It was suppose to be a year of prosperity in the realm of Auirlus where peace was to be at it's highest point. The races that once interacted among each other are now separated by war and a new rising threat, the threat of darkness. It is unknown what has caused it to infect the land and how to necessarily stop it, but one thing is for sure it could ensure the destruction of every clan or kingdom if nothing was done.

This curse... It has destroyed towns and flattened villages ever since it's birth. The primary focus of it's vile stretch though is the lands of the human people. There, the king has been infected by this disease, and unknown, dark monsters strike the walls every week. It was then, despite their disagreements or their racial profile, individuals of many titles now band together to save the humans and their king. Little do they know, there is something bigger, more treacherous being planned with the use of this new curse.

What is known

There is a bond between a series of individuals known as the circle. Those within have taken a vow to stand tall against evil and darkness, even when others have fled.

With chaos out and about, banditry is at an all time high. You would be surprised if you spotted an unarmed trader during these times.

There are few who have created cults and have made it their responsibility to spread this sickening curse. They are easily identified by the dark cloaks they wear and the skulls they use as masks. What skull they use varies, but when you are trapped and captured by this threat... The ritual will commence... And your past self will fall to the darkness.

Those who are infected/cursed are stuck in an internal war with the dark itself. Two things can happen: either you give into it's influence, or you die after weeks or even months of agony. Option one can be forced onto victims by the use of a ritual ((which cults and followers of the darkness try to use)) Once you have given into the influence you become stronger and more powerful, but your mind also becomes corrupted, your internal self becoming bound in chains while this new influence takes over and causes destruction. Nothing good can come from this evil thing, which is why it is the target and antagonist of this story.

The infected ones have a Dark Pattern That branches out from the source of where the curse was administrated. It weakens them when it takes over a significant part of one's body. It is when it consumes your whole body, where the dilemma be set: Suffer till death or submit to the demon inside.

A cure has not been found, only a prophecy which will be these group of heroes chase down in search for that cure.

1. No arguing, flaming, or any of that hate on this OOC. If there is an issue confront your local GM and or CoGM to resolve it!
2. No God modding, and no gary/mary sues gibberish whatever. Your character has skills! But they are NOT the all knowing being sent to this earth.. That's where teamwork might come into play!
3. The posts will be limited in most situations. No 1x1s please.
4. There can and might be a fear factor in place for this RP. You are dealing with the dark, after all...
5. I as the GM shall claim the GM Spot and say I have the ability to alter/change/you know.. Enforce ze rules!

Occupation: Used to be merely a traveler, now he is one of the primary researchers in the search to find a cure to this plague.
History: Ansen is a strange little creature who lived his child hood in an enchanted forest like many others before him. He was always up to no good, terrorizing and playing with those who wandered into his turf while plotting mischief against his fellow kitsunes. When news of the darkness arrived, the little one set off to travel and explore the darkness. Now, he has returned, with a possible solution to this nightmare... This time, though, he turns to the humans so to keep his people out of the fray.
Equipment and weapons: Stave, Backpack, Books!, Apples, Canteen of water, Rope, Green Cloak, A pan, Flint and tinder, and last but not least: a alchemy set wrapped in cloth so to keep the vials from shattering
Other: He wears an emblem around his neck that has a paw print on a piece of wood, It is suggested for all within to the circle to have an emblem as well, but it is not mandatory

Occupation: He used to lead as a general, but stepped down in order to join the circle.
History: A man or... Beastman with leadership, Ansen has become an influence to his people. He has done his best to ensure their safety and has made his calls to administer their name into the realm. Many praised him, followed him, and fought under his name, but all of that was left behind when he joined the humans. Some criticized him for it and others praised him for such integrity, in the end though he was released to do as he wish after some violent sessions that debated whether to kill him for abandoning his post or let him go. It is easily known though that some people don't want him to return so to keep their newly found nobility and rank. Few will even try to make sure he dies before his journey is over.

Now without his high title, all Ansen can do now is help the humans with training and strategies, that was before he became apart of the circle. He currently waits for the others along with the kitsune, wiping down his sword as they prepared for the journey ahead... Unbenknownst to the veterans and newcomers, something had occured to Ansen that could greately endanger him during this adventure.

