Cody nodded, knowingg the risk Gerswhin was, but he trusted her. He knew though that that wasn't enough-she needed to trust herself. As they got nearer, Cody gave her a hug, and then Caits. "Don't land. I can make the jump"

He went to the door of the carrier, and judging the drop, he opened the door, leaping out. He seemed fearless, when in fact he was full of fear, but this was something he had to do. He couldn't risk the plane landing and being destroyed.

He landed with a crack of bone, a flash of sicking pain, and he crouched fo a moment as his body healed. Rising, he tilted his head, listening before he started to walk. The blind young man walked smoothly over the new terrain, appearing to not have any difficulties doing so. He moved around the golems, light a shield over him, he seemed to glow a light, calming yellow, his eyes shinning as he took every in. A song, slightly mournful, feel from him, his words rippling out and extending far and wide.

He bowed his head, his hands in his pockets, unworriedly about being hurt, he let his walk sway slightly, and the glow fading from him. He walked, waiting for something to happen.

The roads were uneven and every step seemed too delicate that the slightest motion called for caution and wear. Cody would move so smoothly and calmly - but even he could not overcome the challenges he was to face without confrontation with the enemy.

The city of Siem Reap was almost entirely leveled - not a building was spared, each a victim to terraformation that made the hardened earth underneath all the infrastructure move like a paste. The streets were cracked, crevasses so deep you could feel the heat from down below, precious gasses, waters, and metals unleashed. There were hectares of land that were unnaturally bent like crumpled paper, folds so high and steep one had to navigate around to continue their journeys. Stone Soldiers and Golems were still present, but they were no longer aggressive to anything. Not anymore, since everything in plain sight was destroyed, and any remaining survivors - lucky as they were to evade their initial doom - were going to die in the natural destruction anyway. The air was dusty and still with sediment and dirt windborne. Cody had no problem seeing through this, and he could see something amazing.

The Stone Golems were moving together, headed for somewhere in common, a hivemind in effect as they all moved towards the amazing sight that no one could ignore.

Angkor Wat was already an astounding monument despite the wear and tear over the years of endurance from the natural climate and reckless vandalism. Its cobble walls were carved with drawings - stories of legends, heroes, and gods of the Cambodian tradition; every surface was ornamented with incredible detail; its huge encompassing walls were damaged but menacing, surrounding a large moat, all with the one critical bridge. It was left in its state to keep tradition and showcase its culture and history to the world but it was ultimately capable of being a bastion, ready for war - exactly what the twins had in mind.

The twins wanted to make a statement with the incredible power towards the cruel world that was out to get them. If the two were going to be neglected in their time of need where they needed them the most, where their loved ones were killed off, and even trusted figures were sly and corrupted, they needed to strike harder. There had to be that fear and tremble that they felt. Fear was a powerful tool, and it had to be accompanied with the necessary power and image. Angkor Wat's damage was restored, and every act of vandalism was erased. Everything was perfect. The cobble was replaced with the precious metals trapped below, and the temples now shone with an incredible metallic golden sheen. The Stone Soldiers and Golems were stationed in the large miles of once green grass, now beautifully tiled smooth stone. Components of the army stood still, symmetrical in formation, donned in metal and stone armours. It was a sight to behold.

(Reference)

Gershwin and Caits saw the spectacle from the cabin's windscreen and could only gasp and stare as she felt horrified.

"..ho-..... how- ... how do you stop that...? How can anyone stop that? How can Cody stop that?"

Dynamic imaging on the high-tech windscreen zoomed in on Cody who was making his way to the monument. The camera panned to the moat of the temple, now drained of its huge supply of water, and from the earth crawled out more and more stone soldiers. At this rate of production, the entire temple would be filled with units on standby. Even if Cody could do his most powerful move, there was no way he could stop a most powerful army.

Though she could command the many minds that she was controlling in the whole of Cambodia, Dara could not extend her powers through her puppets, and only lend their senses to feel what they felt. Off the corner on one Stone Soldier's solid eye, it/she saw a figure moving in a motionless scene. The twins rejected it as another victim to be dealt with, and passed on several Stone Soldiers to finish him off.

"Oh God, I don't think he sees them coming. We have to warn him! What do we do?!"

