Whatever material he could change his body into probably won't stop too many bullets, unless he took material from other parts of his body to make another part more dense. On the topic of something as big as a tank shell: unless Max compressed all of his body mass into one small block (killing him), he's not stopping any tank shells anytime soon.

5'8", medium build, toned. Caucasian with brown hair and hazel eyes that change color with his mood. He glows slightly due to ingesting small quantities of radioactive materials.
Location: Southern Washington
Settlement: Freetown: Founded by a group of Anarchists that lived in the area, anything is legal here as long as you don't hurt anyone. Hurting someone includes, but isn't limited to, murder, assault, theft, and rape. If you are wronged, simply contact a bounty hunter and they'll bring the person in for trial before an arbiter or jury, their choice, though serious crimes usually require a jury. If you can prove that you were harmed, you get restitution and they pay all of the court costs. If you can't, you each pay your own court costs. If the case is judged frivolous, you pay them for having them abducted and held, and pay their court costs too.
Though just about any product or service can be had here, popular buildings are the tavern, the fight club, the brothel, the inn/restaurant, and the doctor, for after the others mess you up. The headquarters for the Guardians is also there, and serves as jail and courthouse if one is needed.
Profession: Previously- mechanic in a local factory
Currently- Bounty hunter/salvager/mercenary Sergent for the Guardians, a group that serves as the protectors of many towns in the area. They apprehend criminals, jail them, provided space for the trial, work as guards, perform missions for the locals and, when they don't have enough work, salvage for valuable materials. The guardians prefer alien materials and tech, but will salvage anything worth hauling back if need be.

Powers: Radiation Metabolism: Different forms of radiation are metabolized in slightly different ways, enhancing his body. The more he absorbs, the more it enhances his body.
Photon based radiation: Heat affects him less than others, as he can absorb some photons, like IR radiation, Gamma rays, X-rays, and microwaves. Only Gamma rays can be absorbed completely, though, and the higher the energy of the photon, the more energy it gives him. Too much absorption leads to hyperactivity, as he can't use the energy fast enough.
Beta radiation: Beta particles increase the conductivity of his nervous system, leading to better reflexes and senses. It also improves his brain, speeding up his thoughts. As Beta radiation is just high energy electrons, he has a slight immunity to electrical attacks. Too much absorption leads to bullet time, where his perceptions are greatly slowed, and at higher levels with cause his nervous system to become electrically charged, leading to taser-like effects.
Alpha Radiation: Alpha particles increase his strength and boost organ function. This includes a slight healing factor and a resistance to disease and toxins. Too much absorption will lead to his muscles tearing themselves from his bones and will boost his metabolism so far that he experiences nutrient deficiencies, though he will recover with time, rest, and gamma radiation.
Neutron Radiation: Neutron radiation increases the strength of his skin and its resistance to damage. Too much absorption will decrease the flexibility of his skin, restricting his movement.
Weaknesses: If he goes for more than a few days without absorbing radiation, he grows lethargic, and needs to rest to recover. To try and combat this, he consumes his favorite drink, whiskey with apple juice and radium dust. It makes him a bit more clever and makes him a bit stronger and healthier than normal.
Weapons: 100lb steel Long bow, 20x pointed arrows (normal arrows made of alien hull material), 8x shock arrows (can be recharged in 60 seconds by returning them to the quiver, with a maximum of eight recharges before the quiver needs to be recharged), 9mm pistol, 3x explosive bullets, 10x standard bullets (made of salvaged copper)
Armor/Clothing: Leather armor with alien hull alloy plates on the chest, back, arms, and legs
Equipment and Supplies: cell phone/Bluetooth earpiece (someone in town rigged a cell tower for the people in it), food bars, canteen, first aid kit.
Personality: He doesn't like people ordering him around, but understands the value of a chain of command in battle situations. If left to his own devices, he would spend it tinkering with various gadgets he wants to build. Reluctantly, he has to salvage or bounty hunt for a living. Not that he minds helping people in need or finding things that others need, but it's just not exciting.
History: He was coming home from work one day when alarms started to sound. He knew he had to hide, or the force of the blast and radiation from it would kill him. He briefly considered hiding in a 1940s lead lined refrigerator, but realized that it would block very little of the radiation from the bombs, and would likely heat up enough to cook him. Instead, he quickly drove out of town to an old, abandoned mine and went inside, going as deep as he could. When the first bomb fell he was hit with enough stray neutron and gamma radiation do make him extremely hyperactive, and to make his skin so stiff that he couldn't move. He laid in the mine for several days wide awake, with his mind racing, trying to understand what had happened to him, as he'd never had anything like this happen before. The only thing that made sense was that he was a super, and that somehow his powers had protected him. He considered many possibilities for what his power could be, but wasn't sure until he was able to move again and test his theories by exposing himself to controlled amounts of radiation.
Eventually, he made his way south, salvaging what he could from irradiated areas that the few other people he saw wouldn't go near. When he reached Freetown, at that point just a Walmart that was still mostly standing, he sold what he'd gathered and helped them build up their settlement. He preferred it to the other settlements he'd come across because no one here was trying to make up rules and force people to follow them. When a group of ex-cops, ex-soldiers, and scavengers, joined together to create the Guardians he joined them, figuring that he'd be salvaging anyway, and he could benefit from being a part of the group.
On one of these salvaging trips he found some badly damaged alien tech. While the only functioning, intact thing that he could find was a small battery, he also salvaged some hull fragments and a few damaged capacitors which, one of the other salvagers learned the hard way when shooting at a stray dog, would explode when exposed to too much pressure, such as the force of a bullet impact. He scraped the material out of the burned out capacitors and put in inside seven bullets. He was forced to use four of these bullets, though, defending the colony against raiders.

