Royap selection? Hell yeah count me in. Would make for a nice plot. Even ppl from different worlds could get deep in it, stirring up trouble and whatnot. Also a good base that can pretty much explain all else.

@liferusher So, what about talking about the world our characters came from? We know Subaru can't tell people about his return by death, but he never really explained that he was from a different world entirely.

From reading ahead it seems like Subaru's world is probs similar to FF 10 having the real world be fake and the fake world be real. But at the same time I cant really say it is unlikely both dont exist as "real". Then again this is a baseless assumption I made myself, as I see a lot of parallels between Re;Zero and FFX in some respects.

Well I mean the witches and their cults are really interesting imo, but at the same time I don't really know about opening up on such a segment, as I feel they are too antagonistic and large a threat for fledgling heroes to fight against.

The nobility within the world, despite united under a single banner, constantly plot against one another, which is a one-off sentence from Roswaal, and on the subject of Roswaal, he is pretty much a walking contradiction of magic due to his studies, which is a bit too much of a spoiler to get into at the time, but "forbidden knowledge" in the world tends to make individuals go insane.

Demon Beasts are also interesting, seeing as outside of the protection of towns, some roads, and cities, they tend to prey on unsuspecting travelers or people who have become lost, but if we are spawning in the capital it might be a bit hard to implement this idea to the fullest until we start exploring.

Royal selection is interesting, but not sure your current take on the canon within the world and we wouldn't necessarily need focus on these events.

But yeah idk this is just a short list of a few things that come to mind. Personally I think it would be best to just leave people to their own devices, then introduce something a bit into the story to direct them as someone who GMs a bit often.

Well there are a lot of things foing for the Re;Zero universe which makes it rather expansive and an enire series could be based on singular aspects of these parts. I've read the web novels so if you need any help with anything im down to assist best i could.

@ADamnFiddle I feel like Ryan is going to need to learn from Maria. She may not be super skilled with wind magic, but he'll need any help he can get.

Yeah, i mean she wont be the best teacher in terms of magic, but she can at least do the rudimentaries. Better to learn swordsmanship but it isn't as if she would really part ways with either knowledge to a total stranger. But she isn't so mean to assist a stranger who seems to be in dismay. Might complain a bit, but deep down she enjoys helping others, even if she wouldn't admit it.

Blessings are pretty much class skills in a table top game, except more of a lottery draw based on how much the "world" loves you rather than chosen class. So pretty much RNG. It is rare for a character like my own to get that many blessings, but I figured if we are the "protags" of a story, I could at least give her 2 mediocre ones and 2 okay ones without really crossing the line.

Ryan is probably going to get the crap kicked out of him a few times. He certainly can't handle close combat. It'll be a miracle if he manages to handle a knife fight, let alone swords. Heck, he hardly has experience with moving targets using a bow.

Well Maria would not give the knowledge to just anyone in regards to weapon martial training, but like I said earlier she isn't exactly heartless. More so doesn't really understand how to express her feelings, which is how she got a certain title. It would depend on the circumstance honestly.

Hmm probably the same time. They will all start on different locations in the city so before people of japan get to meet each other will take a post or three.

Oh yeah, I feel that your character and Maria would make great foils to one another, seeing as they have certain aspects which call for mutual dislike of one another, but at the same time I can see a respect grow between them over interactions.
