  You don't know where you are, or how you got here - the woodland you wake up in isn't like anything you've seen before. The sight and scent of the surrounding wildflowers are as unfamiliar as the birdsong filling the air. You even see the occasional otherworldly shimmer in the corner of your eye. It's a paradise of colour, of light, of beauty. Like something out of a fairy tale. Too bad fairy tales aren't as nice and pretty as they're commonly thought to be. You're not alone. Others wake in the clearing, teenagers like you. They are human, but the forest's inhabitants are not. Glimpses of hidden faces, laughter in the breeze, make it clear you're not here by accident. And the longer you stay here, the clearer something else becomes. You have to get out. Fast. If you can find a way out, that is. Your captors aren't going to let their playthings escape easily. Amidst the constant trickery and threat, the only ones you can trust are your fellow kidnapped children - or so it seems. Illusions and enchantments blur the lines between friend and foe. You may even find your humanity gradually slipping away as this place's magic takes a hold of you. Even if you somehow avoid this and make it out, will you become as cruel and ruthless as the fairies, simply by doing what it takes to survive? |

Skilled tricksters, they do not lie outright, but deceive by bending the truth and crafting elaborate illusions with glamours. Much like children who pull the wings off of butterflies, their curiosity is rarely harmless. Some may be benevolent to a degree, but even their moral compass differs to that of humans, and their help is at a price. They naturally live hundreds of years, some never aging past their prime at all, which is one reason why they view human life as of little consequence. However, they can be injured, including mortally so. Many are weak against iron to some extent, but some types of fae, as well as older and more powerful ones, lack this vulnerability. |

She needed to go to high school for that. She tried making friends, but Hannei was an easy target for bullying given her enthusiasm and dissimilarity to the other children. This caused her to attach tighter to her sister who, also being a bit of a weirdo, enforced each other's weirdness. Most twins you meet are normal people who just happen to be twins. This is not the case with Hannei and Aina.
Despite it's regularly, Hannei never really got used to being teased and her outbursts and heart-on-her-sleeve nature only made her a bigger target. But she did learn how to hurt other people's feelings which made some people back off, and if the people she doesn't like just happen to have a virus installed on their phone, then that's just a happy accident.
Hannei had dragged Aina along to test out her new RC drone in one of the more abandoned back alley ways of Tokyo, where she had set up cardboard ramps. It got stuck behind a dumpster that it couldn't escape. She kneeled down to try and grab it when she did she accidentally bumped her head. Not that big of a deal, but when she felt dizzy and found herself falling to her knees and slumping forward, she wondered if maybe that little bump was a big deal after all.
When she woke up, she was in a different place, with an unconscious older sister draped across her.

Her twin sister is one of the few people she can comfortably rely on without feeling guilty. She was talented and wanted to become a gymnast. There is something of a paradox of desperately wanting to win and then desperately wanting to become invisible when everyone applauds your victory.
Aina has a rare condition called cataplexy + narcolepsy. Very occasionally, a few times a month, perhaps, she will fall asleep against her will and nap for a few seconds or a few minutes. However more often then not, she will suffer a cataplexic attack. When undergoing extreme emotions, such as fear, anger, sadness, joy, or laughter, she will lose control of her muscles and become exhausted. This exhaustion will usually lead to a moment of narcolepsy.
It was a tough condition, one that made competing difficult. To win a competition, overwhelmed with joy, only to feel her legs give out from under her and her world go black shortly after. To be sitting in a passenger seat of a car, experience a spooky moment with a bad driver, and then slump unconscious against the window. It was a difficult life, but she could always count on her sister to look out for her. This support made her confident. She stuck up for her sister against her bullies and continued to compete and win. Managing her emotions became easier over time with training and the help of medication. So she continued on her path as an athlete and the post-victory naps she had gotten used too became less frequent as a result. It was a positive feedback loop. The less scared she was of her condition, the less control it had over her.
She and her sister rely on each other for different reasons, be it emotional or physical support. They are as close as can be and seem to be the only people in the world who truly understand and unconditionally support each other, no matter what. Their parents have been supportive and loving, but it is exhausting to be a parent when your little girls are this much of a handful.

