Flint

Flint backed up as he continued to wave the chicken high, causing it to sqwak even more, He used his bow to slap any goblins that got too close, kicking others in the chins as hard as he could to break their jaws. The potion Sophie gave him rejuvenated him enough so he wasn’t woosy anymore, along with the fact of his werewolf blood healing him.

He glanced over to see the girl who healed him making her way towards him with a sword now. Her and the crazy dude from before. She didn’t look too skilled with a sword, as she came over, and he shook his head.

“You are an idiot. Put the chicken back in the coop. You aren’t recovered enough from the wendigos to be trying to play hero right now!”

Flint let out a curse she was doing the exact opposite of what he was trying to do. Getting into the fray with the goblins again. ”God damn it woman. I was trying to get them away from you!” He said, though doubtful she could hear him.

He managed to look at her as she had her thigh bit into. Her eyes turning black as their eyes connected. ”Are you fucking kidding me?” He said as he stomped another Goblin. She started to go on a killing spree, and throwing goblins around. Hopefully others didn’t notice she had a sudden increase in strength and black eyes. Most people tended to freak out at a possession. And normally the person who was possessed was just killed later on. Even if the demon was exercised, because they were more susceptible to possession once again.

As the dog man went into his own frenzy, and Saph was running on rooftops, helping a giant of a man on top. He called out to Mishka, who was staying in the tavern because she hated goblins stench. Mishka! Get out of there right now I need you to help!”

”But they stink! I dont want to bite them!” She whined.

Damnit Mishka! Come out here right now! I need you to lead the Goblins away! You need to take this chicken! He growled as he punched another Goblin away.

Suddenly Mishka was by his side, At the mention of chicken she had jumped through the window Saph did a few minutes before. He knew she would do anything for a chicken. ”No eating...till all the goblins are dead’ He said as he tossed her the chicken. Which she caught by the neck in her mouth. But didn’t bite down. Only making it sqwuak even more loudly. She then started to run around with it, the Goblins all getting distracted and chasing after the wolf now. But Mishka was too fast for them for any to get close enough. Giving the others time to pick off the remaining goblins.

He looked back towards Rowyn to see her walking into a ally alone, dragging a wounded goblin with her. He ran down another ally to cut her off, while not drawing anyones attention so he could deal with her himself. He nocked another arrow, and when she came out of the ally on the other side, he let the arrow fly. Killing the goblin in her grasp.

Alone and afraid...

The walk was confusing and where she was left was even more so. Eleanor had been taken all the way to the barracks of the Vanguard and then left in the General’s room by the two guards. She stood in the room, confused for a few moments until two handmaidens came in and told her they were there to help her undress all the while apologizing every few seconds it would seem as they did so. When they had finished undressing her and fixed her hair up a bit, they informed her that someone would be in to retrieve her to take her to where the men were waiting. The maids then left taking the clothing with them and leaving Eleanor naked and alone in the General’s room, pieces of the puzzle now coming together and frightening her greatly at what they were suggesting.

Eleanor hugged herself as she sat on the bed in the General’s room, she had figured out what this situation was insinuating and she was trying to keep herself from panicking. She knew the king was insane but to do something like this? Eleanor wouldn’t have expected it before but now… now she knew better. A part of her wanted to cry and beg for forgiveness but she also didn’t want to humiliate herself. Not when she still had people watching her, looking to her. A third part of her was just numb, this part was growing. Taking over and leaving her without feeling as the reality of everything began to take over. She didn’t know what part of her would win when the moment came, but for now she did hold slight hope she was wrong in her thoughts. Only time would tell.

One does not simply walk into the Vanguard barracks...

When Feneros reached the barracks, he could hear the shouting of the men inside, praising the king and his generosity. The doors to the main hall were wide open, to allow the fresh cool air to come in. With all eyes on the king as he continued speak, on how they deserved this and it will help them defeat the brewing rebellion with this act. He walked in casually, hanging to the walls. With all their attention on the king, it was easy to blend in with the men.

