I have returned! Excited to get back into this now that I'm at the end-side of my college application process.

Guys, I'll be gone for most of this week because, let's see. Tonight is dress rehearsal for our fall production. Tomorrow is the actual fall production. I leave for state swimming on Wednesday at noon and I have a dumbphone so there will be minimal posting from me until Saturday, when I'll be so busy with catching up on school that I probably won't be checking the Guild.

@OldManWong You lucky duck. I'm still scrambling to get mine done and do the other related things. Like, you know, giving up a weekend to retake the ACT because apparently a 32 isn't good enough. To quote my parental figures.

I made a 1600~ on my SAT too which was just good enough to help me exempt stuff for college. So ye. Das stupid.

Wooo go 1600, I got that too! Never taken the other one though... I got away with just the SAT score.

I know a girl who aced it and has no bad feelings about telling everyone so. So no, a 1900 is good and you should be proud. Just don't go gloating about it two times out of the week and you're good.

Why're you taking these tests now? My school doesn't let us take the ACT until February, and the SAT is optional now

A lot of schools, I think, offer them earlier, so that you can take it early, see what you did poor in, and try again. If you're shooting for a goal, then starting early is a good thing to do, because you're kind of feeling the waters, getting to know what you need to work on in order to get to what goal. Or you get to your goal, and you just go with it.

Wolfie, it's out of 36. A 32 put me in the 99th percentile in my state (that means the top 1 percent of scorers) and the 98th percentile in the US (in the top two percent of scorers.) Which would be good. But nooo because I'm going for a "selective" scholarship, and to put it in the words of one of my best friends "You're screwed, Ari, because our class is f-ing geniuses." So yeah. :(
I took it last May. I'm just waiting for the next retake because I missed the one that was this weekend.

Well, 88% isn't bad no matter how you slice it and I don't doubt it would still be good enough given that it's in the highest brackets. That aside, as there isn't much room for improvement you wont need to beat yourself by much in order to get what you require once the test comes back around, so good luck :)
