Just about finished with Sydney, all I have to work on now is her history--which I'm doing right now. I do have a question though. Is this plot taking place in Haye, or Winchester? Just wondering, since both places were mentioned. o:

Haye. It's a town that doesn't exist in real life, so I felt it better to use a fictional place.

The only thing I'd say to that is that she has to keep it a secret that she ate other Emergents during the chaos of the early days, before the spirits and animals started showing it too. You might want to come up with where she's staying; possibly a homeless shelter or a Catholic church (or not Roman Catholic-- Russian Orthodox churches are popular in this part of PA too) that are probably taking in more refugees from the cities and so forth due to the Emergence. Shit has happened, and it's an emergency, so less questions might be asked. Child services, notably, isn't in the shape it would be when everything's normal.

Worth noting that yeah, as America freaks out, it being America, law enforcement is overlooking possession of a firearm for people with no priors. It really depends on the mood of the cop, but they're letting conceal or open carry slide unless someone is being dumb, partially because there is magical shit bursting all around that might need to be put down with a weapon at hand. Wooden and silver rounds are popular sells at sporting goods stores and there are, correspondingly, a lot more accidents happening at the moment. It's PA, so the shotgun on a rack in the cab of a truck thing applies (picture below for you foreigners.)



Haye is no different and it's hunting country...so even the -Volvos- have these things in some cases now.

Also, I just had a thought on how to start the RP; Fern's character can see auras, so perhaps she's contacting people who show signs of Emergence -- there could be a swirl of colors or a particular intensity that reveals them to the sight thing she managed.

In any case, the Water of Life, the cafe Brian bartends/manages (as an assistant to his brother, the owner) at, makes for a pretty good place to meet (I can always say it has an unused attic/storage area or something), or we figure out some other sort of 'secret room' scenario, such as a residence or whatever.

Edit: Lemme know what you guys think about that plan so we can get this RP to roll.

If you're not satisfied with the meeting place being under the Water of Life, maybe once Sydney has grown comfortable with everyone else she could offer her fathers Church as a place of meeting? Since its only full/busy during service, which is usually during the mornings or early afternoons, they'd be able to talk in peace there.

And no one would suspect in a church.

Note: However, there should be a degree of uneasiness and argument over where these things get hosted, personal risk, screwing with someone's cover and so forth. Tension as they risk discovery.