It made him sick as he walked by, seeing how many of the vanguard were so eager to defile the woman who they swore to protect just minutes ago. He quickly made his exit down one of the halls, which lead to the General’s quarters. He glanced around the corner to see a single guard outside the room. He was about to move in and knock the guard out when the door opened, causing him to pull back around the corner more till he could just barely see what was happening.

Two handmaidens walked out of the general’s room. He recognized them as the princess’s personal handmaiden’s, and noticed that they were carrying clothes as they exited the room. His heart sunk for a moment, thinking that she was in that room with another man at the moment. Luckily the handmaiden decided to go another way, and not towards him.

Once they rounded the corner, he moved quickly over to the lone guard. Before the guard could yell, he raised his shield and jammed the edge of it into his throat, crushing his windpipe in the process. The man grunted in pain and grabbed his own throat trying to breath when Fenros followed up with bashing his temple with the pommel of his blade. The man crumpled in place, luckily the noise from the hall made it impossible for anyone to hear what happened.

He slid his sword back into his sheath and bit his lip as he reached down and pulled the man out of the way. Screaming internally as he was forced to use both hands, as much as he could to drag the man into another room. He dropped him onto the ground ungracefully as he pressed his right hand to his chest, as if it would help with the pain. His mouth wide as if he was going to yell, but nothing came from his lips. He did reach up with his left hand to gingerly hold his hand as it began to shake uncontrollably from the pain.

It seemed unnecessary, but if those handmaidens came back this way, he didn’t want them to scream at seeing the guard on the ground. He grunted again as he pushed the pain away and unsheathed his sword once again. Taking a breath, he moved towards the door and shoved it open moving quickly into the room and closing the door behind him. He was prepared for a fight, “Are you alright El-” He stopped suddenly found himself looking at Eleanor sitting naked on a bed.

As the door opened, Eleanor didn’t move not until she saw who had opened and then closed it. She found herself staring straight at Fenros, the man she loved, the man she thought was dead. Eleanor stood up and stepped closer to him, taking a deep breath as she looked over him. He was real, living, breathing, right in front of her. Her mouth hung slightly a jar as she stared at him, she couldn’t believe it but now thinking back on it, it wasn’t surprising that the king had lied.

As she stared, a chill ran over her body and she came back to reality. Quickly scrambling she ripped the blanket off the general’s bed, wrapping it around herself as she faced her back to Fenros blushing a bright red at the realization that he had just seen her naked.

Fenros felt a weight drop off his shoulders realizing no one else was in the room, looking to El, he felt his face grow red as she moved towards him. He was glad she was safe and not harmed...physically that is. Almost in unison he was pulled back to reality, He was staring at the princess naked! As she pulled away and wrapped the generals blanket around her he looked away and placed his sword against the wall. “I..Er...are you alright El? Did anyone touch or harm you?He asked, as he used his left hand to pull his cloak off, and offered it behind him towards her so she could have it to cover up.

Eleanor turned and looked at him as he spoke, she gently took the cloak from him as he offered it to her. Letting the blanket drop, she quickly put the cloak on and wrapped it around herself. “N-no no one touched or hurt me. I’m fine. I should be the one asking you that.” Eleanor walked over to him as the red in her face faded and turned him to face her, she looked over him at his injuries until she noticed his hand that was shaking. “May I?” She asked looking up at him, not quite ready to address the elephant in the room.

He shook his head at her, not believing she should be the one to ask that. When she turned him to face her he took a deep breath, as if doing so would somehow show that he was fine, despite the black and blue bruises all over his body, and face. The burn marks on his chest, and the quivering of his hand. ”It’s… nothing to worry about right now El, I’m fine. We need to get you out of here…” He said softly trying to move to the generals wardrobe.

The woman rolled her eyes as she gripped his arm above the injured hand. She gently placed her other hand on his injured one, barely touching it as she closed her eyes. With a few words whispered under her breath her hand glowed and magic flowed from her body into his hand, healing the break and bringing it to a point where though it had some minor bruising still, it was useable and no longer broken or shaking. Once she was done, Eleanor released her grip on him and smiled up at him. “There you go. Not perfect but better than before, just in case we run into any trouble on our way out.”