Long brown hair with some brown stubble to match he has a brown coat and classic cowboy get up. A black cowboy hat with a white feather to remember his 'pure' days. His old bandolier matches the raggedness of the rest of his outfit. About 6 feet tall Caucasian with a darker dirty complexion Jethro is built like any cowboy but more imposing with slightly broader shoulders.
Location: He currently resides in the deserts of California
Settlement: A drifter however he does have a hideout of sorts. An old mine town now named Crux-Rest is a small desert haven for Jethro. He decided to settle there because it is where his partner in justice and ex-lover Lira Crux is commemorated. After the Apocalypse Jethro renamed the town in her honor. Due to the fact that it's where he shed his last tear over her death.The town is now mostly inhabited by the wannabe Bandit gang however it's not all criminals and savages you can find families protected by the 'gang' as well. Outsiders aren't greeted with a pillow and blanket but not a smoking gun either. If one can prove themselves valuable or just not a threat to the sanctuary of the town they are welcome to stay.

Skills:Horseback riding, Horse taming, Wrangling, Hunting, Marksmanship, Gun Twirling, Lassoing, hand-to-hand combat, poker.
Powers: Has the ability to safely charge small objects up to the size of a bayonet with potential energy. This potential energy releases on a substantial enough impact or if over charged by Jethro. This potential energy releases in an explosion that varies in power. The power depends on how long he takes in charging the object. However the higher the charge the less stable the object is. The object when charged glows a faint orange aura in the dark. All Jethro needs to charge an object is to touch it. Both hands can individually charge but charge faster when focused on one object.
Weaknesses: His own power drains him physically. If he tries to charge an object too big he would most likely go into cardiac arrest. In more minor cases he will pop a blood vessel. He can charge around 100 bullets or bullet sized objects maximum with the explosive power of a frag grenade in about an hour without passing out.
Weapons: 2 silver six-six shooter pistols,a shoe with pop out blade, machete, a hunting rifle, a lasso, two grenades, a cyanide pill.
Armor/Clothing: His typical desperado get up (see appearance), a light bulletproof vest underneath his shirt, a locket with a small picture of Lira in it
Equipment and Supplies: Rope, a Canteen of whiskey, a bandolier full of ammo (with speed loaders), a black bandanna and a deck of cards including the jokers.
Personality: Jethro is a man with a scarred past, one that he doesn't care to remember. Anybody who calls him Jethro is looking for the barrel of his gun. 'Roy' as he now prefers is a self loathing introvert. He only comes to social places to gather a team for a job or for more whiskey. A shell of the hero he used to be he has abandoned all his past and looks silently to the future for guidance. His poker face is the face he wears day in and day out. A silent presence in Crux-rest he is a myth, a shadow, the sheriff only in the darkest of times.
History: Justice is what Jethro stands for, justice however is a hard word to define. Jethro is the product of genetic experimentation. At birth he was stolen from the Black River Village Hospital along with 7 other newborns he was taken to a cult camp. This cult (who's name is still unknown) believed these 8 were to be sacrificed for the cult to prosper. So they pumped each newborn full of experimental drugs stolen from an abandoned what was believed to be meth lab. Every baby except Jethro died a terrible painful death. Jethro however was only pumped half full of chemicals when the local authorities arrived. The police were being slaughtered and in the heat of battle saved the newborn without even investigating the tubes he was hooked up to. Jethro was taken to a boys home where he lived out his days until adulthood.

However in high school Jethro who now went by 'Roy' met Lira. They were perfect for each other and the best part was. Both of them being late bloomers had just discovered they had supernatural abilities. Lira could fly and Jethro well we already know about his powers. It turns out Jethro's abilities were dormant due to the lack of testosterone to set off the chemicals in his blood stream. The two were madly in love and married at 19. Both took up the super hero life going as 'The Sheriff' and 'Dust'. For the years they kept A better part between Santa Fe and Phoenix safe.

Then one night on their anniversary Lira didn't show up to dinner. Jethro impatiently waiting received a call from her 20 minutes late. Lira spoke these exact words
"Roy." That's it, she hung up. That's all that's needed to be said. Lira always called Jethro by his real first name and was the only person that did. Jethro rushed home and found Lira in his car with the engine running in the garage dead. Suicide. No note was left and Jethro was needless to say devastated. The next day the apocalypse happened.

Lira's spontaneous suicide forced Jethro to shut out the world during the apocalypse. Helping nobody but himself, he moved to the dessert and lived in solitary for years.The sheriff died with Lira and nobody patrolled the streets during the time that they needed it most. Jethro marked by tragedy took up the bandana and started roaming and ended up in California. He took over a town of scum he felt was a good place for Lira's memorial and settled as best he could. Occasionally he will rob others and now justice is interpreted by Jethro as, he takes what he wants to fill the void the best he can.
Other:His six shooters' names are Dante and Westley. Both names are engraved on the corresponding guns.

Consider it accepted. I'm a tad wary about what his maximum power of this 'charging' could be, bnut just don't go making explosions that are excessively large and we won't have a problem.

