Umi had been talking to Hiroki, Kaito and Mari for quite some time now, almost to the point where any normal teacher would’ve started whatever course they were assigned to teach by now. And yet as far as education side of things, nothing was happening. Surely Umi wasn’t expected to just talk all day, was she? She wondered…

She approached Goudo, but before she could actually ask what the current situation was, she could hear a very distinct sound coming from the air that had peaked her interest. She looked over to the right, and was quick to identify the source.

"Hey, l-look at the sk-sky!" exclaimed Umi, directing everyone’s attention to where she was pointing.

It was a helicopter, and the grass swayed under everyone’s feet as it drew closer and closer. It slowed as it approached the center of the concrete area, coming to a halt when it was right on top of it, but had not sacrificed any significant altitude to do so. A man could be seen rappelling down the left side of the helicopter. He normally stood at 173cm (5’ 8”); well within the statistics of the average Japanese male. His heterochromatic eyes, one aqua and one violet, surveyed the students momentarily, before he looked back up at the helicopter’s pilot and gave her a thumbs up, signifying that he landed safely. With a nod of acknowledgement from its pilot, the helicopter dispersed, heading in the direction in whence it came.

Unless there were any special guests that the students weren’t made aware of, there would only be one reason why the man could possibly be here within the grounds of Jigokuraku Academy. Chances were, this was the teacher that was absent from the assembly, despite seemingly having dressed for the occasion. He casually dusted himself off, before addressing the students.

"My greetings to you all," the teacher said with a smile on his face, "My name is Uranishi Yataro, although you should refer to me as Uranishi-sensei. I’m here to teach you all about rescue operations and how to successfully conduct them. I’ll also be your science teacher, as well as the designated school nurse."

The fact that he was able to put the word “school” and the word “nurse” together, in that exact manner as he described, without pause and especially while still maintaining a straight face, would indicate that, surprisingly enough, one would find that Uranishi was OK with having that role assigned to him. Then again, there wasn’t another person alive that would be more fitting to fill the role of Jigokuraku Academy’s school nurse. After all, Uranishi was a famous and renowned surgeon back in the day, as well as a competent medical examiner and a respected forensic scientist. There was much more he had to say, so he continued.

"I’d have liked to tell you a little more about myself, but unfortunately we’ve past the point of time in which I’d have the luxury," he stated, "The reason I was unable to attend today’s assembly was because I had to transport a highly fragile item of equipment into my laboratory here; hence the helicopter that was responsible for my arrival. As you may imagine, helicopters have quite the difficulty to procure, especially with ours of school budgets."

With that out of the way, it was time to begin.

"Now then, assuming Goudo-sensei obeyed the instructions of the recent text message I sent him, inside this very forest will lie several dummies that will represent a lost family of civilians. Your task will be to track where they might have gone and locate their exact position in the trees," Uranishi reached into his suit pocket and grabbed enough ribbons for all the students to have one each, all in different colors, before continuing his relay of today’s lesson, "For the purposes of this task, you’ll all form groups of three and collect a trio of ribbons from my person. These ribbons should help us determine who exactly has yet to return. I do have a spare ribbon of each color in the event that any of you would be left ungrouped. In any case, it would pay to take care within this forest. There may be hidden dangers lurking within..."

Of course, some of the students would decide not to read too far into that last statement, despite how ominous Uranishi made it sound. In truth, however, this would be the perfect hint that Sakkaku’s quirk come into play for the rescue mission. No doubt she’d be in position by now, so all that would be left was for the students to group up make their own preparations.

"If any of you have any questions, now would be the time to express them; although I’d ask that you briefly beforehand so I know who you are," Uranishi suggested.

The sound of a helicopter overhead practically demanded the students gathered to look into the clearing blue skies of Jigokuraku, and Azukina was no exception, pushing away from the fence by which she had taken a moment's rest to get a better look. Umi pointed her in the right direction, upward and approaching fast. The marked landing zone was the target, giving ample area for the man who had just rappelled from the side, Uranishi Yataro -- as he would soon introduce himself as --, a safe descent to earth once more. He was straightforward and to-the-point, a quality Yomodachi both admired and respected.

Also... kinda cute.

Back on track, Uranishi went into detail about the class' current task: a rescue mission for dummies. Something told her that these dummies were going to be used a lot throughout the coming year. Looking around, The Field was fairly large, flanked by the natural forest upon which the school had been built on, but the multiple paths shooting off into different directions made the monochrome emitter a bit confused. She'd heard much about Jigokuraku's many shrines, of course, as it was a source of tourism for Kirisama, but given the details and task given to them, it was hard to tell whether the deeper paths would be used.

Given that Uranishi was open to questioning, Checkers took it upon herself to ask the first.

"Uranishi-sensei," began the girl in a clear tone-of-voice, "My name is Yomodachi. If I may, please refer to me by my given name: Azukina." Her bow carries formality which had yet to be seen till now, somewhat telling of her roots, given her father's traditional personality. Upon raising her gaze to meet him, she questions: "Given The Field is connected to the many shrines of this area, is it safe to assume we can travel down the paths that lead to said shrines for this particular task? Or will we be limiting our search area to this forest?"