Fenros stopped as soon as she grabbed his arm. He should have known better than to know she would have let him go without healing him. He looked back as she began to whisper the words to her spell. He winced and bit his lip as the bones popped back into place and mended themselves. Feeling an instant flow of relief once it was done. He looked to her as she smiled up at him. Which only caused him to smile and feel even more warm.

“Thank you El.” he said softly, as he started to untightened the shield on his right forearm. Sliding it off he tossed it onto the bed for the moment. He turned to the wardrobe again and opened it, quickly finding a large tunic. He placed it in her hands, “Uh- here you go, put this on,” He said with red on his cheeks. He would have given her his tunic, but it was torn down the center.

He looked back to see his personal sword set inside the wardrobe. The general deciding to take his family's heirloom for himself. He quickly grabbed it and buckled the belt to his waist while the princess put the tunic on. He also grabbed another tunic after taking off his ruined one, quickly pulling it on. He was hoping he could walk out of here without drawing too much attention. He doubted it would work, but it was worth a try.

He then pulled his sword from his sheath and asked, “Are you ready?” He asked her without looking in her direction. Not wanting to look till she was ‘decent’.

“Of course.” Eleanor replied as she watched him open the general’s wardrobe. She took the tunic from him as it was handed to her, giving him a quick thanks as she turned her back to him. She quickly removed the cloak, slipped the tunic on and put the cloak back on. Once she was ready she turned to him at the same time he asked if she was ready. “I’m ready, you can turn around.” Eleanor informed him as she watched him. There was so much she wanted to say and tell him but now was not the time with the threat looming so close to them. She’d have to wait until they escaped.

He turned around when she said he could. Giving her a confident smile. He reached out and took her hand in his. “Alright, lets go.”he said softly as he turned towards the door.

Ok, One does not really Simply walk out of the Vanguard barracks...

He started to guide her to the door. Memories of the time he guided her through his castle’s servants corridors, came to mind...the only other time he had held her hand like this. But he quickly pushed it to the side as he opened the door awkwardly with his sword in his hand. After glancing into the hall he guided her out and towards the only exit to the barracks. Through the main hall. “Stay close and walk casually…” he said, almost to himself as they grew closer to the room full of armed men.

He gripped her hand tighter as they moved along the edge of the wall, while trying to look like they were not sneaking. Fenros tried to keep his head down within reason. His heart beating faster and faster as they grew closer to the exit. He felt his breath caught up in his chest as he felt even trying to breath would betray them. When they were about halfway to their exit, one of the guards looked at him and recognized him. “FENROS!” He yelled out loud. Surprised at seeing the recently named traitor standing right behind him. This caused all those closest to them to turn around to see what was happening.

Eleanor moved closer to Fenros as everyone began to turn to look to them. She had hoped they’d make it out without incident but, of course, they didn’t. She feared what would happen to them if they couldn’t make it out of here. Especially now knowing Fenros was still alive and seeing the king at the other end of the room. She had no doubts that she’d be made to watch him die for the king’s enjoyment.

Fenros pulled El behind him and tried to shield her with his own body, as if that would be enough for them not to notice. His sword was in his hand as he was prepared to fight every single one of them.

The king was getting ready to call for the princess to be brought into the room when suddenly one of the men shouted a name he didn’t expect nor want to hear. His blood boiled in rage as he looked to the back of the room and he saw Fenros along with a cloaked figure he could only assume was Eleanor. “Men! The traitors are trying to get away without punishment! Whoever brings me Fenros alive will get the princess first along with more land and a new title. Now go! CAPTURE THE TRAITORS!”

“You still listen to this mad king?” Fenros yelled out right after the king. Lifting his sword more, aiming it at the men closest to him. “How can you all follow a man, who is so paranoid, he believed his own daughter tried to kill him. When you all know Eleanor wouldn’t harm anyone, who has been kind to every one of you! It makes no sense!”/color]

”Are you so afraid for your lives that you are willing to throw away your honor so you can live a few more days serving a madman like him!? Or will you stand up and fight? The room grew silent as he spoke, no one wanted to face Fenros first, doing so would be certain death. They all have seen him fight, they knew his strength. But that’s not all that stopped them from rushining in. Not all the men felt comfortable with what the king offered them, each of them knowing something was wrong, and even if she was a traitor, she didn’t deserve this.

