I know that typically, when a Beastmaster does something, whichever one of the pair has the higher stat is usually the one that does that as their action, and the other would just use the Help action to give them advantage.

Unless they both HAVE to do a thing for it to be effective, like Hiding.

In any case, here's my roll, a 21. Ferrin being noticeably alert all of a sudden I guess xD

So her highest roll was a 15, so plus her Perception modifier that would be a 20.

I rolled just to see if I could also get a nat 20, which means we would be tied, but no.
