Booker sighed lightly as he rolled around in his swivel chair, trying to find ways to occupy his time until the main man came and delivered his copy of the SBURB beta. He had been luck enough to get one, and from what he had heard about other people who got the disk, there were apparently two disks instead of one. Other than that, that hadn't heard much about the game, and he knew well that GameBro wouldn't help him at all with finding anything out. That magazine was trash and he made sure that all of his friends knew it. He had purchased one before, but immediately threw it out as soon as he got done reading the first three sentences of the first page.

Wearing his standard like red shirt and a pair of black shorts, he continued to roll around. He wasn't sure if his friends were online or not, but in the case that they were on and were waiting for him to do something, he rolled over to his well ornamented desk and opened up the client, clicking on the setting 'palsy' as soon as it came into view. he was doing alright for the time being, but the day was just too bland and normal for him. He needed for the damned mailman to come over so he could play the game that he had been waiting to play for quiet a while.

'Devon breath forcefully from his nose, ducking into his opponent's guard and releasing an explosive punch at it's midsection. The evil foe was taken aback by the strong jab, but, after swinging backwards, it blasted forward for it's own hit, only to be redirected by the black-haired boy's bandaged forearm. Devon twirled with the block, bringing his toned leg up to release a sharp snapkick at the enemy, launching it from it's rope and sending it flying across the battlefield...'

"Woosh." Devon panted, reaching out a hand and grasping the cold bottle of water that sat on his computer desk. On the far wall, a stack of large, heavy white punching bags rested messily on top of each other, dripping a small amount of sand on the oddly clean floor. His entire room was tidy and clean - a testament to his apparently rich lifestyle. The walls were painted a dark, fiery red, and the ceiling was a sky blue, the floors a marble white. His king-sized bed, which filled up an entire corner spot, was tidy and clean, while his computer desk, leather lounge chair, and newly created Gaming Laptop sat near the bed. In the middle of his ceiling, multiple punching bags hung from sharp metal chains.

The boy release another pant, downing the entire bottle of water in one go. A careless toss threw it over his shoulder, and out the window of his apartment, where it landed in the dumpster most-likely. Training was going very, very well - he had a championship MMA match upcoming in the future week or so, and it would decide one of his many scholarships for a college of his choosing. Pretty important and cool, if he had to be honest. "Oh, yeah, and that SBURB thing..." Being on such a strict schedule, Devon didn't have much time for games or socializing online, but he somehow found time for his internet friends. They were pretty interesting and awesome, despite being on different parts of the world.

He wore nothing more than boxing tape around his hands and forearms, along with loose white shorts with red flames and swirling black vortex patterns. He didn't wear a shirt, considering it would have probably heated him out - have to let the abs and pecs breathe, after all. Devon collapsed into his lounge chair, boredly rolling around and quickly typing into the code for his laptop. Click, click, click...he signed into his account - deviantKing - and quickly went through his list, keeping his mood as 'Smooth'.

[DK]: Yoyoyo.
[DK]: I have SBURB...pretty cool I guess. Do you have yours yet?

Devon leaped off of his chair, landing on his finger-tips, where he began doing one-handed pushups whilst waiting for a reply, crimson eyes narrowed in determination. His lean, muscular body began pumping out the repetitions. He couldn't stop the sweat until his quota was finished for the day. His copy of SBURB lied somewhere on his desk...

"No, Mom, I do not wanna test that out!"

Mina had returned from feeding the cattle, part of her several daily rituals on the ranch her family owned. Of course, her mom had other issues, mostly being fitting Mina in a pink-studded cowgirl getup. Barely avoiding "Strifing" with her mom, she made her way up the stairs and into her room, locking the door behind her. Peace and quiet at last.

Mina's room was filled with a strange sort of knick-knacks, mostly being country music memorabillia. A Blake Shelton poster, as much as she would deny it to anyone who asked, hung over her bed. Scooting over to her bed and sitting on it with her legs crossed, she stretched over to the desk by her bed to grab her laptop, almost falling off of her bed in the process. Raising it up, she logged onto Pesterchum quickly read through the list of her Chums online. Unfortunately, she only had three Chums added and two of those three were online, mostly because of her quieter tendencies in both real life and on the internet.

Switching her mood to Rancorous, she slipped her earbuds on, turned on the loudest and most angsty music she could fine (for country music anyway) and groaned. The installation for SBURB still wasn't finished on her computer yet.

[!!!]

The alert noise went off on his computer as he received a message, no doubt from one of his friends who wanted to rub their copy of the game in his face. He didn't actually know if they had their copies yet or not, but he was pretty sure that he was one of the last ones to not have it yet. Looking at his screen, he clicked on the bottom and opened up the chat window.