The men shifted a bit, glancing to one another. Looking back to Fenros as he stood, seemingly unafraid of their numbers. ”If you truly are loyal to that madman, come at me, I swear I will kill every last one of you before you lay a finger on my princess.

Seeing Fenros willing to take on the entire room of Vangaurd shook some of the men, realizing deep down why they wanted to become knights of the kingdom. To defend something greater than themselves...to protect someone who deserved their loyalty. In an instant men moved forward Fenros braced himself to fight them all, but was honestly shocked when they got close, they turned their backs to them and raised their weapons in defense of their princess and her guard.

About twenty or so men had turned against their king to protect their princess. As the rest stood in shock, the princess’s guards quickly pushed towards the door, Their sudden aggressiveness had given them the advantage and cut through the vanguard. One of the officers quickly yelled to Fenros. ”Quickly! GO!”

Fenros didn’t need any more convincing, Feeling a surge of hope and pride in the display of honor before him. Most of the guards were the ones who were often the ones who guarded the princess before today. He quickly moved through the small opening the men had given them. He heard the king screaming for them to kill them all, and cursing those who dared betray him.

They managed to slip through, the princess’s guards quickly blocking exit, forming a line to hold back the men. Fenros didn’t want to leave them, but they were putting their lives on the line for the chance that their princess would get away safely.

Seeing the men begin to move towards them caused Eleanor to move even closer to Fenros, but when they turned to face the king, her heart swelled with hope and pride. Watching them as they formed an escape for them and told Fenros and her to quickly leave left her wishing to bring all of them with her. They were willing to risk their own lives for her and Fenros to escape. Eleanor knew the best she could do for them was to go, to escape, but it didn’t mean her heart didn’t hurt for the men whose lives would ultimately be lost tonight for them betraying the king and protecting them. She could only hope that some of them could run and survive.

Grabbing Fenros’ hand, knowing it would be hard for him to leave them behind too, she began to run. Going right through the exit and pulling him with her. If they didn’t escape, the mens’ efforts would be in vain and she couldn’t let that happen. So Eleanor ran, holding Fenros’ hand tightly.

Fenros ran along with her, trying to use every moment the men gave them for their escape. He lead her through the training grounds towards the back end of the castle, where he had left Sierra. They quickly were cut off by three men who were on patrol, who had heard the fighting in the barracks. They drew their weapons and charged at them. Fenros moved forward to perry two of the mens weapons when suddenly an arrow hissed and slammed into one of the men's back. Causing the other two to stop confused. Another arrow hissed again, pierced his shoulder causing him to spin from the force of it and fall to the ground.

Fenros only smiled as the third man ran, not wanting to be the third target. Taking El’s hand they began to run again. Every few moments they would hear a hiss of an arrow and a man scream in pain. If they were to look to the wall to the left they could see a small shadow of a man running alongside them near the base of the wall, firing arrows as he ran.

Soon they would make it to the spot where that same man had thrown down a rope earlier for their escape. Fenros sheathed his sword after making sure no one was close enough and grabbed the rope. He then said quickly. “Hold on tight.” Moving El’s arm up and over his shoulder so she would wrap her arms around his neck. Once he felt both her arms around his shoulders, he started to climb the wall quickly. Quite thankful she healed his hand earlier. This would have been near impossible to do. When he reached the top he looked down and saw the man with the bow climbing up the rope behind him. Who angrily said in a gruff voice. “Don’t stop you idiot. Keep moving!”

Fenros quickly looked over the other side of the wall, seeing the rope and Sierra and annabelle at the bottom. He waited another moment for El to prepare herself before swinging over the ledge and quickly moving down the rope, He could hear bolts and arrows clattering against the stone up top as he descended, sliding down the rope despite the burns it would leave behind, making space for bowman to do the same.