The uneven ground caused Cody to sway, but he never once lost his balance. He was well aware that there was danger all around him, but Cody didn't let that phase him. The way the earth moved was not to be thought about, and the enviromental gases and minerals wove together to create a unique scent that began to overpower cody's senses. Cody's step was sure, and he never once stumbled nor pressed his feet where he could fall into the immense darkness of cracks. Cody could feel his lungs constantly healing with the damage the air was doing to the fragile organs. With each breath of air, a small spark of energy would zoom off to fix the damage, replacing the damaged lining.

The stone golems around him were daunting, to say the least, but Cody wasn't afraid. Merely...timid. He kept the graceful, balanced walk, his long strides eating the unstable ground, and his voice echoed out over the area, a mournful sound that was nevertheless hopeful, as he continued on his way. while he could not see the golems, cody could hear them coming for him, and the young man gave no sign he even knew they were coming, trendils of light moving about with his steps, snaking through the ground towards the oncoming creatures, weaving a veritable net that rose to encase the stone beings.

Cody continued walking, not harming the beings but seeking to stop them from harming him. He wanted to show that he was like them, and not only that, that he didn't want to harm them. His skin glowed slightly as he continued to walk, continued to sing. He wasn't going to turn around, simply because they sent minions to try and deal with him.

"maybe it's not so much stopping it as it is...convincing the twins that they would be in safe hands with Cody. If anyone can do it, cody can" Caits said, keeping the plane level.

"We believe in him, Gershwin. That's what we do"

Dara saw through the Stone Soldiers' eyes as their world was flipped upside-down. The details weren't clear but she could definitely see his glowing tendrils working out from around him, and knew that this man was a phenomenal being, someone a lot like them. Dara shared the vision with Thy while he was still focusing on his giant army.

"គាត់ជាដូចជាពួកយើង។ | He's like us."

"គាត់មិនមែនជាពួកយើង។ | He's not us."

"តើយើងត្រូវធ្វើដូចម្ដេច? | What shall we do?"

"តើគាត់នឹងធ្វើយ៉ាងណា? | What shall he do?"

"គាត់នាំយកមក។? | Bring him in?"

"កំទេចគាត់ | Crush him."

It was an odd conversation, almost hazy and controlled - unlike their usual mannerisms, unlike their usual selves.

The Stone Soldiers entrapped in the tendrils were struggling, trying to wrestle free from the vices of a luminescent kind but now by command, they froze. Unmoving was they except for their heads which followed Cody wherever and however he went. A rumbling could be felt through the earth, a sensation so light only Cody could perhaps sense it before it happens. But even he will have to be quick with what happens next.

The first hand sprouted out fast and grabbed onto Cody's arm. The next one was coming. Underneath the ground, hundreds more. Shards of earth shot out from the ground, about to pierce Cody's torso.

Cody felt the ground move beneath him, the slight change in his balance letting him know that something was happening, was going to happen, and he stood, listening as hard as he could. As the hand spouted, grabbed him, Cody swung himself up, closing his eyes, and listening to every little movement that was near him, and he shuddered as he felt the shards of earth begin to shoot up, try to pierce him. twisting in the air, he kicked out at the arm that held him, strengthing the blow with his light to shatter the earth, he opened his eyes again, using the momentum, he grabbed a shard, twirled himself around, and up into the air. By shooting light down below him, Cody could propell himself upwards, and out of harms way, could shot himself off in the direction he wanted.

It was clumsy, and more then once he tumbled head over butt, before he gained some sembellance of control, keeping his heart steady, he formed a thicker armor around himself, leaping through the air, Cody couldn't help but let out a joyful whoop. While it wsan't flying, it was damn close, and the blind young man took great joy in feeling the wind on his skin.

Flinging himself, he sent out a concussive blast to shatter the shards, the arms, regretting it, but the option was one of the only few he had. Other then to die. Which...he would do. If he thought he could die. He dropped to the ground, and stood up, rolling his shoulders.

"are you done?" his voice echoed about him, seeming to come from a million directions at once. "I won't hurt you. Please"

His spoken words for compliance and cooperation were in vain, for Dara's powers did not yet extend to lending any of her senses other than sight to the Stone Soldiers. She watched and tried to read the Light Man's lips but could not decipher the language which was alien to her. With Thy's command, the hanging Stone Soldiers crumbled into rocks and dust, falling to the ground with heavy thuds, and clouding the air until the wind cleared the area again.

