James sighed and did a few hand gestures. He used a special Peaceful Sleep jutsu he created, which would make someone sleep with peaceful, good dreams. He used the jutsu on Bane.

Bane relaxed, the sweat on his face still there. "You know, our skills in the arts aren't the answer to everything" Megumi sat up, looking at James. "You don't like getting close to anyone do you?"

James looked at her. "I don't get close to anyone for a reason..." He sighed, as he remembered every time he had gotten close to someone.

Megumi nodded and said "I can understand...but it's that kind of thinking that can get you into a lot of trouble...trust me, nothing is worse then being alone..l"

"Sometimes...people do things so terrible...that it's better for that person to be alone..." James said, as a tear ran down his cheek.

Megumi was next to him in a moment, the shadows helping her speed. She took his hand and said "Nothing should turn a soul like yours away from the light...nothing. And take that from someone who has lived in the dark most of her life.." She smiled and said "Get some sleep. I'll take watch for a while"

James sighed. "If you knew some of the things I've done in the past, you would fear and despise me..." He looked at her. "I couldn't sleep even if I tried, so I'll just keep watch."

She frowned and said "No one is perfect...James, get some sleep, please. And you can't look at the past...you have to look to the future"

James sighed. "Even if I tried to sleep I can't...so I'll just keep watch...I've actually trained myself to rarely sleep anyways...so I'm fine."

Megumi sighed and said "Alright then I'll stay up with you..." She sat by him and rested her head on his shoulder, curling up. She didn't want him to be alone.

James sighed, and glanced at her, before just looking out the window while he sat there with her.

The next morning Megumi had fallen asleep an hour before Bane sat up and yawned, looking around. "Hey...you stay up all night James?"

James nodded. He had his arm around Megumi, to keep her from falling over,since she was still leaning on his shoulder. "I don't like to sleep."

He nodded and said "I noticed...how long she try to stay up with you?" He got up and rolled his shoulders, opening the windows to get fresh breathe in the room. "James..that thing she saw last night...think we need to worry about it?"

James sighed. "No. I don't. I doubt it's anything that can harm us for now...and she stayed up until about midnight, after she saw that I was still up." He picked her up and laid her in the bed, before standing. "We'll have to wait until she wakes up before we can leave, but once she's up we'll need to hurry."

Bane nodded and said "you could just wake her. I bet she didn't want to dose off in the first place. Besides, it's her home we are going to after all to save"

James nodded, then softly shook her to wake her up. Luckily it was still really early, but it would be good to leave this early, before anyone that decided to follow them could wake up.

Megumi stirred and opened her eyes. "Did I dose off?" Bane nodded and tossed James his bag. "Just a little...you guys ready to go?"

James caught the bag then got up, lightly grabbing her hand as he stood, and helped her stand. "I'm ready." He looked at Megumi. "Are you?"
