In World War II heroes and superhumans hit the scene in America. Captain America and the Invaders fought the Red Skull and Hitler and helped turn the tide of the war in favor of the Allies. As luck would have it, Captain America managed to beat old age after getting frozen in an adventure in the 40's after the war had ended. Steve Rogers would wake up some time after the year 2000 and begin operating as an agent of the United States as he did during his time in the Invaders, and he eventually joined the more modern heroes as an Avenger. In VI[or VII] Forgotten Heroes we'll take characters from the Marvel library with origins during WWII and bring them at the height of their careers from the days of World War II into the present day similar to what happened to Captain America. In this story the Red Skull will come into possession of the Time Gem from the Infinity Gauntlet during WWII. A time traveler by the name of Franklin Richards will put a team together with an elderly Captain America in the present day comprised of Cap's former crew back in the 40's to take the 'Skull down in the present day for control of the Time Gem. The idea is loosely based on the All New X-Men where the original five X-Men were brought to the modern day in a sort of reboot.

Right now we're currently still accepting two or three additional players. You can take ANY character from the Marvel library with origins during WWII and bring them at the height of their careers from the days after World War II into the present day. And I'm not opposed to genderbent heroes, as you can see with the inclusion of Union Jackie rather than Union Jack. Here's some info on a few teams from the 40's era as well as a much larger list of Golden Age Marvel characters as well as others retconned into having been active in the 40's like Crimson Commando. I'll accept one completely original WWII era hero, but the CS will have to be superb and it will have to fit with the theme. Links with the info...
