Name: Brenna

Age: 21 - over 200, she doesn't really remember

Appearance:

Bio: Brenna was born sometime in the 1800's. An accident claimed her hearing when she was 15, making her completely deaf. As a result she had no marriage prospects and ended up in a brothel. As she grew Brenna became more and more in tune with the world around her, despite being unable to hear. Her other senses, particularly her sight, sharpened considerably. Sometimes it was almost like she could read people's minds and knew what they were going to do and what they wanted just by looking at them, a handy skill in a brothel. She brought in enough money to keep the owner happy and treating her well, in time keeping her more and more for himself until eventually she had no clients but the owner. She was abused sexually but treated like a priceless work of art every other way, nothing more then an object.
She found solace in her art. She drew and painted, her sharp eyes catching details that many would miss. People loved her portraits, since she could find the real person and the real beauty beneath outward appearances. But the owner had to even take that from her, using her art to make money without putting her name on it or sharing any profit with her.
Brenna hated her life but had no where to run.
Until HE came...

The night that Alistair, the man who would change her life, entered the brothel Brenne knew with once glance that he was different. And that he was not there for sex.
She was proved right when he slaughtered the owner and gave everything, including money, to the prostitutes within the brothel. But for some reason, maybe because of the owner's treatment of her, he took notice of her, her deafness and her artwork. He changed her that night... turned her into something strong and powerful, something that didn't need to worry about her disability or about people taking advantage of her. One of her newfound abilities was telepathy, the ability to read the minds of others and project her own thoughts into theirs. With this she was able to communicate as she never could before, which made her forever grateful to Alistair.
She has spent the past decade or so learning ASL and going to an art school in New York, but now she feels the pull of her blood. Her family needs her...

Personality: she tries to be patient with people but gets annoyed quickly when they think because she is deaf she is stupid or slow. if you can sign to her she will latch on to you because she prefers it over reading minds and projecting her thoughts because she feels it is an invasion of privacy. plus most minds are very filthy and remind her of her former life, which disgusts her.
she is on the quiet side until she is comfortable with you. she maintains a calm exterior no matter what is going on. she is working on learning to read lips but is finding it difficult. she enjoys watching movies (with subtitles), especially scary ones and old bad campy films because she thinks that are funny. and, although it sounds strange, she is a great listener because she can pick up on people's moods and feelings by watching them. she can tell when someone is upset or hurt or angry and will offer a hug or a shoulder to lean on if needed.

The only thing I fear is killing all of the character development and starting anew. I'd prefer if we kept our character's relationships and interactions thus far as cannon.

Ooookay, this is going to sound totally strange, but how is everyone for splitting up the RP into arcs and making a new thread for the next one? Like, you know how we made the switch from the old thread to a new thread (when I accidentally killed the RP, woops), and new people saw it? We do, to a point, need more Kingstons and I think the number of posts etc makes it difficult to attract new blood... Also, can make it easy just to sum up arcs.

Basically I got the idea from Myst's RP which is as old as dirt. Of course, I won't do it if you guys think it's a terrible idea!