Personality: Freya's quiet on the surface, and not the easiest girl to open up. She'd much rather listen to others than talk about herself, and at times can seem secretive or sly. She may enjoy writing, but she's not the best with words when put on the spot. She's never made friends easily, something she's actually quite hard on herself about.
Despite her enjoyment of archery, Freya is not violent at all, practicing it at first as a way to spend time with a friend and later as a way to find some inner peace. She'll resort to violence only if she feels she has no other choice. Bravery is not something she lacks, though, and she'll jump at a chance to help others, so she can make ties with actions rather than words.
Freya has been looking for a fresh start around new faces for a while now. This is not exactly what she had in mind.
History: Freya grew up the younger of two children in a fairly well off family, spending most of her childhood in a moderately sized Pacific Northwest town. She had a stable, normal life for the most part, finding her interests in school in things like art and writing, and beyond it in activities like archery and rock climbing. Freya wasn't the most popular or outgoing girl, but she had a steady circle of friends and a healthy home life.
Her world was turned upside down at the age of 16, however, when she and her best friend were hit by a drunk driver while Freya was behind the wheel. She made it out with only a broken bone in her arm, but her friend was killed. The trauma from that is something she still hasn't properly dealt with, and over her senior year of high school is proceeded to deteriorate several aspects of her life, the social parts more than anything.
She withdrew into isolation for a while, but near the end of her senior year her friends convinced her to skip school on a Friday and take a camping trip. It proved to be just what she needed, and started the process of turning her spirits around before she heads off to the east coast for a fresh start at a university.
But she never made it home. Freya got separated from the others on the road back, and pulled over to look up directions. That was when she felt the dizziness set in, and a few seconds later she slumped back in her seat. She woke up somewhere completely different.

|| Walé is a good guy, to put it simply. He’s the type of guy that works hard, holds the door for people, and doesn’t try to be something that he isn’t. Although not seeming to be the brightest, he is painfully observant and clever. As such, he likes to act flamboyant and silly around among his friends. He stands out in a crowd and by no means falls victim to peer pressure. He tends to radiate a positive aura that latches onto the good spirits of others. Even when going through the motions, and it’d take something dramatic to faze him.
When he does end up in a mood, he drags his feet, his head hangs just a little bit lower; his heart's on his sleeve. He has depressed periods that he often tries his best to hide in public, which can constitute with him being overly comical at times. Walé is very defensive about his mom and sensitive to those who don’t particularly treat their mothers well. When really fired up, he'll get testy and confrontational, albeit never violent.
● History
|| Wallace didn’t have a lot when he was young. He wasn’t the kid with the hottest new game system. He wasn’t the kid that got to go on family vacations or anything like that. His family was just managing to keep their head above the water, but they had each other, and that was enough for him.
His pops ran the local barber shop, Calvin's Chop Shop, was the name of the place. Although his dad was real strict, he was funny, hardworking, and kind. He bought Walé his first basketball and told him all kinds of stories about differing sports heroes. A lot of who Wallace is today was built up by that man. He was everything one could want in a father, even if he wasn’t perfect. At least, that was how Walé saw him. As it turned out, his eating habits weren’t the greatest and it was a major contributor when his father passed away due to heart problems.
It tore their family of three asunder as Walé and his mother had to move on without him. From his youth onward, it was clear that he was much closer to his father than his mother, but they kept one another up when times were bleak. So, for a while it was just them with his mother having to light the candle on both ends to make ends meet.
That is, until she met a man named Marcus, whom his mother eventually fell in love with to try filling the void. Wallace felt betrayed but did his best to simply keep those emotions inside for the sake of his mom’s happiness. Though, the man sometimes secretly abused his mom. When asked about it, he found himself met with his mother’s desperate protests to leave it be; that it’d get better with time. Although he didn’t want to believe it, Walé relented.

@Platinum Cobra For the most part I like them, got to say I'm not too sure about the names though, aren't they taken from Critical Role? (Vex'ahlia and Percival de Rolo.) More subtle references to stuff are fine, but those names sound a bit D&D like for ordinary modern day human characters. Also, please could you flesh out Vexalia's personality a bit more?
