"He did illusion tricks, right? Cutting people in half, making cards vanish, that sort of thing?"

Eric blinked. He looked shocked.
"you...you didn't have to do that."

Angel nodded.
"mainly those, yeah. why?"

Marin smiles. "Maybe not, but I want to. Do you mind if I keep this?" she holds up the eyepatch in emphasis.

Eric blinked.
"...why...do you want that?"
He covered his one eye with his hand out of habit.

Marin tucks the eyepatch under her arm and steps close to him. She takes the hand that covers his eye into her own. "So you won't be tempted to cover your eye again. I know what it's like to feel alone, left out because there seems to be no one like you. To want to pretend and blend in so much you start to believe your just like everyone else. But let me tell you something. You're different, and that's not a bad thing. If you were like everyone else, that's one less person that people like I are in common with."

Eric turned red. He didn't know what to say. He just managed a nod. He found himself leaning in towards her without realizing it at first.

Marin turns red and her eyes widen slightly, still red.

Eric blinked and quickly realized what he was doing. He gasped and pulled back, turning bright red.

Marin sighs softly and looks away, blushing furiously. She gets a glass of water, then murmurs, "Good night", her back turned to him.

Eric blinked. He sighed.
"i'm so stupid!!"
He broke a glass when he slammed his fist on the counter.

"I can almost remember everything you're talking about, but not quite. And it's driving me nuts."

Marin jumps a little, then she stumbles forward and braces herself on the counter, breathing heavily. “Excuse me,” she mutters and quickly rushes to the bathroom. Her hurling can be heard.

Eric tended to the cuts on his hand before he got ready for bed. Then, he decided to avoid Marin for a while. He assumed she would hate him now.

Angel touched his cheek with me hand.
"One step at a time. Don't worry."

He nods. "Ok. It 'll take a while, if ever, for my memories to return." He lightly touches her hand, softly rubbing it.

Angel nodded. She understood.

He smiles, and reaches up, stopping near his head. "Should I take my hood off?"

Angel blinked.
"Are you sure?"

[Shadow Dragon]

"I've been hiding for so long." He shrugs.

Angel nodded. She looked him in the eye.
"But you never hid from me. I'm not afraid."

He takes a deep breath, and pulls off his hood, reviling his scarred face and glowing golden eyes.
