human/humanoid, Cam isn't able to sense it. Cam can't connect to animals, the only reason she could with the cat was because he was actually a human inhibiting the cat. She mentioned earlier that she couldnt read animals and thats why she freaked out so much.

But if the monster has human brains/thinks/feels like humans... Then Cam could "see" it.

@WittyReference@Cio That's kind of why I thought Cam's more empathic powers could come in handy, like kind of a how to train your dragon deal lol *hint* *hint*. I think Erina would make it possible for Cam to understand the beast. :)

@Cio That's definitely what I was thinking for the beast - like the whole simulation is a puzzle and each individual has a key (their abilities) that can help to solve a piece of it. So it's a bit surreal, but Cam should be able to hear it's thoughts if Erina designed the puzzle!

@CioAlso, if you weren't comfortable stretching Cam's powers to the more beastly persuasion, you also help the group identify another individual, maybe the beast's handler or something that is accompanying it, but can't be sensed by the rest of us? Lots of options!

@over easy no, that makes sense and I'm okay with it: Cam can probably read it's emotions if its designed that way. The only time Cam can *understand* thoughts is if it's in a language she recognizes (aka english or lithuanian). Emotions however are universal

Okay, Cam isnt fluent because never had to use the language except for around her grandparents xD
Thats also because I know zero words in Lithuanian, much less grammar lol

Also, if I forgot to specifically name your character or their abilities, sorry! I was really hoping for this to be an inclusive exercise and I'd love to hear some ideas about how you feel your character could best participate. Also, shoot me any ideas for any puzzles that would be interesting to hide around for your characters! Also, some of my character mentions may have been too subtle.

@RumikoOhara I left the items in the center of the room for Angie to try to pick up any memories from them.
@SilverPaw Your character's hyper-sensory abilities would be so SUPER useful here.