Over an up-turned road which now formed a massive steep hill, Thy had ordered a Stone Golem to have his go at the Light Man. Thy with a crinkle to his nose and a flex of his fingers raised the earth around the Golem and pierced into it massive metallic spikes, armouring the beast as well as making it heavy. The momentum it would bring would be monstrous and unstoppable. Its size and mass growing exponentially - were it not for Gershwin's own transformation this would be the biggest Anomalous thing to have exited. Thy soon incorporated the same idea to some of the Golems in the army within the confines of the temple.

"អនុញ្ញាតឱ្យវាដោះស្រាយជាមួយបុរសម្នាក់ពន្លឺ។ យើងនឹងអនុវត្តនៅលើជាមួយនឹងផែនការរបស់យើង។ | Let it deal with the Light Man. We will carry on with our plan." The twins spoke to each other in unison.

The monster, now the size of a building, taller than the very hill that was covering it, stood on its hind legs and slammed down to destroy the hill and to clear its path. Rubble blew outwards from the massive explosive impact, and the monster tucked its legs into itself and rolled forwards - the likes of a massive boulder crushing everything in its paths, obstructions easily broken and ignored, its spikes digging up the earth and flailing it towards its rolling direction.

Reference; watch the whole thing for an idea of what Cody is about to deal with

Its speed was impressive, and it rolled with no intention of stopping, picking up and flinging earth with its spikes to the open air, some heading towards the plane that Gershwin and Caits were in. In the cockpit's view, a piece of earth with piping and cables was shot towards the plane at high speeds. Gershwin could only scream as Caits flew them out of the way. The two had no business there, and there was still an army they had to deal with.

"What's the plan for us?"

Cody sighed softly, watching the monstrosity, he stood still a moment, before he began to move. He shot himself into the air, above the thing and began to worm his light aroudn the creature into a prison, solid beams of light forming around the rock formation, as strong as Cody's will, which was pretty damn impressive to say the least, he didn't stop, seeking to harmlessly contain the creature, and not seeking to kill it, he moved swiftly, throwing down light every so often to keep himself airborne, the thrill of flight really quite amazing as he worked, concentrating on both containing it and protecting not only himself, but Gerswhin and Caits as well. '

The light fell where he wanted it, twisting about to dig into the ground, to connect underneath and ensure that the monster couldn't wriggle out that way, and connecting up the top, over the monsters head.

When he landed once more, Cody wasn't afraid, minute fractures and injuries over him healing quite steadily, he stood where he was, apparently not fussed that the creature could have easily killed him. What would kill him anyway? As he pondered that, he once more turned his sights to the twins, his sightless gaze seeking out their light signitures even as he began to move once more.

"please"

His voice seemed to come from everywhere, this time, carried on the wind, a simple call of understanding, of wanting to understand, and of hope that maybe he wouldn't have to fight his way towards them, as he once more began to move, carefully placing his feet, and at times, when it seemed impossible to walk, flying through the air.

"តើគាត់បាននិយាយអ្វី? | What did he say?"

"ខ្ញុំមិនដឹងទេ។ | I don't know."

The twins spoke in unison so much so it seemed their minds were but one powerful entity, albeit a narrow one. Their sights were so set on their current goals that their reason for them was abated. Why were they fighting? They could not remember if they tried, for their power was so immense it overwhelmed them. They had to use them, flaunt them, and project them.

The beast could crawl out and fight its way out of its mysterious shield no problem but instead the monster rolled in place, digging itself down and tunneling itself back to the temple under Thy's command. Slowly but surely an incredibly long and wide underground road led to the heart of the monument which was otherwise impregnable. Cody's decision here should be to make his way inside, and walk to the temple. The ground rumbled violently as the monster dug and dug.

Back on the ship, Gershwin and Caits watched as Cody stopped the giant monster its tracks, unsure if to be impressed by Cody's strength or the monster's - and perhaps the twins' - obvious lack of even trying. Tracking the soldier production in the temples, there was not much activity. Everything was settled and ready for an attack, that it was picturesque and gut-wrenching but nothing was happening. Now was their time to attack. Cody on the ground, Gershwin and Caits from the top. They motioned to move forward. A motification sounded on the aircraft's board and Caits pressed to initiate the call - it was Viccar: "Agent Caits! Make your way to the capital now!"

