Well, Ein is traveling to the dwarven kingdom to go meet with the king, I assumed it was at this point that my character would find out the primary plot point/prophecy about us defeating the evil dude. I assume that via the magic of the dwarven kingdoms underground tunnels that I can pop out just about anywhere and meet up with anyone. So, Ojo's character wants to meet more humans? I would say you two head to where darkwolf is at, meet up there, and I will stumble across you there as well and we can go on our marry ways towards defeating the boss.

That sounds reasonable enough, that by following the "wrong" path through the dwarven tunnels you find an exit to the surface world.

Well I figured I would still go to the dwarven king in order to receive said plot mechanism and then come back up to the surface. I am being guided currently, so it wouldn't make much sense for her to get lost and take the wrong tunnel. Of course, I have a cave vampire lurking and coming after me. I suppose I could have the dwarven guides killed and I run for it and get lost, but then we are all just wandering around in the wilderness together without a guide. Of course your connection to nature might hint us into things, or something along those lines.

The Great Beast has what amounts to a general direction of the Shadow, which is only part of the puzzle as I imagined it. This said, @Mr Rage, if you have a plot device you want to acquire, feel free to - I would say it would work well for you to capture it, then have your entourage attacked and forced astray through the tunnels. That way we have yet another villain, a vampire, an item you needed and only one step closer to the Shadow, but at the same time, far from any true successes.

I worked both some writing and character magic to accelerate travel through the forest, leaving us two - @Ojo chan 42 and myself - in a place where any encounter could credibly happen. The alteration just only now having run out, the Great Beast has only recently returned from feeding itself.

I am at work for the next few hours, so if it is slow I'll put up a wall of text explaining whats going on below the earth and get me near you guys. I was planning on doing it over the course of a couple of posts to break it into smaller, more digestible chunks, but I can do it in a one shot and ad a TL;DR in a hider for those not wanting to read all the non-important bits.

If it isn't slow, I'll try to get that post up either tonight once I am home, or tomorrow morning. So expect something from me in the next 12-16 hours.

I shortened it a bit to make it easier for me to write. I figured that me going all the way to the dwarven king all my own in a single post would be taking a big chunk of the potential playable story line out. So the TLDR is this: Ein goes into the tunnels, after two days of boring travel, on the third day one of their group is turned into a vampire ghoul, he takes out the captain, everybody else scatters. Ein is left to run for her life her self and starts to escape before being confronted. Zeke breaks the tunnel on them and they make their escape. After an undisclosed amount of time traveling, Ein and Zeke find themselves in a somewhat forested clearing near a stream.

I left that open for you guys to indicate how you would react to an elvish girl and a obsidian golom wandering out in front of you suddenly.