[DK]: Yoyoyo.

[SO]: Nope. Not yet.
[SO]: Stupid mailman hasn't arrived yet, dude's always on his own schedule.
[SO]: I guess that's cool and all to not have a set schedule, but the point still stands.

Booker sighed once more as he rolled away from his desk, He couldn't really complain all that much. The Mailman was a cool guy off duty, always doing his own thing and what not, but this was just ridiculous. He really shouldn't be complaining, it was still before noon, but the guy that usually delivered the mail usually did it in the morning just to get it out of the way. He wanted to do something, to pass his time, so he decided to look at who else was online at the moment. One od his other friends was currently off line, and the other one seemed to be in a bad mood judging by what mood was set to her profile at the time. Well, time to poke the bear.

80% compleated installing! Oh how lily wished her computer wasn't a old hunk of junk. She was hoping that such a new and unique game such as Sburb would even be able to run on her old machine. She could always spend some of her money on a new PC rather than more crafting supplies and comic books but the chances of that seemed unlikely till old rusty here actually broke down. She sighed as she watch the loading screen tick away attempting to rend the game onto her hard drive as quickly as the poor old machine could. Most kids her age could perhaps go for a walk or enjoy weather outside, but lord knows that was not her luck. She looked to the window where a dozy of a snow storm was blowing about. She was simply praying her power wouldn't get knocked out and her fun with friends wouldn't be cut short. She Did have enough time for starting to finishing any of her current crafting projects either. She was stuck in the proverbial entertainment limbo, little to do but s it and wait and pray that your Cuz wasn't out snow boarding in this weather. Though there was likely a 50 percent chance she was, and an ever great chance she was fine. Much like an extreme surfer sometimes dares the dangers of an oncoming hurricane to catch a massive wave, so was her Cousin and snow storms sometimes. 'The freshest powder is the one that hasn't even touched the ground yet!'

She were unsure if that was her Cuz being metaphorical or if she actually had some crazy ass snow board that made it so she could board on snow that was still in the air. She honestly wouldn't but either past her Cuz. So the lily sat and waited. Should length, curly red hair waving slightly in the gentle gusts of warm air from her heater and blue eyes trained on the painfully slow progress of her loading. She let out a great sigh and through her hands in the air, she didn't even have a nice fresh trade copy of She-Hulk or Super Man to page through to pass the time. She stood up and straighten her dress out before rummaging through the many loose papers and half finished projects in here room. Her phone was here somewhere, if she was going to sit here and do nothing least she could do was chat with a friend or two. She wasn't going to risk slowing her CPU's load up by running a pester client on it, so her phone, where ever it was in her mess of crafts and comics of a room, was her only lifeline at the moment.

"AH!" she exclaimed moving a pile of origami birds aside and lifting up her phone in a triumphant fashion. She hopped onto her bed, causing a few paper mache turtles and a couple of tray issues of Wonder Woman fall to the ground.

-continuesCrafter has logged on Mobile-

"And now we wait...see if any friends want to chat." she said to herself, though well aware that she was just as likely to instigate a conversation if none of them bit the bait.

[!!! I HEAR VOICES IN MY HEAD, THEY TALK TO M-!!!]

Devon sighed, flipping onto his feet and jogging over to his bathroom. The boy quickly turned on the tap, grabbing a large, fluffy white towel off of the stand, before throwing it in the sink - right into the large puddle of fresh spring water that was already beginning to pool up. He had reached his quota for the day - no more exercising until his muscles rebuilt themselves...at least, that's what his butler told him time and time again once he came upon the teenager punching the stuffings out of a man-sized teddy bear, whilst in a cast.

"Man that feels good." He gurgled, face-deep into the sink filled with cold water. Devon threw his head back, feathery black hair, now wet, slapping water against the marble walls. He grabbed the cold, wet, fluffy white towel from the sink, casually throwing it over his shoulder as he exited his bathroom and went back to his computer desk. Navigating through his Hellion-brand laptop settings, Devon quickly opened PesterChum again, clicking on the chat that was basically blaring extremely loud rock music. He really needed to change his notification sounds...

[SO]: Nope. Not yet.
[SO]: Stupid mailman hasn't arrived yet, dude's always on his own schedule.
[SO]: I guess that's cool and all to not have a set schedule, but the point still stands.
[DK]: gotcha.

Devon sighed, collapsing into his chair and placing his wrapped foot on top of his desk. Now that his daily training/workout was finished, the teen really didn't have anything to do other than head to the closest gym and spar...but that would be going against protocol. Maybe mall shopping? Flirt with some chicks? He was pretty handsome, in his extremely humble opinion, with his silky black hair and cool crimson eyes....but...nah. Too boring. 15 year old girls were generally either emo or too preppy...or, worst of all, the ones who talked about how random they were. Bruuuh.

