Alright, so I've taken a brief look at some of the stuff in this game, and I have enough interest in this to want to join it. However, there are a few factors I need to address before I do anything specific:

First off, there's the fact that I haven't watched Steven Universe myself, and know barely anything about the setting other than what I've gleaned from a certain amount of research on the Wiki for the cartoon (which can of course be refreshed if necessary); I roughly know the general powers and abilities that Gems can possess, as well as the various sources of conflict in the cartoon, but beyond that, I'm not sure how much I need to know.

Second, there's the pre-existing bulk of... well, nearly everything in this game. There's been a player base for a long time, who seem to talk to one another OOC with a frequency I'm not likely to match up with - eleven and a half thousand posts in about three months is quite frankly an absurdly high amount of activity, given how fast every other game seems to move - and a lot of actions have been posted IC too, for which I don't know if I'll need knowledge of prior events to do anything notable in-game.

Third, I don't know whether certain character slots are even open at the present time. It seems like Gem characters may not be available to new players at the moment, and the idea for a character I had not only requires the use of a Gem, but may well be inconsistent in terms of what everyone else has, since said character would technically be a Gem-human hybrid, albeit not one born as such the way Steven is in the show. This is really the biggest deciding factor, since everything else can be resolved through my own effort, whereas I'd need Akaya's approval and/or permission in order to have as much freedom as I'd need to make the character I have in mind; if you want me to discuss who and what the character would be in greater detail, I'd be more than happy to oblige prior to actual character creation.

And finally, in the situation that I'm allowed my character as aforementioned, there's the matter of how I'd have them meet up with the other characters, amongst a certain number of less problematic issues such as "how did my character come to be the way they are"; from what I've gathered, a certain number of Gems are currently at the destroyed Kindergarten, but I need to figure out what excuse my character would have to go over there and happen across them, or to do the same with characters in another location. Probably not too difficult to figure out, but I just thought I'd mention it as something for everyone to consider, rather than just leaving it to my own devices.

Having said all of that, I suppose there's not much else I can do at this stage beyond waiting for answers. So, uh, if anyone could help me resolve the points stated above, that'd be great, and a "thank you" in advance to those who do so.

@BCTheEntity I'm pretty positive we don't have room for new gems right now, but that amount that's happened so far shouldn't hinder you from joining. I can't really imagine you needing to post more than every 2 days, we have several people who don't post much more than that. I can't say for sure how they'd feel about your character, but sadly it probably doesn't matter since they aren't accepting new gems.

@BCTheEntityIf there's anything that you need help on regarding the show, I'm sure that we can fill you in if you don't have the time to watch the 70+ episodes of the series. What you've given us is pretty much all you need to know, but again, we can fill you in if need be.

There are a few things that You'll need to know, like what's happening at the moment that you jump in, but given the context of the characters, you should be fine without a recap, unless you would like one, that is. Yeah, we've stayed up until the crack of dawn in all of our respective time zones to post as much as physically possible, and we are currently in our second Bulk, as I like to call it.

While I'm trying to help, I can't speak of Kronshi or Akaya on your character idea. I had the idea of an elderly man who knew about the gems, and befriended a gem long ago to learn about them, but the idea was shut down for various reasons.

If the idea is passed, what if your character had some sort of map? If they are a gem-human hybrid, then I'm sure that things were left to them since the gem would have been required to abandon their physical form to create the hybrid. Maybe a map to the Kindergartens, and your character is just doing rounds in a desperate attempt to find some new gems or anything that could help them?

Alright, a lot of question from the get go so I will try to answer them as best I can.

1. It is not a problem that you don't know Steven Universe other than what you have read on Wiki but at I appreciate that you took to do that for the interest of joining. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have on it along the way as well as everyone else here and we will let you know on anything that seems impossible or unlikely if it should come up. You are always free to ask questions or share ideas here and just because I say no to something doesn't mean I don't find it epic, just have to make everything fit logically.

2. We all have become good friends here. The OOC is so high because we literally talk about our days and work things out, joke and laugh. I don't expect everyday. There are many here that don't post for days even weeks at a time. This is because they communicate with me and let me know a head of time that things are going to get busy. It is alright if you do not speak in the OOC as a few just don't but at least continue posts when you can or give a heads up on a leave. If you can let me know when you are going to be gone or when things will slow down for your posting that is all I ask. If I don't hear that you will be gone and you disappear for a certain amount than I will drop because I think you are no longer interested (I would change my mind but it would come with an actual apology and a good reason you couldn't say a quick word to the leave). All I ask is a quick "Looks like things will be busy and might be back at _____" I don't even care if it passes the date set as long as I know that something is up to prepare. As for anything notable in game, I can give you a list on everything thus far but it might take a little while.

3. This one I am iffy on. I am not going to say no just yet but it would mean major discussions with you, Kronshi, and myself (as well as the input of others here if they see something we have missed). I would want to see the character and know more. I had to go through this with Pryoman's character suggestion and in the end it was tossed so be prepared for something like this to happen but I need to know more before I can answer this one.

4. Pyro made a valid suggestion on this one but if you are uncomfortable with the idea than we can speak it over if and when your character is accepted. As I stated before, I need to see and know more information and I will not rush into a desision without speaking with my Co-GM first since we equally run this RP and I hold his opinion in very high regard.

I've been keeping up with my assignments so far though, I'm just really worried about what will happen if I don't. Also for one of my classes I have to write a mock will for myself and another one for a family member, which is already turning out to be kind of uncomfortable.