The whole back is covered in a tattoo depicting a diving eagle holding a bundle of lightning, above the motto "ORDO AB CHAO".
Location: somewhere along the shores of the Hudson river, north of New York.
Settlement: none; Graham is a drifter, along with the "policemen" following him.
Skills: experience with firearms, melee combat, and riot control, strong charisma and leadership.
Weapons: a wooden baton, a machete, and a MP7A1 submachinegun.
Armor/Clothing: a full riot police vest, and a gas mask.

Personality and History: stern, cruel, silent, Graham is surrounded by an aura of authority based on blood. A lifetime of violence and atrocities left their mark on the man's mind, and through violence and atrocities he is bent on leaving his own mark on the world. The thing Graham hates the most is disorder, anarchy: growing up as an orphan in one of the many slums of the sprawling city of New York, where rival clans bloodied the streets with their fights, might be the cause of that. He found a strange sense of satisfaction in being the only one who played by the rules, surrounded by criminality, and that was the reason why he decided to enlist in the local police force. Perhaps, it was because of his ruthless, and often needless, brutality, that he was praised by his superiors and promoted as a sergeant of a riot police unit. Soon, he began to have contacts in the criminal underground, working together with allied mob leaders and other corrupt police officers to eliminate rival gangs and monopolize the drugs, weapons and prostitution markets: in time, peace came to the streets. Illegal affairs were led by a single gang, which in a sea of blood, and with the help of Graham, who got handsomely paid for his services, managed to gain hegemony over New York.

As the End came, society utterly spiraled into chaos. The bloody peace Graham worked so hard to achieve was shattered as gangs of survivors fought against each other for things such as food, shelter or water; a situation that could not be tolerated. Soon, Graham reunited what remained of New York's police forces, along with what was left of his criminal allies, and after sacking the police's warehouses across the city, he formed the bulk of his horde. Clad in riot police armor, the phalanx of riot shields advanced, led by Graham, in the ruined streets of New York. Those who crossed their path had two choices: to submit to the new order, or die. Quickly, Graham's "policemen" gained more and more members and equipment, and soon could count on horses, dogs, and armored vans. In time, all of New York was once again devastated and sacked by Graham's followers, and all that was left was a dead wasteland of crumbling ruins and the very few crawling survivors who managed to survive the massacre. In search for new lands to raze, Graham led his men, kept in line by ruthless discipline, northwards, towards Boston, another city which needs to be pacified. In Graham's mind, he was entrusted by fate with a sacred mission: to bring back order to a lawless world, no matter how much blood needs to be shed. Soon, peace shall be restored, and order shall prevail.

I like it. But I'm gonna need you to make a few changes to the CS. As much as I like the back story, I can't just let you say that you've already claimed all of New York City. NY is a big place, with A LOT of people. If you changed it so that you said he, say, took over Queens or something, that'd be one thing.

Personality: Houston had a bright future but the apocalypse and the things that happened to before took their toll on his mind. Due to this Houston finds it hard to keep a stable persona and often find himself flitting between emotions. At one point he could be happy and serious man more then willing to help you, the next he turns into a mess of tears and anguish. Or if you were unlucky perhaps he sees you as one of the creatures of his nightmares and decides to attack you. Normally he can control his emotions through meditation and positive thinking but missed session or an increase in stress can cause him to lose control of himself.

On a good day though Houston has a kind and caring attitude, he was the kind of man that would help and old woman across the road. Being a smart man he has no problems correcting people and even himself and adopts the ideas that if you can put your mind to it. You can accomplish it.

Appearance/Description:

Houston does not wear any kind of superhero suit or disguise, he normally doesn’t go looking for trouble unless he needs to learn information.The only kind of disguise or costume he would wear would be a scarf over his face and a heavy coat to hide himself. However since the world collapsed he has found it harder and harder to hold onto the scraps of his sanity and now walks around wearing a long black cloak.

Abilities:

I’m not crazy. YET!: Houston has a high resistance against mental attacks or attacks that attack his mind. This is due to his already cracked and damaged mind that finds only the strongest of mental attacks actually affect him. It also makes him basically immune to people reading his mind as all they will be able to see are the horrific vision he saw.

Doorway beyond the veil: Houston has opened a doorway inside his mind and tapped into the power of the Great Old Ones. It grants all of his abilities the ability to drain his opponents sanity and stamina to the point of causing permanent mental damage when exposed to them for too long. The side effects from being exposed to the Great Old One’s powers can result in Schizophrenia, Delusion, Dementia, Blackouts, Self harm, Disorientation, Suicidal thoughts or actions or Hysteria causing them to not recognise friend from foe.

Necronomicon: Houston wields the tome known as the Necronomicon with it he can summon otherworldly creatures to possess his body granting him great strength, endurance and allowing him to twist his body into inhuman shapes without harming himself. This causes him great mental strain and is normally a last resort as he must rest after reading from and banishing the spirit that possessed him. He can also curse his enemies by reading from the book causing the afflicted to be harassed by evil entities until the curse is dispelled or the entity defeated. Houston must recite the entire passage which is three pages long.

Power of the Great Old Ones: Houston can manifest and wield the power of the Great Old Ones. This power can manifest itself in a majority of ways. Mainly it looks like smoking darkness in his hands, he can throw this mass of dark energy at someone or simply touch them causing a variety of effects. Sometimes it can do nothing other times and more then likely it will do something harmful. Houston has seen people's limbs turn to glass or butterflies. Their body age rapidly or suffer necrosis of the hit area. Or Houston has seen people’s body explode into thousands of pieces. He never knows what will happen but it always amazes him.

Skills:

Scholar: Thanks to his eidetic memory he found school very easy and has no trouble gleaming information from books or people. It also allows him to pick up basic skills fairly quickly.