[!!! YOU'VE GOT THE TOUCH.....YOU'VE GOT THE POWAAAAH !!!]

Okay, that specific notification wasn't that bad sounding. Leaning forward, Devon began tapping on his keyboard, bringing up his PesterChum once more and checking on who got online. "continuousCrafter..." He murmured, clicking on the account. She was a nice friend, he guessed. A bit too nice for his mellow, fiery badassery, but not too bad. A pretty cool chick.

[DK]: hey, CC
[DK]: guess what
[DK]: poppa got the hook-up, check it. SBURB is currently...

Devon smirked, flicking in the disk, and grinning when the bar began loading at an extremely fast speed.

[DK]: almost finished. how has your day been?

He couldn't help but put a bit of his standard cheekiness into the last sentence.

70%. Mina's copy was getting close to getting finished. Good on it. She needed a good escape for now. She turned her gaze to her Pesterchum icon and clicked it, seeing that Booker had sent her some messages.

--spasticOstrich [SO] began pestering glascowHacker at ??:??--

[SO]: So what goes on?
[SO]: your icon says your in a bad mood
[GH]: Is it illegal to kill your parents for repeatedly forcing you to do something you don't want to do?
[GH]: Rhetorially, ofc.

She loved her mom to death, but she really had no interest in fashion whatsoever. She wanted little to do with that on the least. But hey, that was how teenagers and parents got along anyway.

As she hummed a bar to "Red Solo Cup", she noticed that Lily had logged on mobile.

--glascowHacker [GH] began pestering continuousCrafter [CC] at ??:??--

[GH]: hey c2
[GH]: y'all outside of your house or are you on mobile for another reason?

She leaned back on her pillows and shut her eyes momentarily, letting the music take over her mind once again.

While he did find out that his third friend had logged on, he decided that it probably wouldn't be the best idea to juggle all three conversations at once, so he decided to leave her be while he pestered his other friends. Smiling to himself, he read Mina's posts and typed on the keyboard, loving the feeling of pressing down on each key and feeling it click.

[SO]: your icon says your in a bad mood
[GH]: Is it illegal to kill your parents for repeatedly forcing you to do something you don't want to do?
[GH]: Rhetorially, ofc.'

He had a fairly good idea of why she was mad, but decided not to say much about it and paused for a minute before continuing his typing.

[SO]: Contrary to popular belief, that sort of thing is usually frowned upon.

He smiled at himself as he used what he considered to be somewhat large words. He always liked to mix things up, and if it meant using stupidly simple or overly complecated words and phrases, then he would do it in a heard beat.

[SO]: Got your copy of SBURB yet??

oooooh, that DK, He was such a scamp sometimes. Honestly how could anyone be so frustrated and so pleased to speak with someone at the same time? Conversations were certainly never boring with this particular friend of hers. Perhaps a bit of playful back and forth with Devon Steel would make some of his good tech rub off on her POS cpu...or at least help past the time.

[CC]: Way to rub salt in my slowly loading wounds DK :P
[CC]: I swear if we ever manage to be in the same place I will bury you under your weight adorable paper mache animals
[CC]: Days been...largely uneventful.
[CC]: Started loading the game, tinkered on of crafts, pined for a new wonder woman trade. New 52 isn't doing her the justice she deserves :/
[CC]: Cuz doesn't appear to be home. likely out boarding in this not quite a billiard. That nut.
[CC]: What about yourself? Anything fun to report to alleviate this poor girls boredom

No sooner had she started talking with Devon than her buddy Mina shot her a message. It's good to have active friends online when you live up in the middle of bum fuck nowhere mountain. Lily's sited more possible big-foots up here in her frigid icy home than other kids her own age. Mina was the other girl in her small but tight circle of pals. Her deep south sister-from-anouther-mister, with her non-freezing temperatures and mild winters. Oh how Lily envied her weather; though not so much her sometimes rough relationship with her family.

[CC]: Yo GH! :D
[CC]: Naw, snowing too much to leave the premises of my mountain home
[CC]: Just didn't want to do anything to mess up the agonizingly slow process of this Sburb insulations.
[CC]:Not even my boundless enthusiasm for making things has managed to make this sail pulling a rock uphill this is my loading progress bearable.
[CC]:So I shall chat on my phone for now.
[CC]:But enough about me, How are you?
[CC]:Your mood says not so well.
[CC]:any chance mailing you a menagerie of colorful origami creatures would help bring a smile back to your face?