The country was ruined and devastated, but not all hope was lost yet. The capital of Cambodia stood far south from the the "epicentre" Siem Reap. Phnom Penh was the political centre and therefore the area utmost, most protected, and most valuable. Initial combat was a failure but defenses proved possible when there was strategy and enough firepower from neighbouring countries. Vietnam is just nearby and is likely the next target if Phnom Penh was to fall. Then again, Thailand and Laos to the north are just as vulnerable for the next round of attack but with the way things are playing out, to strike the capital of Cambodia is to strike the hearts of its people.

The sight was impressive. Helicopters flew in and out to cover the perimeter and provide air support to ground military and escort refugees out to Vietnam. The ground was absolutely not safe, and only few soldiers were deployed outside of vehicular coverage. They hit what would reach outside of range for the heavy, slow-moving artillery. It was a miracle that they could even draw breath, knowing that the earth beneath them could just swallow them completely at any time. In the anger and murderous capacity of the twins, there was hubris and ignorance. The humans counted on that.

A heavy rumble started from north of the capital. Everyone moved to ad hoc positions, forming a perimeter at the perfect distance from the political building which stood the Cambodia government and its sacred royal family. The King and Queen stood side by side with its mightiest, bravest, most intelligent and intuitive military generals to fight in the last stand, their most solemn hour: the survival of their people, and their very soul.

Reference; must watch the whole thing.

The beast that Cody had put to a standstill outside of the terraformed Angkor Wat was not the only one of its kind. Hundreds started unburrowing from under the ground, they having tunneled out from a long ways' away. They provided the initial shock and attack absorption as Stone Golems and Stone Soldiers numbered in the *millions* started pouring out of the holes and running towards the centre. Some of the UN's secret projects included mechanized, pilotable robots that would have the manuverability of a man but the firepower of a tank were effectively in thinning out the front, incoming wave, but the problem was there was no wave ; it was an endless stream. The rock beings marched forward without rhyme or reason, all but the overwhelm and devouring everything in their path all the way to the capital.

Any soldiers caught by Stone Soldiers were dragged down into the earth and grounded into a paste. Vehicles too slow to react were either grappled and thrown aside by Stone Golems or crushed by the unstoppable rolling of the Stone Goliaths. Helicopters were getting pelted with incoming debris, and their explosive rockets were just as effective at clearing the march as pouring a glass of water in a forest fire.

The defensive line was loose and its perimeters could be tightened to formed a smaller, more durable circle around the capital, but as expected communication was not getting through some of the destroyed units and the last line was broken. No matter where you looked, they were around you, and no matter how far away you looked beyond them, there was just always more. The army in Angkor Wat was already mind-boggling, but this was realms of impossible numbers. The very Earth was the twins' resource, and they have an infinite supply of it. There was no hubris, no hindsight into their attack. This was meant to shock them into despair and misery.

How could they possibly stop the twins?

Cody wasn't sure that he should follow the sudden path, but there didn't seem to be another option. Gathering himself, Cody carefully made his way to the path, holding out his hands for a little bit of balance, and then carefully walked along the path. There wasn't much that he could do if the twins decided to close the path on him, crushing him. Would he come back from that? He didn't know, but he hoped that by doing this, he was showing that he trusted the twins, and he only emitted a soft glow, on e that helped him place himself, and against the path, seeking to decrease the threat he might pose.

The vibrations of the monster digging enabled Cody to follow the path without crashing into anything, for perhaps the first time in his life, Cody was truly blind. It frightened him, and he swallowed around a suddenly dry throat, painfully. He drew in slow, deep breaths and continued walking, heading towards the temple, knowing it was his only option now.

For the first time, Cody wasn't sure that he would survive this. Yet all he could do was try. Walking steadily, he kept his head up, and followed the path.

[Hr]

There were many things that Caits had seem. The truly amazing things she had seen had been the enhanced beings. The flash bang that had been Cody, taking down big boss. The dragon like being Gerswhin could become. What Dioxide had done, for them all. This transformation of the world...it was awe inspiring. Overwhelming. And she knew that many people would be thinking how could they fight that. How could the overcome it? And she she didn't have the answers.

But Caits had seen many things. Many impossible things. Sometimes, the impossible did happen. That despire meant nothing then the faith she had in her friends. They could win. They could be a stop to this.

As Viccars call came in, Caits watched Codg disappear. There was nothing that they could do. Cody would, if anyone could get through to the twins. She glanced to Gerswhin and spoke.