Master Linguist: Houston knows over 20 different languages

Psychologist: Houston is an unofficial psychologist as he never finished his course. Allowing him to read people and manipulate them.

Master of the Unknown: The corruption that was forced upon him changed his body in many ways, allowing him to endure alot more punishment than an normal human could take and strengthened his mind against mental attacks. It also granted him a never aging body allowing him to live essentially forever or until the fickle gods decide to take back their "Gifts".

Equipment:

The Necronomicon: A book crafted from human and Xeno skin it’s origin is unknown to Houston but it was a rare find during an expedition into a Great Old One cult. The book's contents are all written in the Language of the Old Ones. Reading from this book is enough to drive weak minds insane and release dangerous creature who hunger for human blood and souls. Houston can wield the book but only through sheer force of will and everytime he uses the book he must fight for control of his mind and the power the book has trapped inside it’s pages.

Brief History:

Houston has a dark past. Since birth he has known nothing but rituals, cult meetings and murder of the worst kind. Houston was born into a cult and raised as the prophet child of the religion. According to the cults ancient text and divine imagery, a child would be born from the blood of their mother with the strength to channel the Great Old One’s power and lead them into a new world.

Houston’s birth was no miracle but fates worst joke. His mother heavily pregnant, took part in a ritualistic suicide in which her womb was cut open to allow Houston into the world. Herself performed cesarean worked but Houston’s mother did not survive the amount of damage that she inflicted upon herself. Thus the first part of the prophecy was complete, Houston had indeed been born from the dead and bloody corpse of his mother. When Houston’s eyes first gazed upon the world he saw only horror. His eye’s saw things that a normal human’s could not, he heard the harsh whisper of thousands of voices in his ear and felt a malevolent presence held back by a thin veil of light.

Houston was trained in the cults ways and was sent to school like a normal child. However Houston could never shut out the voices, or stop the creatures he saw from staring at him patiently, like dogs waiting for their owners to feed them. Houston could tell that he could not be a master to these beasts he barely kept his sanity in check when he looked upon them. For every glimpse, every whisper he heard he was pulled slowly but surely into the dark chasm of madness. He never spoke about what he saw to anyone not even his father.

Houston managed his way through school, then through university where he did a degree in mythology and the history of religion. While in his studies he discovered that names of the creatures that had plagued him his entire life. As he delved deeper into his studies he learnt more and more about his cults dark past. The rituals that his father and his cult had performed on him, the many people he had watched be tortured and killed. It was all to weaken the veil that separated their world from the Great Old One’s world.

Realizing how foolish he had been he confronted his father with the knowledge he had found. his father chuckled telling his son to follow him deep into the cults worshiping chambers. Once there he found all of the cultist in a large circle made up of three rings of people, each person grasped tightly in their right hand a dagger. In the middle of the circle was a large basin built into the form. Then it all went dark. He woke up bound in the basin his father was in the circle and all of the cultist were chanting loudly. A tall slim joyous man waltz towards Houston, he bent down and cupped Houston’s chin in his hand and smiled. He spoke in what Houston now knows to be latin. The words he spoke were forever engraved in Houston’s fragile mind finally cracking him and causing that last of Houston’s sanity to leave him.

The man raised his hands in the air as all of the cultist slit the person to their lefts throat causing the blood to gush from them into the basin bathing Houston in the blood of the cultist who despite their excessive blood loss, remained upright head bowed toward Houston until their final drop of blood was spent. Houston screamed as he was lifted of his feet above the basin the blood below him writhed and whipped at his ankles. His scream of pain became silent his mouth agape as his mind was torn open revealing to him the secrets of the world that humans inhabited. His brain overflowed with every detail of earths history from its birth to its death. He saw the Great old ones awakening from their slumber and breaking through the veil that had protect the human race for so long. He watched as the universe was enslaved and set upon by these monstrous creatures.

Then it stopped, the vision disappeared and Houston dropped into the now empty basin. The tall man looked down at Houston fascinated at what the man had become. Houston was a door waiting to be unlocked and thus the tall man turned around and disappeared into darkness saying one final speech to Houston before he lost consciousness: "The most merciful thing in the world... is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents but you. You can see the world and its barriers. You alone can stop what you have foreseen and what will happen if you fail. Use these gift wisely. That reminds me. You are but one part of a seven piece door, they have the keys but they must influence the mortals here to create the doors they need to enter this world. Good luck Houston." And the tall man disappeared in a sea of darkness as Houston’s body fell into unconsciousness.

Houston managed to piece his sanity back together but he still finds it hard to control his delusions, however his delusions granted him powers he could've never imagined which he plans to use to stop the Great Old One’s from using him or anyone else as a conduit to enslave this world. Though this was a long time ago and his sanity had slowly shifted making him lose his grip on reality and his mission.

The powers are a little much... Turning people to glass? Summoning monsters? Giving people mental disorders? 'The Power of The Old Ones' sounds like in some scenarios it could be the finger of god. You're gonna need to limit it more in some way and tone it down a bit.

Hey, this still going on? This sounds really cool, just being like a superhero doin' shit after the apocalypse. I've been watching lots of post-apocalyptic animes and been playing fallout a lot, so I decided "fuck it I'll join this". My dude idea is basically, a metalworker and gun enthusiast who, for some damn reason, developed the ability to steal other people's body parts with no ill effects. In simpler terms, if you cut off his arm, he could just cut off your arm and attach it to the stump, then his body will automatically absorb it. Of course, this also gives him superb regenerative qualities.

