People too often fall into this line of thought where they feel they need to focus on pure development. It'll bore you. There just isn't much you can do with "And then we invested and we also built tanks."

Come up with an interesting story and find a way to tie it into the larger story. That is how you become important.

Yeah I know. I actually hate that, it just that with the last nation I tried to play as, Japan, its canon was...I don't even know. So much nonsense with having to explain why the emperor made tons of decisions that make no sense. Then with South Africa I was annoyed by how nonsense my own decisions were. Poland seems like a pretty clean slate though, and actually makes some sense. Plus with some new people joining in, I figure now's the best time to try and make an effort.

I honestly understand you thinking I'm going to just sign up, make a post or two, and leave. I mean, I'd assume the same thing.

Well given how Poland is going to be a major part in someone's own writing you won't just be a minor inconvenience, but you'll be a pretty major one when you get caught up in future events and stop posting or drop to Prospo levels of posting.

There's plenty of other clean slates apart from Polandia.

I have the same concerns as Aaron. Your track record has been kinda shit, to be honest. I don't even remember a single thing you've done as any country, because you've never stuck around long enough to do much. I'd be more comfortable with you going with something like Belarus. It's similar to Poland, at least in that it's Slavic and on the border with Russia. But it's not important enough (at the moment) that I'd worry for it too much.

But that's not to say you couldn't make something good out of it. It has potential, especially with the cluster-fuck that is Russia sitting next to it. As Belarus, you'd be neighbors with hands down the biggest pot of potential-gold in the PoW world.

Just mention a few you wouldn't mind playing and I'll state how I feel about it. I'm not really sure what you're looking for so I don't know. But there's plenty of free nations without much established canon.

I added an art rotator to the OP as Vilage suggested. It should flip through assorted PoW-related artworks every time the page is visited or refreshed.

I'll also be collecting art pieces to throw into it.
