A man with several different personalities who are all in-fact, separate spirits in one body, but they claim that they are all the same as the modern character, a boy named James Charles Phillips.
Kenneth DuvallA man who ran into supernatural trouble by defending an homeless man, young teenage girl and her little brother from a gang of Satanists. He is a master of the Katana, an expert marksman, very hardcore survivalist and extremely resourceful. He knows how to fight enormously well with his bare hands and feet as well, making him a far more than decent martial arts fighter. His intelligence is extremely sharp, he has sharp wits and a body to die for.
Kenneth Duvall killed ten men who tried sacrifice three people when he was a thirteen year old teenager. He didn't have his martial arts ability or marksmanship yet, but he still had enormous skill with his katana and a gun that one of the drunken gang members had dropped in a drunken stupor. He struck at the enemies in the shadows, not being seen, but he eventually killed the last enemy. He was hailed as a hero in the media, he claims, but James has never heard of the story in the media. Kenneth believes that all of James'es personalities may be himself in different dimensions.
When he was nineteen he slept in his bed finding himself in a nightmare as he was chased by an evil smiling dog, a strange, "Slender Man", a bleeched faced smiling "Jeff", and was trapped in a corridor where all three were coming at him at once. He woke up screaming in terror as the Slender Man put his limbs around his body. Kenneth discovered he was in James'es body when he woke up.
HaroldAn old man, killed in the Middle Ages for the crimes of poisoning villages, devouring children and raising the undead. He was framed for these crimes but is a real Wizard. He knows more about why James has many different personalities who are real people living in him at the same time than any of the others. He isn't sharing any information. He warns others of danger, through dreams, omens, straight out ordinary person to person conversation or astral projection, by seeing someone in person while he's outside James'es body. He possesses a myriad of powers but prefers to keep himself and others out of trouble than actually fighting evil things and earning new enemies. Harold cast a powerful spell to transcend Midguard (Earth), and fulfill his destiny as a wizard, waking up to find himself in the body of James.
Dennis Charles MorrisA young boy who is an innocent child, but a creepy child. He murdered his own siblings and parents, but claims that something forced him to do it. All of James'es personalities agree with the young boy. The young boy possesses mysterious powers, but is the most easily put to terror. He can occasionally perform strong supernatural powers that are related to child hood, such as animating a Teddy Bear into a Grizzly to protect himself, animating army men into real soldiers, etcetera, running away more easily than he should be easy to, teleportation to far off places for protection, etcetera. He can even conjure powerful protectors by calling out for help. Dennis Charles Morris was chased by the Slender Man, nearly killed when Harald warded him off with a spell and banished him from his presence. Harald and Dennis both found themselves in James'es body at the same time, but Harald claims to not remember this happening.
Tory CanningAn eccentric, rich English gentleman living on an island in the Empire during the 1860's. He is an inventor. A brilliant inventor, who has already surpassed Charle's Babbage computer invention. . . His computers are already as advanced as 1940's based computers. (Not a drop in the bucket by today's standards, but by his time, even 1940's technology is kind of Science Fiction). He lived on the island with a few thousand inhabitants. Although he was spoiled, snobbish, and occasionally overly dramatic, he was a kind, compassionate and honorable gentleman. He was going to share his secrets with the British Crown. The day he was supposed to do so he was awakened in the night by a strange unwanted house guest. He may have significantly higher intelligence than the vast majority of people in history, if not at least since the time of the Ancient Greek inventors, such as Archimedes.
He nearly escaped the unwanted house guest, but as he left the front gate of his Estate, he came across his dead guards and the strange growling of a smiling down covered in the blood of his men. As he was bitten into, he found himself in the body of James. He has no magical powers, but he is enormously intelligent.
