Alexa stood by to see if she could learn anything from the battle. She held Kawaii in her arms tightly.

"Ooh a battle already?" Jason said, putting down Brobasaur. "Let's see what we got here."
"Bulba!" Brobasaur said.
"Hey, you gotta any tricks that I should know about?" Jason said looking down at Brobasaur.
"Bulba!"
"Sounds good."

"Zeni, use Scald!" Chuck said. The Squirtle fired off boiling hot water that had the potential to burn Hydro.

"Withdrawl!" Liam called. Hydro retreated into his shell in hopes of reducing this chance of being burned.

[Azure Flame]

"Now Zeni, use Ice Punch!" Chuck said, as the Squirtle ran at the other one, as his fist grew icy.

"Water Gun straight down!" Liam called. Hydro aimed the jet of water downward to avoid the attack by being propelled upward.

Alexa watched the two Squirtles battle. "They have good trainers. I'm sorry I can't give you what you want, the ability to battle. I just want to have fun! I love cute things!" she whispered to Kawaii.

[Azure Flame]

"Nice one!" he said. "Zeni, Ice Beam into the Water Gun!" Zeni fired a beam of ice that, once it hit the water, raced up to freeze the origin of the water.

Hydro became frozen and was hanging up there. Liam commented that it was a nice move. Hydro remained frozen.

[Azure Flame]

"Thanks." he said. With his opponent frozen, Zeni then used Zen Headbutt.

"Wow, these Squirtles know some pretty advanced moves. Did professor oak teach load 'em up with TMs or something?" Jason asked Brobasaur.
"Bulba!"
"What do you got under your hood?" Jason said, standing up, giving his full attention to Brobasaur.
"Bulba bulba!" Brobasuar ran towards the exit of Pallet town and to Route one.
"Well, looks like I got a fighter on my hands." Jason casually went after Brobasaur, who was already fighting a Rattata.

Hydro took the hit and was freed from the ice. Hydro went for a tackle.

It was Zeni's turn to Withdraw now.

"Bubble!" Liam called. a jet of bubbles emerged from Hydro's mouth and floated toward Zeni

Zeni used Water Gun to launch itself at the other Squirtle.

Hydro got smacked and fell over KO'd. Liam recalled Hydro and Oak offered to heal both real quick.

"That was a great battle." Chuck said, recalling Zeni and handing the ball to Oak for healing.

"Sure was." Liam stated. Oak returned momentarily with the pokeballs. He noted that he was still expecting some new trainers.
