[IC] Pokémon Hoenn: α and Ω

The first battle of the Battle Rounds was on. "Delcatty, let's dazzle the audience!" Shiranui's opponent sent out a Delcatty and he scanned it with his Pokédex.
"Delcatty, the Prim Pokémon and the evolved form of Skitty. Delcatty prefers to live an unfettered existence in which it can do as it pleases at its own pace. Because this Pokémon eats and sleeps whenever it decides, its daily routines are completely random."
"Zoro, it's ninja time!" Shiranui sent out his Zorua and the battle was on.
"Delcatty, start with Double Slap!"
"Zoro, Attract!" The two Pokémon charged at each other. Zoro did a forward somersault in the air and donned the guise of a Luxray. The disguised Zorua let off a flirtatious cry and Delcatty fell in love and thus was unable to attack, costing points.
"Delcatty, Sing!"
"Zoro, Taunt!" The Zorua switched illusions, this time looking like a Sableye. Zoro turned around and smacked its rear, sending Delcatty into a rage and preventing it from using Sing. Delcatty's coordinator suffered another loss of points.
"Delcatty, Assist!"
"Zoro, Swagger!" Delcatty raised its paw and from the orb that glowed sprouted a Shadow Claw attack. Zoro switched to a Delcatty illusion of his own and strutted around looking more regal than the real Delcatty. This sent Delcatty almost into a berserker rage. One minute was left on the clock and Shiranui barely lost any while his opponent's points were reduced to half.
"Delcatty, Double Slap!"
"Zoro, Dark Pulse!" Delcatty was fuming as it tried to deal with a feeling of love for the Pokémon that kept upstaging it while Zoro took advantage of the opportunity and fired a Dark Pulse. Delcatty was blasted and knocked out. Crosses appeared on the judges' screens, declaring a knockout and Shiranui advanced to the semi-finals.

Khuda who was in the audience watching shoranui's performance clapped for him with clear eagerness to do so. She thought his fight was outstanding! Once he was done she continued to wait for the next battle. She took mental notes of what tour do in a fight based on the display he saw before her just then.

The middle two battles went off with their trainers winning. Liam was up next. They sent out a Teddiursa while Liam called Grimm back out.
"Grimm! Double Team!" Liam called. Grimm made many copies of himself as he gracefully bounced around the stage.
"Fient Attack!" The opponent yelled. Teddiursa jabbed at Grimm, the projectile attack curved to hit the real Grimm, making Liam lose a few points.
"Telekinesis!" Liam called. Teddiursa was lifted off of the ground, much to its dismay. As the Teddiursa began to freak, its trainer began to lose points.
"Now! make a cyclone of Blizzard!" Liam called. Grimm and his duplicates began to spin around where Tediudra was suspended and screaming. They all launched the ice attack, resulting in the Tediursa being frozen in a huge block of ice.
"Power up Punch!" Liam called. The jabs of increasing strength smashed the surrounding ice, sculpting it into a giant Tediursa statue, causing the opposing Co-ordinator's points to drop even more. The clock had just passed the :45 mark.
"Now, Hyper Beam!" Liam called. Grimm dismissed his copies and fired the blast straight though the chest of his ice sculpture. Teddiursa was sent flying a short distance and crashed next to its trainer, out cold. The Judges all had crosses on their podium and Liam advanced to the next round. He praised Grimm for the good job and gave his opponent a Max Revive for them to give to Teddiursa.

Lance watched in awe as he saw Liam and shiranui's performances. "Those guys are amazing" Lance said

It was now time for Shiranui's semi-final match and his opponent sent out a Mawile sporting pink bows. "Mawile, the Deceiver Pokémon. Don't be taken in by this Pokémon's cute face—it's very dangerous. Mawile fools the foe into letting down its guard, then chomps down with its massive jaws. The steel jaws are really horns that have been transformed."
"Zoro, it's ninja time!" Shiranui sent his Zorua out and the battle was on.
"Mawile, start with Growl!"
"Zoro, Taunt!" Zoro donned a Gengar illusion and pulled a rude face, making Mawile angry and preventing the deceiver from using Growl.
"Mawile, Fairy Wind!"
"Zoro, Fake Tears!" Zoro switched guises, donning a Cubone illusion and started to turn on the water works. Mawile tried to conjure a Fairy Wind, but Zoro's display flustered both Mawile and its coordinator, costing big points.
"Mawile, Play Rough!"
"Zoro, Incinerate!" Zoro switched guises, this time looking like a Delphox. The disguised Zorua made a series of cries that passed as an incantation, but to Zoro was really gibberish; all the while making arm movements and pointing a black ebony stick at a charging Mawile. A vortex of fire issued from the stick. Mawile tried to dodge the attack, but Zoro followed Mawile's movements and the deceiver was inundated by the flames. Mawile fell on its front knocked out and the judges' podiums all had crosses on them. "Never outfox a ninja!" said Shiranui as he returned Zoro. He made it to the grand final and figured he'd be facing Liam.

Liam cleaned up shop in his next contest battle, Grimm elegantly battled a Grovyle, and depleted the opposing Co-ordinator's points with :01 to spare.

Lance was enjoying the contest so far, maybe he will join one in the future. He really wanted to know who the winner will be between Shiranui and Liam, they both have been crushing the other competitors.

Shiranui mused over strategies for the grand final battle. He knew Liam was no slouch at battling having faced him in higher-level competitions and would need to be at his A-game.

Liam was ready for the final battle. Liam had been admiringly toying with previous opponents, but Shiranui was a capable trainer. Liam took his place and was ready.

The clock began and Liam sent out Grimm the Dusclops.

"Zoro, it's ninja time!" Shiranui sent out his Zorua. "Start with Fake Tears!" Zoro donned a Cubone illusion and put on a crying performance worthy of Poké Star Studios.

"Double Team into Power Up Punch!" Liam called. Grimm made his multitude of copies who all elegantly did backflips, ending with a pivoted jump with a twirl, and raining down with the fighting move.

"Protect!" Zoro switched into a Shield Forme Aegislash illusion and repelled the punches, costing Liam some points.

"Confuse Ray!" Liam called. Grimm and his various copy fired the beam toward the opponent, all of them were coming in with precision timing.

"Taunt!" Zoro switched into a Sableye illusion and smacked his rear, sending the various Dusclops into a rage and dispelling the Confuse Ray.

Liam's points dropped more. 'Shadow Sneak into Dark Pulse!" Liam called. All of the Grimms snickered as they seeped into the ground. They zoomed across the ground flawlessly criss crossing without colliding with one another and firing the Dark Pulse back toward the shape changer. An elegant maneuver that dropped Shiranui's points by a small amount.

"Time for a little Payback!" Zoro donned a Dusclops illusion of his own, blending into the crowd of Grimms and giving some of them a knuckle sandwich.

Liam's points dropped due to Shiranui's clever way of maneuvering with Grimm's movements. "Power up Punch!" Liam called. Grimm did a backflip and zoomed toward his doopleganger. Since it was intact a Zoura and thus still weak to fighting moves, it would do a lot of damage if it hit.

Zoro was hit for quite a lot of damage and his Dusclops illusion was lost. Shiranui's points took a hit as well. "Dark Pulse!" Zoro donned a Krookodile illusion and fired an orb composed of dark energy rings imbued with vengeful thoughts.
