Melanie sat at her desk in her spinny-chair sipping a cup of coffee, waiting for someone to call the police/ambulance dispatch. The phone rang, "Fire, Ambulance, or Police?" she answered, the man was sobbing, he said "Ambulance... 2424 Indigo St. Please hurry." Melanie dispatched an ambulance to that area "Stay calm sir, an ambulance is on their way."
she took a deep breath and started spinning around, waiting for more calls, calls weren't exactly a good thing... She continued to ramble on in her thoughts.

"No thanks, I'm quite alright with tea, thank you." Aiko quickly responded to the offer of creamer once she heard the lady sigh. "I guess i'm like an orphan, I really just move on from town to town exploring the world as I go along...... And, I'm sorry, I wasn't gonna say anything but If I may ask, what are you working on? It looks sorta interesting. I can help if you like. I don't have any plans or anything." Aiko was shooting for a 'yes' as a response, though would be quite alright with a 'no.' It was about that time that the same waiter that asked Delilah for her order, came again to take Aiko's. Aiko quickly shifted attention to the waiter and before a word could come from his mouth, she quickly replied "I'll take a raspberry tea, thank you. Oh, and a chocolate chip cookie, if you have those." Astonished by the girl's straight forwardness, the waiter just nodded and left, taking the order. Aiko's attention flipped back to the coffee she still had in her hand and realized that is was about time she gave it back. There was one thing she did miss about the coffee, though, as it left her hands; it was warm and comforting. She placed the mug on the table in front of Delilah in the first clear spot she could manage to find. Free of all thought after dealing with the waiter, Aiko started to study Delilah. She was beautiful and pale, and she had a nice smile to her. But there was one thing about here that seemed different, though she couldn't tell what.

Grant had been eating his doughnuts, reading and thinking. He sat in his chair quietly, thinking about the book he was reading. 'I'm not liking it so far...' He thought. Flipping another page, he took his doughnut and accidentally knocked over his book. It proceeded to fall to the ground, making a 'smack' sound. He sighed, looking at it. He just sat there, staring. He honestly didn't like the book, so what was the point? He sat there for a few seconds, before taking a bite out of his doughnut.

Kate put her flute down and ate silently. After she finished eating Kate washed her dishes and put them back then grabbed her bag. "Bye, I have to head off now." Kate said simply before adjusting her hat and heading out the door, her bag on her back. Kate began walking towards the hospital which was a long walk but she didn't want to drive or take a bus. She enjoyed walked and thats why she always left an hour before she had to be at the hospital for her volunteer work that has really turned into an internship and training. The doctors and nurses trust her and since she has been studying to be a doctor they sometimes have her take blood pressure or just help out with anything they need. Kate walked silently as she took in her surroundings, while also mentally doing a checklist in her head remembering if she had remembered to pack her scrubs into the bag which she luckily had. By then she was walking through the main part of town.

[Epiphany]

"A traveling orphan? Interesting." She nodded slightly before explaining her story, "Well I tried making a fantasy novel, I used a theory on mermaids and incorporated it in. Female sailors were thought of as bad luck, so their crewmates would tie the female sailors by the legs and dump them into the ocean, and the female sailors would slowly turn into mermaids because Poseidon would give them a second chance and let them get revenge. What do you think?" Delilah rested her chin on her hands and watched as Aiko ordered. "Do you have money?"

There was a small feeling of someone eavesdropping, but Delilah ignored it and resumed finishing her breakfast. "Anywho, I just don't have characters or a real plot..."

Melanie whistled and continued to spin around unprofessionally in her chair, waiting for interaction from another human. Not many calls were made to her from the town, she smiled at this good fact and started thinking about Flint. The sarcastic man from the UK. He really was one of the best on the force, an undercover cop.
Melanie went on to spin around and think about her job and the people on it.

"Oh, yeah. I have some money." Aiko said with a smile. "I always keep a few dollars on me, but not much since I'm always on the move."

"Here's your tea, miss." Said the waiter he as came back. "It's on the house, and please enjoy your stay." The waiter placed a small saucer with a freshly baked cookie on it and a nice cool glass of raspberry tea on the side.

"Oh, thank you." Aiko smiled back as the waiter went upon his way. "Well that was fast. If I can help you with your story, I'd be glad to. Though I'm not very skilled at writing or anything like that." Aiko began nibbling on her cookie. It was warm, gooey, and soft. Perfect for a sweet little girl like her. Her smile remained constant as she started to gaze around the shop that was quickly filling with people.