"We will be there shortly"

She took one last glance at the horror bellow. Before she turned the ship in the direction of the capital.

"be safe, Cody..."

Gershwin watched as the sight before her unfolded the closer they got to the battlefield - though battlefield was a very light way of putting just how much it represented Armageddon. The principal building was in no way the way it was before, but it held as the last bit of bastion there was left that was stopping this army of millions from crushing the line of defense, and continuing their invasion to the next country. May God hope that the next victim had had enough time to prepare for what was about to come.

The royal family's palace had had no time to build walls. Instead, tanks and other vehicles would drive over each other, their debris high and sturdy enough of an obstruction to hold off the Stone Soldiers. Artillery bombing and heavy weapons fire were used to quell the enemy line, but every now and then one would make its way in, and massacre a squad on its own. The battle could be over in an instant had the twins decided to swallow the place whole, drag it all underground. But the fear that was in their very soul, that was the achievement to winning.

Of course, the twins had not counted for other Anomalies. Caits flew the ship on its way to the Royal Palace, firing down tracer, explosive rounds, crippling the monsters. This time there were very of them regenerating from the ambient earth. Why bother, perhaps, when there were so many of them? Take one out, be replaced by a thousand. The Stone Goliaths were slowed down as Caits expertly did her own form of terraforming, making giant potholes in the earth so that the monsters may not roll, forcing them to walk on all fours which was the equivalent of a building walking, which was very slowly. Still, the sight was hectic. Orders were shouted, battle cries, and yells of pain were so loud on the human side Gershwin could hear it through the ship's walls. Very spine-chilling, since the monster side did not - could not - utter a single sound. Their faces unmoving which made them look dispassionate and non-negotiable. They existed just to kill.

Caits was smart, careful not to hover for too long in one position, always moving to ensure every part of the bastion was safe. Of course, when everything was headed their way, it would prove too much for even the best of the best - of the best. A stray boulder clipped the side of the ship, taking off its wing and its entire left side. Gershwin, who was standing by Caits the whole time, was sucked out into the open sky. She watched as the aircraft spun viciously, thrusters still firing as Caits tried her damnedest to crash safely. Safely, somehow, the plane crashed horizontally onto the rooftop of the palace. It did not explode.

Gershwin looked back to the ground for a split second and her gaze instantly met the ground. Her spine bent inwards on itself. Her face was pressed in, ribs shot out from her chest, and legs rested on the back of her neck.

Caits', still strapped in to her seat, could see the bloody mess. Then, there was glowing.

The utter destruction was enough to churn Caits stomach, the fact that it could be done, so easily, to other countries, other lands. Would the twins never stop, until the world had been destroyed? Perhaps this was Armageddon. Perhaps they were the bringers of destruction. She didn't have long to ponder those thoughts, as the ship started to go down, hit. Unable to stop Gerswhin from being sucked out, it was soon all Caits could do to stop the plane falling and crushing her to smithereens. She just had to hope that Gerswhin would be okay. The girl was certainly tough. As she crashed, she covered her head, her breath slammed out of her, leaving her gasping like a fish out of water. When she was still, she opened her eyes, glancing about her, she flinched as she saw the mess that was Gerswhin.

Gerswhin..." She whispered, her chest hurting, her throat raw.

As the glowing started, she flinched. She tried to get herself out of her seat, but she was well and truly trapped, the buckled warped so that she was stuck. She couldn't reach anything to help her, and she wriggled, wincing as her movement caused pain, barely able to keep from coughing as she did so.

"Gerswhin!"

As Cody continued through the tunnel, he tried to gather his power, wrapping it around him in a larger shield, so that, just in case when he got out, he'd be prepared for an attack. Yet when he came through the tunnel, he wasn't. He stood, brushing himself down, glancing about him, the dark shapes that were the stone army were stationary, and he frowned slightly.

They didn't appear to have noticed that he was there, and Cody carefully picked his way about, unnerved. He kept his appearance calm, even as he tried to figure out what was going on. He bowed his head slightly, listening to everything around him.

Soldiers continued to hold the line as the plane crashed. But once the glowing started, there were the few that dared to witness the transformation.

