Erik had taken one chunk out of a small girl's shoulder. . . his mouth was full of razor sharp teeth and the vampire was struggling not to continue his snack. At this point any vampire would have given up and just ate the entire girl without restraint. The monster turned his head towards John, "Help us!"

This RP is the second chapter of the Academy of Heroes and Villains RP and takes place in an amalgamation of the Marvel and DC comics universes. Before I continue, I'll give a little background on what the Academy was. If you have any question, feel free to ask.

Background on the Academy

In the year 2025 most of the heroes and villains that we know and love have either retired, died, or signed a peace treaty. Some, however, decided to teach the next generation of superhumans how to use their powers. A facility known as the Academy was established in New York so the children of heroes and villains could be given the training necessary to help them control their abilities and achieve their goals, whether those goals be benevolent or nefarious.

In this roleplay, which takes place five years after the events of the Academy RP, our characters have graduated and moved on with their lives. However, the complete destruction of the Academy by unknown forces draws the former students back to investigate. While trying to learn the identity of the Academy's attacker, the alumni uncover a sinister plot that has left young metahumans nationwide dead or missing. Will the friends and former rivals work together to stop the machinations of a shared, shadowy advesary, or will buried grudges, forgotten feuds, and hasty accusations damn them all?

Rules

I'm not big on rules, but to keep things civil and running smoothly, a few ground rules need to be set.

1- No Godmodding. I understand this can be somewhat difficult, bearing in mind the nature of our characters, so I'm pretty understanding about this. However, if I feel that you're godmodding and I ask you to tone it down, please listen. Three strikes within a month and your banned for a month. When you come back, if it happens again, you're banned for good.

2- Keep cursing to a minimum.

3- Keep romance PG-13. Anything else needs to be taken to PMs.

4- If two people want the same parents for their characters, the person that joined the RP first decides whether or not they share. Some of the people from the Academy RP are importing their characters, which means they get dibs on parents. If you want someone as a parent and they're already taken, try talking it out, comics are full of infidelity and one night stands.

Powers: Ben has the combined agility of his parents, fangs with a paralytic venom, the ability to see perfectly in the dark, telescopic sight, enhanced hearing. The downfall of his night vision is that the sun hurts his eyes, and his irides are now red. He has a nanotechnology suit that can mimic both the appearance and abilities of any suit Spider-Man ever wore. His suit can also mimic any type of clothing and gives him the ability to blend into the background. Ben can climb walls using one inch talons that are found on his fingers and toes. These talons are extremely sharp, and durable enough to pierce certain metals. When not in use, they lay flat against Ben's digits, but he can also extend them at will to use as weapons.

Powers: He inherited his father's vast intellect and also has his own unnamed source of wealth. He inherited the ability to emit incredibly powerful pheromones. These pheromones can elicit a wide range of emotions and thoughts in others, and each specific pheromone changes his eye color. While Anthony is aware of this power, he prefers to rely on his intellect and charisma, which causes him to use the purple and grey pheromones more than the others.

Purple: Produces an overwhelming sense of calm.
Gold: Causes others to be in awe of Anthony.
Steel Grey: Causes both Anthony and those around him to base their decisions purely on logic, and prevents them from feeling any emotion.
Black: Paralyzing Fear of Him
Red: Rage Toward Everyone Except Him
Green: Mistrust of Everyone
Blue: Devastating Depression

Anthony thoroughly enjoys being well dressed and has a penchant for fine suits, which comprise the majority of his wardrobe.

Information on Starting

For those of you that don't already have a character established in this RP universe, there are a few ways to jump in easily.

1- One of the staff members, an immortal woman named Kagerou, escapes the Academy's destruction with a group of students and makes it her goal to keep them safe. Your character could be one of these students.

2- One of the graduates named Connor Stark formed a group similar to the Avengers, composed of other Academy graduates. You could be part of this group.

3- You could simply be one of the students that graduated and returned on their own to investigate the attack on their former home and school.

4-If you don't like any of these and have another way in mind, let me know. I'll just make sure it doesn't conflict with anything.

Erik stood in his room, hearing the enormous explosions all around him. . . debris fell down on him, but he somehow survived all of the decimation. The destruction filled his ears and he closed shut his eyes hard, drowning out everything so he could just remain sane. He heard the crying and the deaths of the dying, people in their last moments. He did not enjoy their pain but there was a part of him that felt good, as if his tongue had touched the meat of prey, and he reveled in the agony even as his heart seemed to shrivel and burn in the pain of feeling his friends and rivals alike excruciatingly shuffle off this mortal coil. He crawled out of the debris, noticing no survivors around him. . . there was a dead woman, a young girl, maybe no more than ten years old if that, just laying there, and no one to see him. . . he crawled, steadily towards her, ready to bite into her. . . unable to contain his hunger.

Powers: Manipulation of Shadows, becoming shadows, growing stronger in every way during night, control and communication over nocturnal creatures, reversal of power over vampires, meaning, he can control them, and perhaps harvest their blood for power, not the other way around. And necromancy, raising zombies, skeletons, and other such creatures. He has enhanced stamina, strength, agility, and a very ingenious intellect, more based on "Monk", investigative skills rather than someone who is just intelligent enough to learn whatever they want to as fast as the they want. He most likely has some skill and talent with magic, such as his Mother, Enchantress has, but has never bothered to try them out.
Bio:
Erik Don Michaelsen has a strange relationship with Jackie Estecado. They like and even care for each other in a functional way, but Jackie wants Erik out of his life, not because he's a dead beat Dad or an asshole, but because, despite the Prophecy saying that his son or daughter would claim the Darkness from his Father and kill him was loop holed by Erik's being born through mystical union of The Darkness with the Asgardian known as The Enchantress, Jackie is still afraid of some day being murdered, or at least, killed by his son Erik.

Thus, Erik is heart broken out of one of the few things that can affect him emotionally. Erik can rarely receive very terrifying bursts of out control pleasure through sadistically tormenting his enemies, or sometimes falling in love. . . but for the most part he contents himself to physical pleasures, which, although he is stereotypically obsessed with sex, because of his age, he has managed to restrain himself to culinary delicacies, medically restrained urges, combined with very refined culture's way of feasting, smoking and sometimes things that the TOS wouldn't let me delve too far into.

Yet he does this all in order to keep his murderous rages in-tact. He fears being a suspect of what has recently happened to the school.