Flint soon stood up, looking to his watch as he went to go pay. After he placed the money he quickly left the café. Moving to across the street to wait for the dealers to come around.
He took out his mobile and thought about calling for back up. He stopped when he realised that he was going against the chiefs orders in arresting them now.. "I will call them when I have them in handcuffs" Flint decided wishing he had brought a coffee to go as he waited.

Melissa saw her sister walking out of the door. She sighed grabbing her stuff and walking out aswell as she would now walk to her job. Which was at the cafe. As she was walking she noticed alot of people today. Melissa walked to the back of the counter putting on her work jacket and grabbing her pad to take orders. Melissa walked towards tables now beginning to work.

[Epiphany]

Delilah took one of the papers and flipped it over onto its blank side, she pulled out a pen from her bag and began writing in big letters 'Characters'. "Would you like to be a character?" She asked as she began writing out protagonists for the story. She sets the pen down and waits for Aiko to reply to her question, in the mean time Delilah grabbed the handle of her mug and finished off the rest of her coffee as well as finishing her breakfast bagel.

"Sure! I'd love to." Aiko replied, her focus jumping back to Delilah. "What all do you need?" Aiko finished her cookie and started drinking her tea. It was delicious. Within seconds it was gone and the waiter appeared to take their dishes almost instantly. "Thank you." Aiko said to the waiter before he left. She was twiddling her thumbs now. Conversations usually bored her, but she liked talking to Delilah. This made her feel a bit uncomfortable, which probably was showing some-what, but she ignored that for now as she waited to be transformed into a fictional character.

Avery walked into cafe and searched for a place to sit. She nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard a loud thump, which was amplified by her acute hearing.

Avie turned and snarled, her natural instinct when she sensed danger, but her growl stopped when she saw a book on the floor. She looked up at Grant, but he didn't seem to notice. She bent down and picked it up for him, placing it on the table. "You dropped this..." Avery said befoore adding, "May I sit here? This place is packed, and I can't see anywhere else...?"

Grant stayed silent for a few moments. Who was she? She seemed strange. Odd. Grant, deep in his subconscious, sensed she wasn't...Normal. Not a proper human. "Um, sure..." He said, barely loud enough to be heard. He slid the book closer to himself, but kept it closed. "If you don't mind," He looked at her, "What's your name?" She had him intrigued.

Melanie was let off her shift with a brief scolding about spinning in that chair for no reason. Melanie stretched after sitting in that chair for a while. She picked up her purse and started walking outside of the Police Station, her stomach started rumbling so Melanie thought "I should probably go to the cafe or somewhere, get something to eat.." She started walking from the police station towards the cafe.

Nirvana bit her lip as she watched Flint leave the cafe and walk across the street. He had told her not to go there, but why, and why was he going there. Luckily it was her break, she she grabbed a coffee and walked outside, sitting on a bench and walking the ally to see what would happen.

Flint noticed a car pull up and soon after another parked beside it. Flint watched as a group went around the café and to the car park behind.
Flint took a deep breath then began to walk towards the car park. Hidden from view from the main public. Flint quietly listened in on the conversation.
"Two stacks of blow will be two thousand" One man said aloud as another man began to flick through some money. Flint waited for the best time to strike.
When the transfer had been successful Flint removed his revolver from his jacket and quickly turned the corner, walking over to the men.
"Freeze Police!" Flint yelled removing his badge and showing the group. They where teenagers, the oldest was probably 18. They looked scared.
Flint slowly got closer, his gun aimed at one of the dealers.
As Flint went for his handcuffs the youngest of the boys pulled a gun from his waistband.
Flint didn't have time to react before a round hit his shoulder. A few more hunks of lead fired towards Flint but hit around him. The police officer had now began firing back as the gang began to run away. They turned the corner and quickly got in there car speeding away.
Flint attempted to stand but fell onto his knee, the pain from his shoulder was excruciating and he was losing a lot of blood.
Flint dropped his handgun and moved his hand to his shoulder putting pressure on the wound. He went into his pocket to grab his phone, the note from Nirvana fell out onto the floor and soon followed by the phone.
"Bloody low lives" He said through gritted teeth as he collapsed.
The last thing he saw where the words. 'Be careful' written on the note.

Melissa noticed alot of people going to the cafe. She decided to take a break. As she sat down in a table alone scanning the area. She grabbed a cup of tea and sipped it sighing. "Where the hell is my sister at?" She thought to herself looking at the others hopefully her manager wont say nothing to her while she is on her break. She didnt feel like working.