Such a fall from a great height caused enough pain and injury to cause an immediate, and gross change immediately. Gershwin's ribs that protruded, burst from her chest, elongated and grew out to be as spindly, spider-like legs. Her legs that had wrapped over and around her burst and merged together to become one giant mass that would become the torso for what's to come. She began to grow tall as the legs raised the ball of flesh, bone, and blood. It held in place as her body continued to take shape. A cavity formed from that mass, a window to a glimpse of Gershwin May's face - a reminder that there was something humane in this thing. She looked to Caits and, almost contrary to everything that Gershwin has ever said about her detest for her own abilities, smiled.

One of her arms had formed to be a tail with a spiked, pronged end that looked sharp enough to cut through metal. Paper-thin, dragonfly-like wings sprouted from her back in a explosion of pus and blood. The monster's head had a bee's eyes, a beetle's horns, a wasp's antennae, and the jaws of bullet ants. Her entire skin was a glowing ruby red, shelled with hard carapace and furry hairs.

It was horrible. It was disgusting. It was Caits' and Cody's friend.

It began to poise itself as it stood to its highest point, clicking and growling noises like a cricket, its joints creaking and breaking as it reshaped itself to its perfection. Then, it drew breath.

Reference for its scream.

From her scream, it was obvious that in the air there was a feeling of dread so thick and suffocating everyone that heard its scream felt a sense of sorrow. Hopes were down as they faced their imminent death. The Stone Army who had no senses other than sight, continued their tread onward. This was their challenge to the monster.

The twins shuddered. Chills went down their spine at the sight of this monster. It is in the way of their plan. They must get rid of her. Afraid, frustrated, *angry*, they yelled from their throne as the Stone Army charged to take Gershwin May on.

It - she - charged forward, flying to the air before crashing down to the entrance of the compound. There she stood and started killing. left, right, straight ahead, she was relentless. Her bony limbs were blunt, slicing and breaking Stone Soldiers with ease. Her nimble tail flung others aside, some pierced by the sharp end, stuck and unable to get away. Her jaws would open and shoot out boiling blood so hot it melted the Stone Army by the hundreds. But they still kept coming. They would climb on to her and try to rip her apart, some trying to dig and break her, some trying to climb over and past her. But Gershwin would not give. Her pain gave her power as she grew more and more limbs, tails, and mouths to hold them off. She grew larger and larger that her own spider legs could not support - but she grew even more, tougher legs. Soon, she could even take on the Stone Goliaths as she'd melt them with her boiling blood.

Yet, it still looked grim. With an Anomaly on their side, the humans despite their sorrow continued to hold the line. But there were literally millions of them. Could Gershwin really hold them off?

The yell flooded over Cody, and he looked in the direction of the twins. He could see that they were powerful, and Cody knew he couldn't take them both on, even if he wanted to. He bowed his head, and slowly, carefully, approached them, lowering his defenses as he went. If he approached them full of his light, that could easily be akin to....declaring he was there to fight. He looked up, his clouded eyes watching them, his sight taking in everything about them, aside from their physical appearance. He slowly lowered himself to the ground, and he hurriedly moved through thoughts.

Something had angered the twins.

Caits and Gerswhin had been nearby. They could be in danger, and he would do anything to ensure their safety. Even if it meant dying for them. And he would try and save the twins, to his dying breath as well.

"Please"

He didn't know if they could understand him. Which is why he went with body language as well, Non-threatening. And almost begging.

"Stop"

While his voice was soft, it nevertheless carried, full of his emotions, of the fear he had for his friends, for the unknown people out there getting hurt, for the twins themselves. Worry that none of this was going to end well. And compassion. An ever forgiving being, it took Cody a lot to not forgive someone, and the twins were hurting. He could tell that much. They were lost lonely, and only had each other. They thought the world was against them.

And so Cody extended his hand, hoping they take the offer to maybe not be alone anymore.

Caits got herself up, clutching her side, grimacing, taking in the scene about her. Her gaze lingered on Gerswhin, and her fight and she shuddered, before lurching into action. There were still people that needed to be taken to...well, whatever safety there was, and with the stone beings occupied by the monstrous form of Gerswhin, Caits could do that. She could get what people she could out, and she hurriedly set about doing that, urging those she could on, ignoring her own pains, the plane was no option it seemed now, although she did take a moment to stop, and try and contact Viccar.

“We’re going to need transport out of here! And I swear, if you don’t get us transport...it won’t be the twins you’ll have to worry about”

Which, Caits figured, was true, as her gaze fell on Gerswhin again, seeming to become...strong, each time she was injured. She was an unstoppable machine. Caits swallowed. She had no reason to believe that Gerswhin would hurt her, on the contrary, the girl had done everything she could to protect Caits. It didn’t mean that it wasn’t a frightening sight.

