Name: Solomon Roan Laes Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearance: (I'll add a picture later) 5'8 with short dark wavy hair and bright green eyes and a pale complexion. Likes to wear thick coats and full-gloves because he gets cold easily. Has a sapphire earring on his right ear. Usually wears sandals. Talent: Seals Backstory: Solomon is the son of a scribe's widow, and he grew up doing nothing but reading books, because his mother, out of fear wouldn't let him go outside, however, he came across a young girl that was already highly accomplished in magic. She was short, silent and honestly a little awkward even for him, but her knowledge and her experience with the outside world made him starve for more. The time came of course, when he was given a chance to choose. Spurred by the memory of that girl and a longing to meet her again and a desire to compare himself to the man he was and the mage she is, he of course chose the path of magic. Other: Is pretty good at housework and has incredibly poor social skills. Memorization and analysis are his key abilities, especially when it comes to books. Poor physical condition.

lol hm... so he meet a younge female mage, and it inspired him to want to become a mage is that basicly your backstory? hm.. I guess that could work, hm.. poor physical condition...well he'll be in a world of painful training lol, magic isn't just about training magical abilities and the mind, smart magic users also train their bodies so he'll probably be given a training routine regarding that hm.. I don't really see anything against the goal of the rp so I guess he can join.

post when ever ya wish, the ic is up and going now, and I did edit my post for us now having 8 apprentices a good number I like lol only question is how many will we still have after so long into the roleplay... I do plan if someone disappears for to long of a time (don't have a time set, but It will be a good amount of time to give them a chance to post) then we will pass them if needed so we can keep on the rp.. I don't plan on letting it die so easy.

hello there Eklispe so you decided to check out my little apprentice rp lol, hm... after looking at your character i'm mainly just unsure when it comes to his talent, wither it be an alright thing to have or not. mainly because there will be times when the apprentices will go against each other in tournaments or sparring matches.

Nerf batted. I see your point However while he has exceptional control this way it quickly tires him and he can only effectively use it to control a single spell before he becomes to fatigued to use this talent anymore.

hm..... then it would be balanced for the others but no so much for your character so it would be unbalanced when it comes to your character. A lot of the time when there is something that involves player character vs player character I try to help balance things so one side wont have an fairly big advantage, which they would once he used what his talent, causing him to most likely get quickly beaten. hm... if you want him to be a type of counter guy like your making him seem like, sense he can counter their spells by manipulating it, you could just have his talent to be in countering magics. which there is a few types of that, which I guess would involve the manipulation but not as a primary thing. just suggestions.

It wouldn't as negative for my character as you're thinking and even if it was i would be content with that. I was thinking of it this way. Essential using his talent would drain 51% of his energy. Now obviously he still has a bit of energy left, just not enough to use his talent again. Edit: i was thinking the same thing about double post XD

booksmusicanime did you edit your character?... they can't use magic, and aren't considered mages at all at beginning here.... they wont get any of that until after they meet their master and start learning magic from him, not to mention unlock the power.

hm.... main thing here is we got 9 accepted characters, and only 6 have made an appearance now... so we're missing 3 people so it's going to slow the beginning process of the rp, so I may end up not being able to post until our missing members post once, because next post would be about them all getting close/arriving and meeting the master, so ya..

Solomon tripped and sucked in a breath as pain shot through his knee. He really needed to get more fit . . . He stopped to catch his breath. As he did so, he heard a voice coming from nearby. It sounded female. "Hello?" he called out tentatively. "Is anyone there?"
