[OOC] Star Wars - Rise of Crusade

The Galactic Republic has seen its fair share of wars at the hands of the ever elusive Sith. The greatest of which being the Great Hyperspace war that spanned across the galaxy over one thousand years ago. More recently they have suffered the betrayal of the Jedi Hero Revan and his apprentice Malak as they turned to the dark side, taking much of the fleet with them prolonging the devastation started by the Mandalorian wars. Due to the devastation caused by them in the past the Republic constructed a specialist task force specially for tracking down and dealing with the Sith. These individuals were often taken from units that had worked along side the Jedi and trained a long side so that they could better understand Force Users and as such their enemy so to speak and were tasked with hunting down Sith Enclaves and securing Sith Artifacts. The Jedi, themselves were kept in the dark about this Task Force.

However, eight years ago something went amiss.. An outer rim world went silent. No holonet transmissions, no outgoing traffic. Republic Envoys were sent to find the planet sacked and completely destroyed using tactics and weaponry that were completely unknown to the Republic. War droids, corpses and even a dark aura on the planet gave away that some how remains of the Sith Empire, whether it was Revans or an even older order, had somehow survived the hunt. Faced with this new threat Jedi were brought into the task force for the first time. Needing their expertise and skills in order to track down this elusive killer. However, the Sith Remnants may not be as scattered as the Republic thought. A new figure emerged from the Unknown Region eight years ago, gathering up what resources he could and wiping out those who wouldn’t follow him.

Republic Taskforce Esk-217

Founded shortly after the Great Hyperspace War that took place 5000 BBY, Taskforce ESK-217 (Shortened to E-217 on paperwork or informally referred to as just the Taskforce), the original, and current, standing order of the Taskforce was the tracking, containment, and dissolution of any and all remnants of the Sith Order and related forces, by any and all means at the discretion of the Taskforce Commander. Whom answers directly to the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. Despite this the liberty there are guidelines set out by previous Commanders and any rule set forth by the Chancellor must be followed without question unless there is evidence of Sith Corruption at play.

The Task Force itself is comprised of the best of the best in the Republic military, and even when chosen they go through strict tests and training to ensure that they are in the best possible state for fighting Force Users. Once this is done they are assigned into special units, however these units are not set in stone and can change at any time depending on the mission. It’s naval assets as such vary and in both cases the Task Force Commander has supreme right to divert any resources he sees necessary in order to complete his mission, unless otherwise informed by the Supreme Chancellor.

Any non military assets, such as Jedi, Mercenaries, Smugglers and Bounty Hunters go through intense screening processes by the Chancellors office.

All task force individuals, including Jedi, are equipped with thick body fitting sets of armour, painted white and orange with the emblem of the republic on its right arm and the symbol for the task force on its left. Wearing of this is not necessary for those outside of official military ranks. Next to that they carry automatic blasters, and carry slugthrower pistols so that the shots cannot be deflected by use of a lightsaber.

All members are also equipped with short vibroblades and are trained to use them efficiently.

The task force calls a small planet in the inner rim, newly discovered, home. It’s location top secret and known only to the pilots who fly the ships to it.

Sith

The remnants and enclaves of Dark Jedi and Sith throughout the galaxy eight years ago were pathetic groups, scratching for power. Using mercenaries and pirates in order to bolster their own forces. Being nothing more than nuisances to the Republic and Taskforce E-217, trapped rats so to speak. However over the past eight years strange things have been happening.

First, the attack on the outer rim colony and it’s utter obliteration, and signs of Sith troopers being used wearing a strange alteration of the Empires emblem. Then came the Sith Enclaves. The Taskforce kept finding Sith hideouts, empty. Devoid of life and information, though occasionally piled with dead bodies of the Sith who had called it home. Where all these Sith going was unclear to the Republic and the Task force…

Though in truth Darth Crusade. A Sith Lord who appeared mysteriously from the Unknown Regions had been gathering them up, using his knowledge and ability in the Force in order to convince others to follow him. Those who would not were laid to dust.

However as off yet he has yet to make another major move againt the Republic, biding his time and building strength.

The Sith Fleet is the home to the Crusading Empire, all the Enclaves being abandoned.

In terms of armour the Sith troopers wear black armour and rarely take off their helmets, the microphones in their helmets make all their voices sound the same and is meant to indicate some kind of unity.

They themselves simply carry blaster rifles and pistols, rather than the specialised weapons employed by the task force.

Not saying it'll be easy lol. From my readings its seems most Darth apprentices don't even make it to ruling the Siths like their predecessors. Its a goal I want to reach but a little knowledge is more than worth it all. Anyway, we''ll just have to see what happens.

Not in terms of history. Kinda tidy up the rough edges. Make him seem more evil. Add some history but not a lot.

Personal History: Long ago Crusade was called Tony Wells, born on the planet Corellia. Son of a ship builder, however in his youth while on a transport ship to coruscant the ship was raided by pirates. Many were killed, except for Crusade who managed to hide. The ship itself was left to drift for an untold amount of time. In his anger, and his hatred for what the pirates had done to his parents he discovered his ability to connect to the Force. Destroying much of the interior of the vessel, for the next several months he was more or less self taught in command of the Force. He had nothing else to do on the long drift through empty space but to train, to move objects. To speed himself up, and make himself stronger. Until eventually the ship was picked up by the Hâsk.

Just to keep y'all interested and it keeps me interested. I'm going to add to Crusades... long, history in instalments. They'll usually be longer than this one but y'know. It's a sunday.