Dara and Thy turned their attention to this foreign stranger. The being from earlier. The being with the light powers. The two remained motionless, gestureless, but full of emotion. Their stillness and glare revealed all the hatred and anger at the world.

It was a strange position they were in. The two felt they were getting stronger and stronger. How much should they trust this person? The two watched him speak some weird tongue and make odd movements. Dara searched the being's mind but through arrogance and anger refused to accept the peace that was in this person. What? What? What? What? What? What?

At some point, with how much more powerful they have gotten, Dara assimilated the experiences of being blind, most of this person's memories, and even the ability to speak the English language. Dara had no idea what was going on and Thy took this confusion as an act of defiance and annoyance. តើអ្វីទៅ? តើអ្វីទៅ? តើអ្វីទៅ? តើអ្វីទៅ? តើអ្វីទៅ? What? What? What?

Thy empowered himself. Rocks were now circling the air around the three of them.

"ខ្ញុំនឹងដោះស្រាយរឿងនេះ។ | I'll handle this." spoke Thy.

The platform that Cody was under suddenly flew in at an angle and would launch him outwards and away from the tower they were at. Thy burrowed Dara deep into the tower, deep into the earth for her to survive.

Thy had made steps from the facade of the massive tower they were in, and the steps moved down like an escalator which brought him down majestically. His slow approach to his soon-to-be victim made it all the more menacing. Dara would handle the monster. Thy will handle this one.

Cody bowed his head and closed his eyes. They didn't understand him, they didn't want his help. He couldn't allow them to destroy the world...and yet he wanted to save them. He didn't see an option that was both. As he found himself flung into the air, his body reacted before his mind could truly understand what was happening. Light enveloped him, cradling him before placing him safely on the ground.

"I'm sorry" He whispered, his voice softer then the wind.

He was sorry about having to do this, having to fight them when he didn't want to. He was sorry about having to stop them, but he couldn't let them destroy the world. His heart broke, knowing that he had failed them. Knowing that he couldn't save them, couldn't show them kindness. Couldn't show them, there was still good in the world. It broke his heart, shattering it into a million pieces.

"I'm sorry"

As he faced his would be killer, his eyes able to perceive the light, growing fainter it seemed by the mine, of Thy's being, Cody felt tears sting his eyes, and he didn't try and stop them. They fell, shamelessly, down his cheeks, his heart heavy, his body seeming to be filled with a never endless supply of them.

"I'm sorry"

He bowed his head again, steeling himself for what he had to do.

"I don't want to do this"

His body shook with the emotions churning through him. He knew the boy didn't seem to understand him, knew that there was no way he could convey how he wanted to help, how sorry he was. Nothing. He began to gather light to him, bright, encasing him, letting himself fill to bursting with the bright, light.

Thy was fierce in his stance and just as volatile and aggressive in mind. He could not understand this bastard's tongue. He could be making fun of him right now! Making fun of him! Him!, a literal being of amazing power! He'll show him! He'll squash the bastard!

To have such awesome power in a person who knew how to control it was dangerous. To have such awesome power in a child who still has no complete grasp of what he was capable of.... was reckless. Thy could feel his control of the Earth was absolute, and with a swoop of his hand, he would summon the Earth to roll like a wave of water, the soil and hard earth becoming so smooth and liquid. Then he swept again, and again, and again. Soon, dozens of waves were coming for the bastard, each sharper, harder, and bigger.

Cody’s power reacted in response to the waves of earth, light aiming to crush it in force, even as Cody began to move, light making his steps even more graceful, and sure as he lept into the air, using light to spring his jump so that he moved over the wall of earth waves, towards Thy. He wanted to do this quickly and easily… and maybe bring the boy down without killing him.

A moment of insight slammed into Cody, and he suddenly understood something. The boy was facing him, having sent his sister away. Cody hated himself for even contemplating this… but he could use the girl. And if he’d sent the girl after Caits and Gershwin… Then the girl would be in trouble, especially if Gershwin had lost control.

“I’m sorry”

He whispered again. Light burst like lightning all around them, a flash bomb, and Cody used it to get away from the boy, leaping off the ground again in another light fueled jump. There was a way Cody could stop this… he knew it. Even as it made him feel sick, he knew he’d do it. It was the best for them all. He just hope he’d be able to pull it off.