I'm thinking, basically, it's sort of like his body produces a lot more stem cells with a special mutation, probably sort of like cancer, that gives him that ability. But it's superheroics! I'm not sure if he'll be a good guy, a bad guy, or just a guy though. Probably the third one.

Nickname/Alias: "Frankenstein's Gunman", and "Wastelands' Fox"
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Appearance:
He is a six feet tall, well built caucasian male. He has a rougher face and complexion, yet isn't 'ruggedly handsome'. Quite plain, really. Disturbingly, his left arm is not his own: He stole it from some thug who tried to kill him while on the road from Nevada to California. Thus, it's still a different shade, his body not fully making it his 'own' yet. He has blue eyes, and dirty brown-blonde hair.

Location: He is going to south-west towards Cali from Nevada, already at the border near Las Vagas.

Settlement: Drifter, yet he survived the invasion by being on a camping trip, alone, the entire time.

Profession: As mentioned, Cooper was originally a metalworker, and a gun enthusiast. He worked for a well respected establishment in Nevada, and went to the shooting range pretty much every saturday he could. He was eventually laid off from his job, and took the opportunity to take an extra long camping trip.

Skills: His days in the wilderness taught him how to hunt, and how to be respectably sneaky. In addition, his time spent as a metalworker, and at the gun range, made him grow as a smith and as a firearms expert, respectively. His time fighting as a teenager also gave him decent abilities in the ancient, hallowed, and eloquent arts of punching the shit out of people.

Powers: His only power is the ability to steal the body parts of others, and use them as well as if they were his own. Obviously, it's a long term thing at best.

Weaknesses: He struggles with his own urges to go around raping, pillaging, and burning. In addition, he's quite depressed, what with everyone he knew and loved dead when he came back from a simple camping trip. Finally, his ability is extremely freakish. It's likely no one will trust him for free.

Weapons: He has his rifle, a survival knife, and his own wits.

Armor/Clothing: He wears a makeshift suit of armor he fashioned himself; the most 'refined' part is the headpiece, which is pretty good for deflecting bullets and blows from melee weapons. It also features a metal chest portion, which is of less refined nature. The other parts are certainly not set in stone, being very mismatched, and constantly being changed when he finds things more comfortable or protective.

Equipment and Supplies: Kent carries enough water to survive a few weeks comfortably: he could ration it efficiently to survive a month or two. He has a similar supply of food on his back, consisting of things such as canned foods and dried meat, plus a bag of delicious Cool Ranch Doritos(tm) for special occasions. He holds all of this in a camping bag slung on his back. He also has a folding tent in there, and an Ipod modified to be able to charge with sunlight.

Personality: Cooper has a very aggressive personality, and has urges to get everything possible from a situation. While this wasn't too possible before the invasion, now he can be as much of an asshole as he wants, whenever he wants. If someone says "I'll give you this if you kill these raiders.", He'll likely kill the dicks, receive the item, then kill the person who gave him the item, so he can steal the rest of their stuff.

Of course... that's if he had no conscience. While he has the urges to do so, he has enough self-awareness and a sense of justice to resist them. At the very least, he hopes so. He's also highly afraid of commitment, and of getting too attached. Sadly for him, he keeps on finding himself deep in remorse over things he absolutely had to do. The Bandit he stole his new arm from still haunts his nightmares, even though that was quite a while ago.

History: He had a nicer childhood. No traumatic events, no innocence-shattering awakenings of his powers, he had a fairly normal life. Sure, he was in a gang in high-school and beat up plenty of other kids, but when he was little he was always tinkering with his own toys to make them better. He still does that today, simply replace toys with body armor and automatic weapons. When he entered adulthood and began doing his own thing, he started doing odd-jobs to decide what to do with the rest of his life. He eventually decided to work in a military related industrial company.

Near the end of that career (Almost just before he got fired), he suffered an accident, and his doctor noticed his extreme condition. It was considered definitely abnormal, but was nothing for him to be registered as an 'actual super'. After being fixed, he was fired for other reasons, and decided to go on a hunting trip for giggles, to test his mettle and if all those hours wasted at the Gunrange was worth anything. H thinks he did reasonably well, poaching enough to feed himself, but he lost track of time.

What 'felt' like weeks turned out to be years as he returned to the world to see that it was in ruins. He still has no fucking idea what actually happened, and is wandering the wastes, assuming he's the last man alive.

Other: He has a skeleton inside of him. 2spooky, ain't it?
Basics of his ability: Remember this: "If it's supposed to be there and it isn't hit, it'll fit". He can also regrow the simpler and less important parts of his body over time (weeks to a full year, generally), but larger things, in addition to complex things, (E.G. legs, hearts, his lungs) will need a full replacement.

The only thing he can't completely replace is his brain. However, it could be possible if he's, say, lobotomized, to just grab the part that was cut off and throw it back into his skull, and it should heal.

Some elaborations:
Let's say he and an average bob are fighting. Bob cuts off Kent's right arm, Kent kills him and cuts off Bob's right arm. Ken grabs Bob's arm and sews it to his stump, after an hour or two, it is officially 'attached' and he can begin really using it. Beforehand, he can't really do anything.

Let's say Kent and Superbob are fighting. Superbob does the same (cuts off arm), Kent does the same (Kills and cuts off arm). Superbob had super-strength, thus, Kent has somewhat increased strength (Yet definitely not to the point of Superbob's) in that arm, and only that arm. If he replaces that arm with another again, he loses the superstrength, yet gains anything special that new arm might have.

