Pantheon/Faith: Shenism and Buddhism

Godly Appearance:
He wears lacquered leather armor, a type of armor superior to plate mail, yet made of leather, developed in Chinese history. He uses his Black Dragon, a Guan Dao, a type of weapon, appearing like a sword on top of a large rod, a cross between a halberd and an axe like weapon. It weights one hundred pounds. His clothing is black, as leather lacquered armor is typically black.

Earthly Appearance: He looks like a normal Asian American in denim jeans and a normal t-shirt of some kind. He can use hand guns or knives.

Personality:
Guan Yu has a strong sense of justice and virtue. He believes in courage and valor, standing up for the weak when they can't fight for themselves. He is a fiercely loyal friend and can fight for them until the end.

Mortal Skills/Abilities: Guan Yu's mortal skills of fighting ability is unmatched, supernaturally powerful and great. His strength is super human and he is a master strategist and tactician.

Immortal Skills/powers/abilities: Guan Yu is a war god and a god of generals and loyalty. His martial arts skills are supernaturally high.

Miscellaneous:

History: Guan Yu was an honored deity for centuries in China as a god of war and protection. He was born as Zhang in China, more than 1800 years ago. He fought for the Shu Han Dynasty for decades until he was betrayed by a neighboring country, the Kingdom of Wu, and beheaded. Even before his time of honor and fortune he was almost unmatched in power and fighting skill, only Lu Bu was better. However, he improved immensely in his abilities since then, even to the extent of being called a god of war.
Guan Yu was expelled from China by mysterious circumstances. The leader of the Shen (Chinese Pantheon) dynasty has kicked Guan Yu out of the country, and thus the Pantheon for unknown reasons. Guan Yu decided to head for Athens.

The year is 2077, the Common Era of Man. The gods of men arise. . . arch sorcerers, great warriors. . . new gods like the old fire, thunderbolts and wintery gods of old, like the ancients knew, and gods of computers, gods of missiles and bio-technological plagues all live on the same globe. There only 1,000 of them in the entire Earth right now. We are among these creatures, beings of such great powers that they can take on the technological governments of the world and destroy everything. Governments hate us or try to control us. People fear, despise or worship us, and some of us prey on each other. The gods of Madness rise from the pits and desolate, still darkest places in the world, through portals or under the darkest recesses of the sea, are we in even worse danger than we realized? Can we overcome? We must because we are THE GODS OF THE EARTH!!!

For lack of better words, normal Human beings become divine beings, suddenly in the year 2075 AD. . . Rogue Government agency(ies) may attempt to hunt these deities down with advanced technology and control them. Office workers slaving in a cubicle may suddenly find themselves capable of enormous powers over nature, a student in a normal High School or even Elementary School can find themselves with obscene amounts of power to destroy their enemies, even house pets could develop insanely great supernatural powers and become smarter than Human beings. This is the year 2075. . . Humanity has colonized Mars for 40 years. . . Recently in 2060, even laser weapons have been made available for the military. In addition, World War Three had been narrowly averted countless times, somehow, miraculously, as if reliving the Cold War over and over again since 2020. Suddenly during these times of peace, Human beings can sometimes find themselves with the ability to teleport without technology, use magical control over fire, ice, lightning and healing, or even change shape and summon weather storms. These people are sometimes worshiped, sometimes feared, and sometimes hunted down and confronted as abominations.

If this role play starts we may start as prisoners under a Rogue Government Agency or even the real government's control. OR we could be independent, or even start our own modern Pantheon.