Thy's eyes burned but he had closed his eyes on time. There was no damage but all he could see, for now, was white. In a burst of power, tall, towering, sharp spikes shot out from the ground. Quick, jagged, and huge. It's hard to remember that there is so much earth under the surface which would make feats like this possible. Entire terra-ecoystems were being played with just at the hands of a little boy. These spikes then became squid-like tendrils and swung around the air and above the ground, weaving past around Thy, and just as crazy around him. Tendrils spun around him in a protective, living armour. He spun the tendrils crazily, hoping to kill the being.

Dara was deep underneath the ground but she was not uncomfortable. Her brother made it so if need be, she could live there long enough, save for hunger and thirst. Dara was safe, and her location was completely unknown, yet her mind was powerful and encompassing. It sought for the insectoid being that was somehow stopping her Stone Army. Dara's mind sensed the soul of the being and realized that it was human. Unbelievable. So much pain... so much anger....

ENOUGH. IS. ENOUGH.

Dara's mental blast was piercing and strong, and she knew it had an effect on the insect. It was dying.

...What is this!? Gershwin felt a sense of pain, the likes of which she had never felt before. It was agonizing, and it felt like the pain was getting worse but her powers were not getting any strong. She was failing. She was falling. The towering, disgusting mass that had held off the Stone Army for so long was struggling and her strength and durability was now being overtaken by the massive number of soldiers.

Gershwin screamed her insect-like, monstrous scream, but there was a hint of human in that cry for help that begged someone to save her life.

There were many advantages to Cody’s disability, to his lack of sight, just as there were many disadvantages. One advantage was that his hearing was greatly enhanced-even with his slight ability to see, Cody’s hearing was just as, if not more so, advanced as any deaf persons. This was, quite easily, due to his powers. As was his heightened sense of touch. Whatever it was, it was what saved his life. The whistle of earth coming towards him, the woosh of air on his skin… it all let him move, all let him know where something was coming at him, and Cody engulfed his own body in light, hardening it to make an armor, he mimicked Thy, creating tendrils of light, like whips, to slash out about him.

Even as he prevented himself from being skewered, Cody was moving towards his destination, and yet not once did he make a move against The boy, preferring instead to leave him. He didn’t want to have to kill him… but if he had to… if there really was no other way… he’d have to.

And he knew he wouldn’t be the same person if he did have to do it.

He continued, and he flinched at the scream. “Gerswhin… “ He whispered, hearing her voice in it, and he charged forward, covering distance easily, propelling himself forward using light, making great bounds.

“Gerswhin!”

He shouted, his voice echoing, projecting it in that sometimes magical way he had. He wouldn’t leave Gerswhin… he couldn’t lose her, not after everything. She was perhaps the only one that understood what he’d… they’d been through. He didn’t want to be alone again.

He landed, with a crouch, bowing his head slightly, and breathing hard. He looked up, looking for Gershwin’s light, looking for the steadily familiar Caits. He stood, raised his head.

“Gerswhin!”

Gershwin was in pain but there was no mistaking that her powers were not helping her in storming through it and making her stronger. Why had her powers activated before when she had nightmares? Her dreams showed a being that was so like her but was different in so many ways - everything that Gershwin was, except the very concept of her existence flipped and it was coupled with every evil manifest for pain, disease, all that is not good in this world.

What little did Gershwin know was the more pain she took, physical or mental, in any way at all, it is not through sheer will via her powers that she lives; it is bringing out her other side. If Cody was the Angel, Gershwin was the Devil... But if Gershin was the Angel... this was the Devil.

Gershwin's mind broke slowly but surely until she gave out... and in her place was her counterpart. Pure pain and terror.

The insectoid form she had taken grew back, stronger, tougher, uglier, and it began to tear through everyone. Gershwin had rage before, and was single-handedly responsible for the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands. This was an even more ruthless version of her manifestation. It did not stand her ground. It ravaged through everything, pouncing and flying, spitting and gnawing, grabbing and piercing and tearing. It played with the Stone Army like toys, and it had no confines, no inhibitions, no reservations on attacking whomever and whatever.

Cody was there to watch, and from behind him, a giant, enormous, hectare-sized hand made of stone was crashing down onto him. The thing that's replaced Gershwin saw the hand... and leapt for it.
