@Eviledd1984 Hello, you have some wonderful character ideas. :) By far, #2 feels most at home in Wildbow's Worm universe. But, the others could be adapted to fit.

From what we've seen in the web serial, Worm is a world of science rather than magic, angels, or demons. People may believe that their powers come from heaven or hell or faeries or what-not, but they are usually seen as delusional.

The real source of power

Massive multidimential beings called Entities, which normally travel in pairs. They are like jellyfish: made up of millions of smaller living parts called Shards, which may have many different kinds of functions: movement, communication, offense, defense. These beings shed shards into inhabited worlds to test their shards and discover new uses for them. The beings feed off conflict, and their shards steer hosts toward conflict. The entities life cycle usually results in complete destruction of its host planet.
A person who has been given a shard may wield its power after a trigger event. Trigger events are usually very traumatic. The type of trauma can influence the kind of power a person gets. Also, certain shards require certain types of trauma to trigger.

#1 could have a shard that combats aging or causes regeneration. They could also have a power that allows them to alter the characteristics of weapons (fire sword, ice sword, etc). Perhaps they have a delusion that they are immortal or one of Arthur's knights. But instead of fighting demons, he targets Endbringers and Case 53s (mutated people).
#2 would fit right in.
#3 could be Shaker/Changer/Thinker who alters their surroundings and appearance based on fears to scare people.

The world of Worm can be a bit limiting, but that's art of the fun. I'm sure you'll figure something out. And we're here to help. :) Plus, there's plenty of wiki sources.

Okay if it is okay with you, i can play both character 1 and 2. I was thinking of Character 1 being more of a rogue who is a art dealer by day and killing Endbringer's and Case 52's by night. He could be hounded by the police for killing the Case 52 mutants. And i was thinking of Character 2 being a villain who steals various jewels, paintings and other expensive things.

Poll time: Should the roleplay be cancelled? I probably jumped the gun. I've enjoyed the posts we've had so far but there's not as much activity as I was hoping for. We would probably better off searching for another superhero roleplay and join our numbers to it... Could migrate together. Dont worry, my feelings wont be hurt!

@LostButterfly92 Worm was always a niche thing to begin with, especially given the lower number of people on the Guild. You're probably better off making an original superhero setting and going from there. My issue was that I didn't really know where to go with Nakala, and while I did have a post written up where she goes into the cafe it felt forced.

Sorry, I've been caught up trying to finish writing something else for the past week (writing, deleting, re-writing, writing again) and I never sat down to finish my character sheet.

Activity has been kind of low, maybe because there isn't much direction for people to work with? Nowhere to put their characters? I was going to try and spark something off by having my character approach Wallflower in costume, but as I said I never got around to finishing his sheet.

Five people should be enough to keep this RP running, if everyone is still up for it.

To be honest, I was hoping to join an existing Worm rp. Thought I'd make one of my own, turns out it's harder than I remember. I only just got back into roleplaying after a three year break Sometimes I regret my impulsive decisions, heh.

We can keep trying, though, Just a little frustrated because I'm not sure where to go with so few characters, especially since they're not all the same alignment.

Or I'd be happy joining something like the rp Ghost Note just made, but I'm not familiar with Discord.

@LostButterfly92 That's the issue with making things freeform I think; unless people really know where they are going with their characters then without structure things tend to fall apart.

We can try and come up with story hook that gets everyone involved?

@Eviledd1984 The only active Worm roleplay Im aware of is Weaverdice. But I dont enjoy tabletop style.

I was saying I would be interested in a superhero/superpower roleplay that had a similar vibe to worm. Real feeling. Maybe something like Academy 003,

I can make a villain; no reason why we can't have more than one character and I don't particularly mind taking the reigns of that side of things. If no one minds that is.