Perhaps it was a little simplistic to ask, but making sure nobody went off and got in trouble down a route they shouldn't have felt important enough to know. Personally, she would have had the groups go down the side paths first, then close in towards The Field itself, but admittedly rescue wasn't her forte. Thankfully for her, the teacher Jigokuraku got their hands on would be more than suitable in regards to rescue training. The answer she’d receive was reassuring...

"Certainly," Uranishi answered, "There’s no shame in using the paths to the shrines to ensure one doesn’t get lost, although as you maybe aware, you’ll have to diverge from them eventually in order to reach the target zone."

Uranishi would likely take a few more questions before the task was set to begin.
Sure, I'll give this a shot

Interactions: Suzukaze Tamiko (Collaberation between @ERode and Yours Truly :])

While she knew better than to actually react to being called a granny, Tsurushi was confused as to why Tamiko was so quick to address her as such. Did she really just base that off of her attire alone? Why did children always do that? Tamiko evidently had no idea what it would take to be a grandmother at only 32 years old, and Tsurushi was not to be the one to tell her. That kind of information was much too deplorable to dump on an innocent mind like that... or as it would be more correct to say, one that was supposed to be innocent.

Tsurushi was told to go away, but she wasn't going anywhere without Tamiko. She wasn't about to just up and move on with her life while leaving anyone else with their suffering. Not this time. She simply continued to sit with her arms folded.

"Quite frankly, you don't belong here either," she said in a matter-of-factly tone, "And yet here we are..."

...

She said nothing more for the next 30 seconds or so. As it so happened, Tsurushi's mind drifted back to the first time she used her power, when she altered a memory that happened 16 years ago. She changed a single action back then, only to thrown into a brand new Tenoroshi with more doors open than she even realized where there. Tsurushi never understood how exactly her power worked, or what triggered it. All she remembered was the desire to change herself. The need to change herself. An overwhelming, agonizing regret that anchored her to the ground and refused to let up.

Tsurushi had wondered if it would ever go off again, and figured there was only one way to find out; by trying to talk to Tamiko and get her to open up a little, and commit whatever resulted into memory. There may have been something she would learn later and, if her power were to activate, she could potentially put that knowledge to use right then and there. She turned to face the troubled student.

"Look, I'm not going to pretend I know what you're going through," she told her, "People say that they understand how someone feels all the time when they really don't. The truth is... I don't know the full story, but I do know you have problems. That much is obvious. The administration never told me all that much; I don't know whether it's because they don't know either, or because they don't want me involved because I'm new, or... I just don't want you to throw your life away like I did with mine, is what I'm trying to say."

That... came out all wrong. Tsurushi already wanted a do-over right then and there. But that didn't matter right now. All she wanted for the moment was to get Tamiko to start talking. Even if it was a little... and not even relevant to the issue at hand...

Tamiko's eyes narrowed slightly. The young girl clicked her tongue again, crossing her legs as she trained her eyes upon all the other delinquents burning away the day at the park. Inside her sneakers, her toes curled in, then spread out repeatedly, constantly. After another moment, she spoke up again. "Don't tell me where I can't belong." The girl turned towards Tsurushi and stuck out her tongue, before blowing a loud and obnoxious raspberry. "And I don't care what you think anyways."

With that, she crossed her arms and turned away, this time content on watching two punks swing wide haymakers at each other.

Tsurushi breathed a heavy sighed. Children these days; always so quick to turn down what would ultimately be good for them in the end.

"Fine then; I guess you don't mind me contacting the school in that case... or your parents, for that matter," the tone that Tsurushi used wasn't one that was particular threatening, but she wanted those last few words to sink in specifically.

She kept her ears open, but averted her eyes and looked down at her phone, inputting the first number that came to her head. She purposefully held her phone low enough for Tamiko to peer over and see if she could recognize the number, and even maintained a very loose grip on it as she held it to her ear and waited for it to finish ringing. It was almost as if Tsurushi dared Tamiko to slap the phone out of her hand.

But Tamiko didn't have the audacity to slap a phone out of someone's hand. She had something far greater than that: an aggressive indifference that caused her to scoff at Tsurushi's efforts, before saying, with as much snark a ten year old could muster, "Yeah, like that's gonna do anything, idiot. What're they gonna do, suspend me? El-oh-el."

For good measure, she smirked, one corner of her mouth curving upwards as her dark eyes narrowed, before she flipped her bangs in a motion that was definitely borrowed from some celebrity on TV.

This was clearly going nowhere.

Tsurushi had tried doing this the way an honest citizen would, but apparently Tamiko was a kid that would have to be physically knocked down a peg or two. The depressed teacher dreaded the impression of stooping to such a low as allowing her own student to come to harm, but as far as her plan to test the capabilities of her power went, this was the final piece of the puzzle; a deplorable action that she knew damn well she would regret later.