He can also heal over time pretty much any part of his body. Depending on the organ, it can take weeks to a full year, however. Larger parts of his body also need full replacements, E.G. he can just regrow his kidneys, but he can't regrow his arm, for that he needs a 'donor' so he has sufficient material to work with.

He also can't regrow the more complex and important parts of his body, specifically his lungs, brain, heart, and stomach. For those, he's also going to need a replacement. However, he doesn't need to worry too much about if it's the right 'type' of heart or anything or if it's genetically close, it just needs to be a human heart. He'll be able to fix anything else himself.

However, there's lots of other downsides I'm thinking of to this. Obviously, if he attaches something with cancer, he's going to get that cancer, for one. For two, he basically has to prey on humans to do all of that. It's not like he's going to recieve too many actual donations, is it? It's also likely that his immune system is pretty much fucked when it comes to poisons or super-viruses. I mean, if it 'accepts' utterly foreign body parts it'll probably 'accept' anthrax or ebola, right? He'd probably live through that, but obviously it'll be a huge goddamn pain.

I'm not sure about too much else. Does that explain his abilities sufficiently? I think it does.

Edit: I just thought of something, lel. I'm thinking attached parts also eventually superficially turn into his 'actual' stuff, while being basically the same inside. E.G. if he attaches a black guy's arm (Oddly, that thought is hilarious to me. Is that bad?), it'll turn white in a few days.

Stealing people's powers and healing is too much. I mean, how many superbobs has he killed? How many superbobs will he kill? I see this getting too powerful too quickly. I'd say take out the power stealing part altogether, but if you can think of something better, you can do that.

5'8", medium build, toned. Caucasian with brown hair and hazel eyes that change color with his mood. He glows slightly due to ingesting small quantities of radioactive materials.
Location: Southern Washington
Settlement: Freetown: Founded by a group of Anarchists that lived in the area, anything is legal here as long as you don't hurt anyone. Hurting someone includes, but isn't limited to, murder, assault, theft, and rape. If you are wronged, simply contact a bounty hunter and they'll bring the person in for trial before an arbiter or jury, their choice, though serious crimes usually require a jury. If you can prove that you were harmed, you get restitution and they pay all of the court costs. If you can't, you each pay your own court costs. If the case is judged frivolous, you pay them for having them abducted and held, and pay their court costs too.
Though just about any product or service can be had here, popular buildings are the tavern, the fight club, the brothel, the inn/restaurant, and the doctor, for after the others mess you up. The headquarters for the Guardians is also there, and serves as jail and courthouse if one is needed.
Profession: Previously- mechanic in a local factory
Currently- Bounty hunter/salvager/mercenary Sergent for the Guardians, a group that serves as the protectors of many towns in the area. They apprehend criminals, jail them, provided space for the trial, work as guards, perform missions for the locals and, when they don't have enough work, salvage for valuable materials. The guardians prefer alien materials and tech, but will salvage anything worth hauling back if need be.
Skills: Archery and shooting, Parkour, electronics
Powers: Radiation Metabolism: Different forms of radiation are metabolized in slightly different ways, enhancing his body. The more he absorbs, the more it enhances his body.
Photon based radiation: Heat affects him less than others, as he can absorb some photons, like IR radiation, Gamma rays, X-rays, and microwaves. Only Gamma rays can be absorbed completely, though, and the higher the energy of the photon, the more energy it gives him. Too much absorption leads to hyperactivity, as he can't use the energy fast enough.
Beta radiation: Beta particles increase the conductivity of his nervous system, leading to better reflexes and senses. It also improves his brain, speeding up his thoughts. As Beta radiation is just high energy electrons, he has a slight immunity to electrical attacks. Too much absorption leads to bullet time, where his perceptions are greatly slowed, and at higher levels with cause his nervous system to become electrically charged, leading to taser-like effects.
Alpha Radiation: Alpha particles increase his strength and boost organ function. This includes a slight healing factor and a resistance to disease and toxins. Too much absorption will lead to his muscles tearing themselves from his bones and will boost his metabolism so far that he experiences nutrient deficiencies, though he will recover with time, rest, and gamma radiation.
Neutron Radiation: Neutron radiation increases the strength of his skin and its resistance to damage. Too much absorption will decrease the flexibility of his skin, restricting his movement.
Weaknesses: If he goes for more than a few days without absorbing radiation, he grows lethargic, and needs to rest to recover. To try and combat this, he consumes his favorite drink, whiskey with apple juice and radium dust. It makes him a bit more clever and makes him a bit stronger and healthier than normal.
Weapons: Long bow, 20x pointed arrows (normal arrows made of alien hull material), 8x shock arrows (can be recharged in 30 seconds by returning them to the quiver), 9mm pistol, 3x explosive bullets, 10x standard bullets (made of salvaged copper)
Armor/Clothing: Leather armor with alien hull alloy plates on the chest, back, arms, and legs
Equipment and Supplies: cell phone/Bluetooth earpiece (someone in town rigged a cell tower for the people in it), food bars, canteen, first aid kit.
Personality: He doesn't like people ordering him around, but understands the value of a chain of command in battle situations. If left to his own devices, he would spend it tinkering with various gadgets he wants to build. Reluctantly, he has to salvage or bounty hunt for a living. Not that he minds helping people in need or finding things that others need, but it's just not exciting.
History: He was coming home from work one day when alarms started to sound. He knew he had to hide, or the force of the blast and radiation from it would kill him. He briefly considered hiding in a 1940s lead lined refrigerator, but realized that it would block very little of the radiation from the bombs, and would likely heat up enough to cook him. Instead, he quickly drove out of town to an old, abandoned mine and went inside, going as deep as he could. When the first bomb fell he was hit with enough stray neutron and gamma radiation do make him extremely hyperactive, and to make his skin so stiff that he couldn't move. He laid in the mine for several days wide awake, with his mind racing, trying to understand what had happened to him, as he'd never had anything like this happen before. The only thing that made sense was that he was a super, and that somehow his powers had protected him. He considered many possibilities for what his power could be, but wasn't sure until he was able to move again and test his theories by exposing himself to controlled amounts of radiation.
Eventually, he made his way south, salvaging what he could from irradiated areas that the few other people he saw wouldn't go near. When he reached Freetown, at that point just a Walmart that was still mostly standing, he sold what he'd gathered and helped them build up their settlement. He preferred it to the other settlements he'd come across because no one here was trying to make up rules and force people to follow them. When a group of ex-cops, ex-soldiers, and scavengers, joined together to create the Guardians he joined them, figuring that he'd be salvaging anyway, and he could benefit from being a part of the group.
On one of these salvaging trips he found some badly damaged alien tech. While the only functioning, intact thing that he could find was a small battery, he also salvaged some hull fragments and a few damaged capacitors which, one of the other salvagers learned the hard way when shooting at a stray dog, would explode when exposed to too much pressure, such as the force of a bullet impact. He scraped the material out of the burned out capacitors and put in inside seven bullets. He was forced to use four of these bullets, though, when an insane geneticist calling himself "Professor Paleo" attacked the settlement riding a clone T-rex, with a pack of dilophosaurus.
Other: none that I can think of.

