Well it's only so that she has some form of defense against Kido users xD But she tries to not use her shikai so it shouldn't be much of an issue o3o She is a noob when it comes to actual Kido though so yeah xD

_Personality

Brash, aggressive and assertive, one flaming passion Rei has is definitely fighting. But not to kill, nor to always win over the opponent, but for the mere thrill of it. She's a slave to the adrenaline rush of a good fight; to the feeling of giving all that she has without reserve. Generally she might not seem the brightest knife in the crayon box, but that doesn't mean she is utterly hopeless. If anything her dimness is a front in order to help herself relax and loosen the expectations of those around her, for her. However, in any situation that demands her attention, she'll learn and use her mind along with her gut instincts. Rei is certainly more of a practical learner than a bookworm. She is also rather observant of the people she speaks to. Even though she rarely alters her personality to suit others, she pays attention to mannerisms and personality patterns, however often she uses this information in a not-so-productive way; to insult others or give herself leverage.

_History

Leaving the academy a good 80-or-so years in the past, originally Rei was pushed towards joining the Second Squadron due to her highest strong-suit resting within her strong Hakudo skills.

Rei wasn't an over achiever, not by a long shot, however she boasted in her ability to pick up Hakudo moves relatively quickly and her overall enthusiasm in putting these skills into action. Hakudo was definitely her most favorite area to practice.

With this said, Rei made her way first to the Second Division in order to apply. Once there, she met with the Captain through a quick glance. Not wanting to waste any time, Rei entered the induction and followed the Commander's instructions... She hated it. This squad didn't give her any room to be creative! To square up to her opponent in a full-blown, unadulterated confrontations. They were more about sucker-punching behind the enemy's back without even giving them a chance to challenge you. When it came to choosing the finalists, the feeling was mutual when the Captain turned her away as she was simply not suited for their purpose. She didn't argue, her pride was perhaps a little singed with the blunt rejection but, on the blindingly bright side, that only left her with the choice to choose for herself without getting any slack from her former mentors. And thus, Squad Eleven was obviously her next stop!

It was completely for her, everything!! She didn't actually mind using her sword here, but she'd always fight without it whenever she could. The blood, sweat and tears drawn out from the members of the squad through vigorous training the ruthless Kenpachi shoveled onto them, gave Rei such a euphorically high adrenaline rush she honestly had never experienced before. Never before would Rei work so hard to become a part of something than she did when trying to get into this squad. She used her Hakudo strength to the best of it's abilities in order to compensate for her weaker Zanjustu skills. And luckily, if you work hard enough for it, you'll get it.

And she got in!

Rei wears bandages over her chest in order to flatten it as she feels the protruding body parts are always in the way. Usually she's of an average bust size for her frame and noticeably a woman if she wore tight clothing, however her Shinigami uniform along with her bandages help her cover and flatten as much as needed.

_{Shikai Skills}

① - Crystal Layers
Rei can crystallise any small part of her body any moment of time with a layer of pure, glassy crystal. This can be used as a shield to block an oncoming attack, or can be used to add to the force of an attack. The cover will shatter after one hit or after landing an attack. Rei can shield up to two areas at a time, but must wait a short while before being able to use the cover once again.

② - Impale Them
Slamming a crystallised palm into the ground, a large, sharp crystal icicle will be forced up out of the ground wherever Rei aims it too. The ground will rumble a little before the crystal-cicle tears out.

③ - Absorb Them Automatic Activation On Shikai Release
As Rei releases her Shikai, Five large crystals will form in a circle formation. They'll swirl around Rei's body, following her and float away from close incoming attacks from opponents. The only purpose of these crystals are to absorb Kido. Once a Kido is absorb, Rei is able to grab the crystal and use it to deflect the Kido back on the opponent. The higher the Kido fired, the more crystals are required to absorb it. If not enough crystals are avaliable to absord the Kido, they'll overload.

Kidos Leveled 1 - 16 will take One Crystal to absorb
Kidos Leveled 17 - 32 will take Two Crystals to absorb
Kidos Leveled 33 - 48 will take Three Crystals to adsorb
Kidos Leveled 49 - 64 will take Four Crystals to absorb
Kidos Leveled 65 - 80 will take Five Crystals to absorb
Kidos Leveled over 81 will overload all of the Crystals, causing them to shatter instantly.
These Five crystals can regenerate some time after use or after shattering.