Equipment: Sword, Tabard, Bandage wraps (Used for his hands and ankles) Bow and Arrow, a hat!, Three Throwing Knives, Satchel (Containing more knives, papers, bandages, string for his bow, and herbs), Canteen, Sharpening stone [In Satchel], Quiver held to his back by a strap which he tucks his bow under for travel

Appearance: His quiver and bow are at his back ready for use, and his sword is by his side which is concealed under the cloak until the cloak is taken off or the weapon is drawn. Of course his clothes are not torn apart silly! ((Bandages are used as improvised fingerless gloves and footwear since the pawish structure is an issue for typical footwear)) Beneath his clothing are a series of scars which tell the tales of his life in war, his upper body is bandaged, it hides a stab wound as well as a dark glowing tattoe pattern... The same pattern that consumes the king. [[That blond hair has to go.]]

Hello to those reading this! Welcome! Welcome to the RP! This is a medieval fantasy RP where you can make your character, their race, and their story. All of these characters will be tied together as one group ((If you wish that is)) with a common enemy. Alliances will be forced and alliances will be broken... But tread carefully, you are depending on each other to return home successfully and free the realm of it's dark fate.

Name: Elaine Drevreious (Though most think her last name is Blackwater)

Race: Half elf, half pixie

History: She used to live with her father, the elf, in a small settlement deep within the woods, Elaine had been sent to fetch some water from the lake near the outskirts of their home, when she did, a group of cultists had been nearby, and when they had seen her, and in addendum the settlement, they had found their target. The small village had few people, and the cultist had many, through brutality and overwhelming magic abilities, the cultists spread the darkness through the town. Elaine had been run away with some other children to a cave nearby, the high priestess of the village had been charged with defending the young ones if they were found. When it happened she did her best to combat the darkness and it's followers but all she could do was hold them off, as she died the children had scrambled deeper into the cave. Unknown to any current member of the village, the cave had been used long ago, as a holding place place for some magical items, powerful, magical items. This was the real reason the cultists had stricken such a small target. Through desperation, and perhaps divine intervention, Elaine had found a charm, a charm which blessed her with holy power for a short time, using it she struck back against the darkness, pushing a way for her and any other surviving children out of the cave. After that, all they did was run, run until they were found near a human town, with bloody feat, empty stomachs, and tears sticking dirt to their cheeks. Three children had made it, some died along the way, some didn't make it out of the cave, and most didn't make it into the cave. All that was left of their people were those three survivors. And one of those survivors, was not going to run away anymore. They were taken in by a human orphanage and Elaine soon after left to find a way to combat the darkness. Their town was searched for afterwords, and it was found. Razed, the cave swiped clean, all of it's magic weaponry and equipment taken. No bodies were found.

Equipment And Weapons: She has been trained in recent years to use a dagger, one scavenged later from the wreckage of her home, it seemed to belong to her father. A simple brown cloak, a satchel, a small bag of dried fruit, a canteen of water, a length of rope, another memento from her family, a small glass whistle. And most importantly she keeps the pendant she found in the cave. Most of this was given to her by others, as she had nothing.

Appearance: Elaine is a short and thin little creature, she has no wings as some half pixies do, but she does have the long ears from her elven side. She has straw blond hair in a unkempt sort of mess, it doesn't seem to know which direction to be and sort of all goes where it can. She has large hazel eyes that seem far too good at catching the shine of the sun. She is pale and doesn't seem to change that no matter how much time she has spent in the sun. She wears a simple set of leather clothes, it has nearly no design or sense of frivolity, though in contrast she was given a small collection of bracelets by her past human caretaker. *She was given a dress too but that stays hidden away in her bag* Elaine has a small round nose and her mouth tends to stay nothing more then a small line, he eyelashes are oddly long and she hasn't seemed to grow any since when she arrived at the human town two or three years ago.

Other things! Yay!: She was taken in by a human for a year before she left to help fight the darkness, this was likely because the person was interested in odd species and Elaine wasn't exactly the most common specimen in the area. They are the ones who had given the equipment and training to the girl, as well as the one who gave her the name of "Blackwater'.