I said evil entities i never said they were actual physical monsters, they may not even hurt them could just be an annoying noise or a bunny that will follow around the person swearing at them.

The Whole character is based around randomness, i am more then happy to have his powers do nothing of use against an opponent.

So I've redone the history and thought I'd just give the answers to the questions you've asked.
1. His armor is a little stronger then steel.
2. When not in his armor he is of average human strength. When his armor is on his strength is doubled.
3. His magical attacks are of average power. For example he has an attack called shadowball(which is basically like a fireball but made of shadow) and he can't really make it bigger then a watermelon.

Appearance: Gleaming yellow eyes can be seen beneath the curly brown hair of this tan Caucasian. He stands at 6 feet evenly and his body is lightly toned with not a lot of muscle mass. He weighs around 160lbs. His expression at most times is charming but that is not to say he is a nice person, while his face is chiseled with no facial hair growing whatsoever. Blake wears torn up clothing over his clean body and wears no shoes upon his feet.

Location: Recently, hes managed to find himself wandering in the giant Redwoods, Post-California.

Settlement: Blake is a drifter by nature, choosing to not stay in one place for long.

Profession: Before the apocalypse Blake was studying to become a veterinarian.

Skills: Animal-Medicine, Cooking, projectile weaponry, fighting

Powers: Blake has the ability to transform into an armored knight. This armor has a demonic visage with medium plating fully encompassing him with no body parts being shown. Etched into the armor are ruins that give off a ominous yellow glow. The helmet has two yellow glowing eyes with a sly, toothy grin for a mouth while two horns protruding from either side of his head, wrap down to almost touch his neck. His physical and mental abilities are enhanced while in this form, while it also sports magic based attacks that come from his gauntlets, which are also a form of a melee attack. The magic itself is shadow based which means he is able to manipulate shadows for multiple uses.

Weaknesses: Fully body Sunlight stops him from using his magical powers and also nullifies his ability to transform. From past experience anytime he tries it doesn't work, while if he happens to be in his armor he will come under excruciating pain as the armor turns to ash, which he then won't be able to use for up to 2 hours. Shade allows him to regain his magical abilities and his transformation but only on a small scale compared to the night sky. The armor itself can stand a good bit of blows, but will eventually start to break apart if under too much stress.

Weapons: He has a small dagger hidden in his sleeve and he also carries a 22 glock hidden behind his back. Most of his weapons reside with his armor and powers.

Armor/Clothing: Torn clothing, his Diablo form.

Equipment and Supplies: He wears a small backpack filled with essentials for a drifter. Food, water, ammo and some medicine as well as a picture of home and family.

Personality: Blake is a hard worker, usually trying his hardest when preforming tasks, at least when he cares. Rarely does he laugh or smile anymore but when he does it can be infectious. Hes mostly cool but Blake can be arrogant as well as rash at times when he believes in something. Hes the type of person that would help any animal in an instance but not so much a human. While in his Diablo form his mood darkens into a brooding figure who does not care what others think.