- Absorb Them, Catch Them! : Variation One
After a crystal absorbs a Kido, the crystal can also morph into a crystal wolf that Rei commands. Once let loose, these wolves will chase and clamp onto an enemy body part of an opponent before exploding into a millions of needle-thin shards of Kido powered crystal. Much like porcupine spikes, these shards stick into the enemy's body before exploding at any random time. The resulting attack would be weaker than if Rei used the simple crystal form, however this attack ensures a close explosion and deeper cut wounds, thus having higher Kidos absorbed would lessen the noticeable depletion in power.

_{Only Five Crystals can exist at once. A Crystal will regenerate after 4 posts each. The higher in power Rei gets, the stronger the Kido she is able to absorb with lesser amounts of Crystals required, along with the shorter time needed to pass before a Crystal regenerates.}

④ - Block Them
Slamming both crystallised palms into the ground, a large, thick wall of crystal will instantly sprout out of the ground in front of Rei. This acts as a shield for some time, however it can also absorb Kido attacks also. This wall would be able to absorb Kido's of higher strength than the crystals themselves can handle, however the wall would instantly shatter once these Kido's are absorbed. If Rei is not able to move quickly soon, she'd be caught in an explosion which would set off as the crystal wall shards start hitting the ground.

With his right index finger outstretched and tilted, a Hell butterfly drenched in the colour of midnight and accented with a cherry-red swirled pattern on the bottom wings, planted it's thin legs in the middle of the perch offered. A message from the Head Captain was relayed telepathically and ended with the butterfly re-taking flight into the Soul Society's clear skies. A Captains meeting was commencing soon and required all of the Thirteen Captains to attend in order to highlight a grave matter.

As with all the other Captain's, Youta Hantaisoku - Captain Of The Fourth Squadron - too attended. He was dressed in the attire meant for the Captains; His Haori the standard bleached-white with black detailing and an insignia stitched into the back to signify the role and status of the ones who's duty is to wear it. Youta stood in his usual spot within he two rows, lending the Head Captain his undivided attention, as to be expected. Saddened by the announcement of the decline in Shinigami numbers, Youta held a straight face, however deep down sighed in sorrow. It was his job-no, his purpose-to heal and retain the souls of all Shinigami... Unfortunately not all could be reached in times of need so those abandoned souls are left to death. He continued to focus on the meeting, now was not the time to reflect. The Head Captain wanted to actively halt these tragedies and do something about it. Youta felt a spark of liveliness light while hearing this. Wallowing within the suffering wouldn't help any soul! What needed to be done was action! His role meant that his responsibility was to Captain and guide the Fourth Squad. He refused to stop spending every single day helping his members, and those outside of his squad, to reach their goals step by step and give them the strength in skill to defend themselves when the time called.

After the meeting, the Captain gave a small bow to his superior; the Head Captain, unlike a few of the other Captains. They might of not felt it was necessary, which Youta wouldn't argue, but personally he felt that respect should always be shown when it was due. The Head Captain deserved utter respect from his Captains for all that he had done, not only for them but for the whole Soul Society.

Turning towards the door, Youta casually walked out, in no rush. He spotted a couple of the other Captains conversing, and then the Squad Eleven Lieutenant appeared out of no-where to strike the Eleventh Captain. As expected, the Captain had displayed incredible control and thus amazing skill. Youta couldn't help himself, he had to chuckle. 'What a wonderfully-spirited Lieutenant, trying to help her Captain stay sharp. Not that he needs the help clearly. Fascinating~' He thought to himself as he chuckled while he walked. There were so many interesting personalities within the Gotei Thirteen, each and every day was always different which made Youta's life rich with experiences. He wasn't one to turn down an experience after all.

Well I actually think he'd really like your squad, they'll always need help and give him a chance to use his abilities often, as well as a chance to praise his squad members when they do a good job xD And my guy isn't afraid of a good time! Although he's not an alcholic, he'll still drink with yours if that's what Kenshin feels like doing xD
