It's pretty darn good, just keep in mind the first season's best episodes are the first two and the last, since those were the only ones written by Gen Urobuchi. The second season has the better soundtrack, but it sort of fizzes out towards the end. Also, Inaho becomes the definition of overpowered. You thought Kirito was OP? Second Cours Inaho is a whole new level. Still highly recommend it, one of my favorites!

A crime. I almost enjoyed it more than the entire first season of SAO. If it weren't for most of the first arc being so good, because of ALO, I'd easily say GGO is the best. GGO's plot isn't the best in some areas, but it did manage to get back that "death is a true consequence" feeling from the first arc. Plus, guns. Guns every where. Mmmmm, guns. Did I mention guns? Sinon is cute as well.
Now I must confess, I never got past the GGO arc in the second season. That filler arc where they got Excalibur or something was just so utterly boring it lost me within an episode and a half.

I'm interested but I read through the profiles that have already been submitted and two of them included bows. While guns existed in GGO and bows existed in AOL there were no such specifically ranged weapons in the original SAO. If you are adding them in, that's fine. I don't actually have a problem with it. I actually would be more interested since I prefer archer classes and firmly believe in the power of support fire. Still, I wanted to know for sure whether that was oversight or intentional.

That's a good point, it was something that was sort of bugging me too. Let's see what the GM thinks.

It's always up to the GM but it would add an interesting twist. The downside would be that it would definitely make this an AU as opposed to Canon. It would open up bow skills though, which can be awesome. It might also allow larger, field scale, battle scenes with dozens of monsters at once. That would normally be impossible for five or seven person parties to beat with only melee weapons.

That's definitely true, the lack of throwing weapons in SAO certainly made the show interesting to watch when it came to close-ranged battles, but from a writing point of view, a larger scene can be not only a lot more fun to write, but also a lot less hectic, as we won't have as many potential instances of characters bumping into each other trying to slash away at a certain monster. Plus, guild battles... *_*
Heck, I'll put my vote in, if there's a vote to be made.

I have a couple drool worthy options like combining a high piercing skill with a homing skill. Nothing quite like hitting the same target six times with the same arrow. Then of course there's scatter shot/multi-shot and arrow rain. Hmm... happy place.

I want my character to be more of a in-the-back type. Like a merchant or peddler or something like that.

So kinda like Lizbeth? Limited combat ability but high special skills and some influence over item or money drops?

Your weapon set makes a lot of sense then, being defensive and with a bit of extended reach. You wouldn't just be protecting yourself but all the gear and materials that you'd be carrying.

So I'm getting pretty excited for this, but are we waiting on anything in particular? Can we just start? I haven't seen the GM around here in a few days, starting to get a bit worried... D:

Sorry I've been gone, y'all~ weekends mean my brothers monopolize the computers.

As for the bow question, shall we take a vote? If y'all are okay with it, I'll allow it.