Occupation (Optional): Ex-Prince of the demons, now the most hated demon among demonkind

History: Jason was rhe result of the demon king stealing a human woman (a princess among that) and rapeing her. He was born into the royalty of the demons, and saw his mother killed. This began the seeds of anger against his father. The demon king received a prophecy on Jason's 6th birthday, stating that the boy would be part of a group to tear his regime down and that the boy would build a fair ond in its place. The demon king, immdiatley improsioned his son and tortured him for years on end, creating the public appeal to the demons that Jason was a half breed, a traitor to his kind and secretly part angel (he isn't part angel) labelling the boy the heretic, making him the most hated demon alive. The demon king practiced his darkness rituals on the boy, until he was perfect at it so he could help the other dark ones (referring to anybody else who follows the darkness) spread the disease. The demon king would remove the curse from Jason each time, not wanting to kill his test dummy. But all that has changed. Jason broke loose one day and killed his way out of the demon realm, and towards the realm of anything else. Though upon meeting the humans, he was taken prisoner by them with the help of the angels due to his demon heritage. He now stands trial to see what his fate shall be. (So if anybody wants to be on either side of that trial, defending or prosecuting Jason, you would be awesome)

Equipment And Weapons: Jason carries a single sword, that is jet black stygnian iron (can kill demons and humans. Also works like holy things do against angels). The sword is called damnation.

Race: Human-ish almost metaphysical magic entity thing...

Occupation (Optional): An up and coming member of a special force in the human armies

History: Coming from a decently wealthy family he was trained in the art of dueling, he fought and learned from the best tutors he could find, and easily placed himself in the elite force under the king. Not only that but he was the youngest member. By using his fathers name and his own prodigal abilities he traveled often, gaining experience and fortune. On one particular mission to eliminate a section of darkness, he was met with a powerful entity, an entity not related to the war and seemingly, to Auirlus. He was blessed, or cursed, with a small shaving of the entity's power, William was changed, turned into a partly magical being. He now uses the odd abilities given to fight the darkness specifically, as he was recently discharged from the kings special forces due to...unsavory circumstances. A traitor among the ranks and the unfortunate death of an innocent party led to William looking for purpose, the now doubly discharged William, from his service, and from his family found the circle, and the rest as they say, is history.

Equipment And Weapons: Has two sabers, one strapped to each side. Has two underhanded crossbows. An expensive purple cloak, gauntlets from the royal service. A large leather bag, flint and tinder, rope, canteen of water, many many arrows, chunks of an odd luminescent crystal, some magical scrolls, blanket, an emblem from the circle. Another emblem of his family.

Appearance: From the waist down his is a normal human, but waist up he a wispy form of a man, he seems to be made of a purple almost gaseous substance, where his face should be a mask floats among the form. It seems to shift and change due to whatever emotion William seems to have.

Other things! Yay!: The mask is apart of him, not something he just wears. Adept with an odd kind of magic

Born into the long standing warrior traditions of the Praetorians, Anderson trained under the best mankind had to offer, and he grew proud of his empire. Anderson has participated in several border wars against the enemies of man. Many an elf, orc, and demon had been felled by his blade, and he had been in the apothecary so many times he had lost count. Because of these conflicts he had participated in, he has also grown distrustful of most races, believing that they simply want mankind's great empire to perish so that they could loot what was left of the remnants of the human race. However, mankind's most recent enemy, the darkness, has forced him to ally with those he has distrusted the most. Despite wanting to kill everything that isn't human, he has held his resentments to himself, knowing that the ongoing war with the darkness is not a war the humans can win alone.

Will stands at 5'5 with a very slight build but he is stronger than he looks from training with the bow. He may be slender but his shoulder and arms muscles have built up from training. He has short, wavy brown hair with piercing blue eyes. He is pale but not washed out and he has a very slight point to his ears that reveal his elf blood.

Orphaned when he was young, Will was raised in a small village. When he turned 15, he was apprenticed to a Ranger passing through who said Will had what it took. He was trained in the Ranger ways, which he excelled in. When the darkness came, his mentor tried to stop it but his age was failing him and he succumbed to the dark. Will then took an oath to avenge his mentor and father figure.