Hanging up so her call wouldn't try to go through any longer, Tsurushi pocketed her phone and got up off her seat, approaching the two goons that had been trading blows with each other this whole time. She laid a hand on each of their shoulders.

"You see that little school girl over there?" she asked in a whisper, her eyes "pointing" to Tamiko before she turned back to face the two thugs, "I heard her say that both of you fight like a bunch of pussies, and she seems to think she can take you on because of that. She also said you two should kiss..."

With that, Tsurushi slipped an IOU note in each of the delinquents' pockets that contained her phone number, before stepping back and watching the chaos unfold from there. All this because she wanted to weasel her way out of making a scene...
@Reflection On second thought, I've decided I'll hang back for a bit. I've seen way too RP's get just as much attention as this seems to at first, only to completely die out the following week or even earlier.

In the off-chance that this is still around by then, I might come back with a solid CS, but we'll see...
@AdmrlStalfos19 Unfortunately, we have decided to say no to half bloods (Particularly anybody who wants to merge with the Uchiha or Uzumaki clans). Primarily due to how they tend to be front-loaded. We already said no to a few people asking about being half-uchiha or half-uzumaki, so it would be hypocritically to accept somebody who is half of both. Even if they do have a gimped start.

...I guess that's fair.

I do have a couple more char ideas, but neither one was as concrete if I'm honest. It'll probably take some more time for me to get one out as a result.
Well this blew up rather fast :/

Unfortunately my schedule's a little too busy for me to get a CS going today, but I still wanna get my Uzumaki-Sharingan girl. If you guys remember, my plan to keep her balanced was to render her unable to naturally cast ninjutsu in any way, shape or form. She'll most likely either not realize how much chakra a jutsu actually needs and not use enough for it to be effective as a result (see Naruto's attempt at a Shadow Clone prior to him getting the Scroll of Sealing), or she'll over-invest in chakra, only for the jutsu that she's trying to cast to blow up in her face. As such, she'd have to rely on taijustu and genjutsu (and maybe not even the latter now that I think about it; we'll see)
@AdmrlStalfos19
The major issue I'd have with that is that the Uzumaki bloodline is already hecking powerful because of their canonical 'near limitless chakra.' Mixing that with the canonically also absurd Uchiha stuff which is only limited by how much chakra is required is like giving a nuke to somebody with the ability to chuck it across state lines. It'd have to be one of those "You gotta discuss it with us" things, simply because it's one of those things that is prone to being abused.

Well, now that you mention it, I do plan to have my char gimped right from the start. Namely, the poor Uzumaki-Sharingan girl would have no capability of learning any ninjutsu whatsoever (which is ironic since she'll have almost no access to sealing jutsus, which the Uzumaki clan's supposed to be known for). This in turn would mean she'd mostly have to rely on taijutsu to actually do any damage and genjutsu to help her close in for the kill. That, combined with the fact that we're dealing with Genins, should knock Uzumaki-Sharigan down enough pegs to keep her balanced for now, and if there're any more bumps on the road, I'll try to smooth nthem out when I get to them.
So... we allowed non-Uchiha Sharingan users and/or non-Hyuga Byakugan users? I have an idea for an Uzumaki gal who would belong to the former, among another couple at the very least.
Sure, I'll toss my hat into the ring.

'Where the hell even is this place?!'

Ishiyama Tsurushi looked all over her current surroundings, searching a highly specific building in the southern district of Tenoroshi, but to no avail. Nothing stood out from all this mess of steel and concrete, which made things all the more difficult to discern from one another. Considering the job she took before becoming a grade school teacher, Tsurushi was supposed to know the vast majority of the city like the back of her hand. However, her life had made a sharp left turn since that day, and that might have had an effect on her memory. She tried to force herself into a recollection, but all that did was cause a headache that only compounded her issues.

Finally giving into the epiphany that she was completely lost, Tsurushi briskly walked over to the closest public seat that she could find; a park bench that had been caked with a suspicious pattern of white across a good portion of where one was supposed to sit. Whatever it was, it was a good thing that it would've long since dried onto the wood of the bench, or it would've ruined a perfectly good dress as Tsurushi sat down. She clutched her forehead with her left hand spread wide, all she could do to try and alleviate the agonizing pain inside. With a momentary glance to her left, however, she noticed someone who didn't belong. It was a girl. Black backpack. Mahogany eyes. Raven hair in the form of a ponytail.

And to top it all off, a highly familiar school uniform.

...

"Tamiko?" asked Tsurushi, wondering if she would get the girl's attention, "Suzukaze Tamiko, is that you?"

She didn't want to be wrong. She didn't want to have mistaken this girl for the troubled 5th-grader that was in her class. But with much of her memory turn asunder like it had been, Tsurushi couldn't be so sure that her eyes weren't deceiving her all this time. Afraid of such a possibility, Tsurushi turned away from the girl again and looked forward, a saddened look across her face.

"Never mind that, you should be in school at this time of day; not out in a place like this," she said in a sorrowful tone.
