Okay then.

First of all, my bad for not clarifying where exactly everyone's character is in the real world. I hadn't really mentioned it since, dub naming aside, the real world's setting tends to be Japanese, as are the characters (mostly). Plus, I figured any possible IRL interactions could just be handwaved; I'm not focusing on realism here, after all.

Secondly, there's no 'fetishising' of anything going on here. Most of the characters are Japanese, hence, Japanese names.

And thirdly... why does the characters' genders matter? The anime has the cast as very predominantly male, too. Not to mention it has no bearing on the overall plot.

Now please, no more arguing over ethnicity or genders or anything like that. It's incredibly pointless and not at all a good thing to be complaining about.

Personality: Have you ever heard the story of the Lion and the Mouse? It's a tale with a heartwarming moral that teaches that mercy brings it's rewards and there is no being so small it cannot help a greater. Lazlo, or Nil as he likes to be known in the Digital World, is a boy that resonates with this teaching. He's an exceptionally empathetic young man that treats people kindly and with respect. In the story, a mouse accidentally wakes a fearsome lion from it's slumber. The lion is enraged and catches the mouse in it's paw. The poor mouse manages to convince the lion that there is no honor in killing him and thus the lion spares the mouse's life. Some time later the lion is caught in a hunter's net, his fate seemingly sealed. That is, until the very same mouse he saved heard his cries for help. The mouse came to the lion's aid and gnawed through the net, freeing the lion. If the lion had never allowed the mouse to keep it's life then he would have lost his. In this respect, Lazlo isn't such a bleeding heart. If you only do good deeds because you expect a reward in return does that still make you a good person? The fact of the matter is, though Lazlo seems kindhearted and sincere he is in fact motivated by selfishness. If he believes there is nothing to gain from you then you will see an entirely different side of him. More so than likeable, more so than generous and much more so than honest, Lazlo is a self-centered, egotistical individual whom only looks out for number one.

I'll have to ask why PlatinumSukamon becomes IceLeomon, since I can't really see any kind of correlation between the two species at all.

I think the line is really clever. Admittedly, it requires some thought though. I think that PSukamon and ILeomon are visually very similar, they're both white and have leather wraps around their arms. Their names, Platinum and Ice are both synonyms of one another in jewelry slang. There's a very popular story called the Lion and the Mouse where a Lion is awoken by a Mouse but decides to spare it's life. That story is referenced in this line, the mouse becomes the lion after going through poo. If you factor into account that the character's name is Nil, meaning zero it's as if the mouse goes from zero to hero.

If you don't like it, I guess I could go for something a little more generic...

I'd also like to point out that my CS isn't finished yet. I just posted it to see if the code was all working fine but then the site crashed for me and I couldn't get back.

... still don't think that line makes the slightest bit of sense. Ice would describe a diamond, and the story doesn't suggest that sort of link at all. Especially not a mouse becoming a lion via becoming a pile of crap beforehand. >_>

As you can see though, it's been accepted and most importantly, I like it! Even though you clearly don't, so much so you've decided to dedicate your precious time to telling me so.

If everyone is super opposed to me having this line then I'd be happy to change it so long as you're all polite about it. I don't really see what the fuss is about though. There are cannon lines that make much less sense and are much less aesthetically pleasing than mine.

True. Although I find this line asthetically pleasing, it's still random. You have:

Yukemibotamon, Nyaromon, Salmon, Gatomon, Angewomon, Magnadramon

A snowball, a cat, a dog, a cat again, an angel, a dragon

And people complain about Pokemon not looking like their evolutionary forms. xD

There wouldn't be an argument if you'd listen to valid criticism. You're going from a virus-type vermin to gilded crap... okay, that's apparently in one of the games somewhere, and vermin -> filth makes sense. You're then going 'piece of crap to ice-power vaccine lion' because... they have the same colour. And because of one story containing a lion and a mouse (the same can be said for mice and cats, mice and elephants, mice and dogs, mice and people, mice and birds...)