History: Blake was ordinary before the apocalypse with nothing extraordinary about him that he could think of, other then the fact that he liked nature and helping animals. It was a quiet day, not even the birds were out chirping which they barely did anymore. The air was thick in his parents house, which he had fled to after the invasion began. He was sitting on the couch surrounded by his family, including the one he was to marry. She sat next to him so closely that if he listened hard enough he could hear her heart. They held hands as they listened to the static of the radio, which was illuminated by candlelight in that small room. They waited for something to change, anything knew to satisfy their minds so that they knew everything would be okay, but that never happened. It was subtle at first, a cough here and there which became worse in a short time period until his loved ones where on the ground withering in agony. Blake could only watch as he held his fiancee close to his chest. Her breathing becoming more erratic as her life drifted from her eyes, which a single tear fell. He looked around teary eyed, wondering what had just happened as his family lay dead around him. Overcome with grief he grew so angry and a hatred grew in him of all things alien.
It started slowly at first, the tingling sensation that wrapped around his body blinding his vision. He felt sick but could not move and when the sensation finally ended the blindness passed but what he saw was alien. His vision was enhanced and as he looked at his hands they were not his own but some monsters! He got up and ran from the room, faster then ever before and as he pushed the door to enter the bathroom it exploded off its hinges from the mere touch. He looked in the mirror then and realized that the monster was him and he could only wonder why as he punched the glass shattering it. Diablo had been born.
That was around a year ago and since then Blake has learned about his powers, using them to survive in a world which was now quiet. His family was dead and so was the life that he knew. There was only one thing to do and that was wander around the country with no direction in mind. As he walked the landscape the old Blake died and a new one was born, one who knew of hardship and loss. The only thing he felt anymore was empty and a burning sensation deep down that drove him forward. Seldom has he made human contact but on the occasions that he does two outcomes appear. One where he walks away with what he needs and two being the same as the first but with dead bodies in his wake. His latest trek has had him travel to the Redwood forest of California, what he hopes to find there, not even he knows.

Other: Enjoys the presence of animals more then humans.

Appearance: Besides her costume, Nightscales would be unremarkable if she had not recently mutated into an anthropomorphic lizard. Her skin was replaced with tough sandstone-orange scales, her old hair fell out and was replaced with long hornlike tendrils of thick, scaly hair, and she grew many other reptilian features, such as a long snout, black-clawed hands and feet, and a tail to match. Her eyes retained their old shade of blue, however.

Location: (undecided, probably in the Northeast)
Settlement: (undecided, most likely a drifter)

Profession: Retail grunt in a high-end clothing store by day, legendary thief by night.

Skills: Sneaking, lock-picking, sleight of hand, deceptive, hand-to-hand combat, scavenging, jury-rigging, decent shot with a crossbow.

Powers: Previously a regular human with exceptional skills, her mutation from the alien plague has granted her some interesting new abilities. Despite increasing in height and mass, her new reptilian form is perfectly suited for her, retaining all her old flexibility and barely impeding her sleight of hand and sneaking abilities. Her stronger reptilian muscles have given her the ability to jump higher and run faster then before, and if she can't make a clean getaway, her enhanced strength, complemented by her sharp claws and teeth, are handy for fighting her way out of trouble. Her new scales are also tougher then her old skin, able to deflect a glancing blow from a blade or even a bullet, if she's lucky. She also has minor control of the coloration of her scales, like a chameleon, but this is largely a useless cosmetic power as even if she had enough control over it to blend in with her surroundings, she would need to be entirely naked for it to be effective. Until that very strange day when she's forced to sneak around in the buff, she'll normally just uses it to match the color of her outfit more closely when she needs to hide.

Weaknesses: Nightscales is cold-blooded, both literally and metaphorically. While her supervillain outfit is insulated enough to give her some temperature protection, spending too much time in cold temperatures will cause her to slow down drastically as her muscles start locking up, and if she doesn't get warm soon her body will eventually shut down entirely, leaving only a small window to revive her before she freezes to death. Also as a result of her unique physiology, it's pretty much impossible for her to hide in a crowd. The shadows are fine, but being a giant lizard, it's pretty tough to disguise yourself as a normal human.

Weapons: Nightscales carries a combat knife and a one-handed crossbow on her person, but uses them mostly for utility purposes, as she's better at close combat and her new claws work just fine for that. The crossbow, in addition to a handful of actual bolts, has a pair with ropes attached for grappling and a few with noisemakers attached for an easy distraction. She also carries a single emergency smoke bomb, in case things go sour.

Armor/Clothing: Her current outfit is her supervillain costume, a hooded, lightweight custom-made stealth suit colored black and orange, built for sneaking and minimal protection, designed with a distinctive scaled reptile theme. It's still in very good condition, but considering it was made for her when she was a foot shorter and not looking like Godzilla's little sister, it's pretty snug on her. It's still as sneaky as ever, even though she's had to ditch the boots because they don't fit on her clawed feet anymore.

Equipment and Supplies:((Things like food, water, rope, grappling hook, etc.))

Personality: Sydney is cordial and kindhearted, quietly competent, always with a big smile on her face, and always eager to be your friend. And frankly if you believed any of that baloney you deserved to be robbed blind. Nightscales, the real Sydney, is a schemer and a manipulator, motivated largely by greed, and to her everyone is a potential target for a good burglary. She remains cool and collected even in the most stressful situations, never letting her emotions take control of the job at hand and always ready with an exit strategy. She also harbors a particularly intense hatred for authority figures and the wealthy elite, believing them to be corrupting tyrants who deserve to be subjected to her own brand of "justice by other means". If she loves anything more then making a clean getaway with a massive payday, it would be leaking confidential files to the internet and watching those Wall Street fat cats jump from their office windows when their fortunes evaporated.

WIP for my character, still need to add the history and a few other tidbits but the rest of it is pretty much done. The general idea for the history is that the villain Nightscales is a legacy villain who passed on his identity, and that the fourth Nightscales trained Sydney to take his place. Think the Dread Pirate Roberts.

And for the record, my choice of avatar and supervillainess both being a lizard is merely a coincidence. I usually use a catgirl anyway. :P

Man though my guy is sorta... I can't really describe it, in comparison to everyone elses' guys/gals. Y'know, not really weak but powers are sort of 2weird4u?