Once on the ground he bent down slightly to allow El to slide off his back as he looked up to the bowman who slid all the way down, his gloves protecting his hands as he did. Grunting as his boots hit the grass below. The group then moved towards the horses which Sierra and Annabelle were waiting on. Two horses without riders were visible, one which the bowman jumped on, and the other Fenros helped El onto in a side saddle position… as much as she hated it. Before jumping onto the horse and wrapping his arms around her once again.

Eleanor was glad to finally be done running, her feet hurt from not having shoes and stepping on quite a few sharp rocks and sticks and such. She also was glad to know that for now, they were safe. Together and safe. Just as she had did earlier the day before, Eleanor leaned against Fenros, resting her head on his chest. She noticed her head press against something small and metal and leaned away for a moment. She looked to his chest and noticed on a small chain was the ring she had gotten him so many years ago that hadn’t fit him. Eleanor thought he’d throw it away, but he kept it.

Her hand came up and gently touched the ring, lifting it up so she could look at it. Eleanor then looked up at Fenros a faint smile on her lips. “You kept it…” She stated softly, her eyes meeting his.

Fenros looked down at her as she looked at the ring she gifted him so long ago. He smiled at her. ”Of course I kept it.” He said with a soft voice. A weird look on his face as if it was an odd thing she didn’t think he would. ” It’s from you.” he added as if it was explanation enough. He wanted to say so much more. Explain his true feelings. But he could hear men on top of the wall now, as the others snapped their reins. All he could do to try and convey those feelings was to wrap his left arm around her waist and pull her closer to him. Holding her as he quickly followed suit and followed the rest of the group away from the castle wall, and into the forest.

Alex followed hellena to her room, She followed the instruction and sat on the chair, but was lost in her own thoughts. She glanced up for a moment and a faint smile of thanks on her lips as she allowed Hellena to clean her wound. Getting lost once again in her thoughts. When ever the Black knight came back, it always brought painful memories with her. As if Lorelai herself was tormenting her.

She was pulled from her thoughts as Hellena mentioned the potion she requested once again. She nodded, as she pressed the cloth to her wound. “I’m not terribly worried, I’m sure Rebecca would be here for a bit longer with or without the treatment. She’s already survived fifty or so years.” She rested back against the sofa while Hellena gathered more items.

She sat in silence for a moment while Hellena kept busy. She started to grow worried for Taran, perhaps she should send her wolves out. She knew he hated when she did that, and that she sent Todd with him, she couldn’t help it in her eyes he was still a child….her child. He could be naive at times, and she enjoyed it. Being in the bloodrose coven where most of the witches would kill someone without a thought, or wise beyond their years. Taran was almost innocent, despite her hate for men, she felt close to the lad as a mother and child.

She glanced up when Lucy mentioned the fog rolling in. She said softly “That’s not normal weather. That's Death’s fog, the reason I didn’t want you going into the woods again for a bit. “ She said worriedly thinking of Taran. “I’m sure you’ve heard of the Black Knight rumors around the region? It’s true for the most part. It brings death where ever it roams, collecting rotting bodies as it travels around. It was bound here long ago...by…”
She sighed as she pushed the womans name from her head, standing up and walking to the window.

”Sadly I have no idea how to banish it. Medusa didn’t either. It comes and goes as it pleases… its one of the things I sadly regret wishing the hunters will take care of.” She said with a sour taste in her mouth. ”But it cannot enter our coven’s grounds. So you don’t need to worry about it. He should be gone within a couple days.”

Later that night…

Alexina now stood at the castle gates, the fog was no longer near the entrance, but she could sense it farther in the woods. The only reason she wasn’t in the woods herself was because she knew Taran was safe. Todd, and a few of the birds kept her in constant communication. She was a bit worried about the lava witch...so far she had only burned what she came across...as much as she hated it, she knew she wasn’t doing it on purpose. She was trying to contain it. Which was all she could ask for.

She rubbed her folded arms as she listened to the news from other forest animals. Despite the black knight being there, apparently a den of Goblins was spooked and raided Saren’s Folley. Disgusting little creatures, that were dumb as rocks apparently for attacking a town of that size. She hoped it would throw off the hunters bloodlust as well. Hopefully it would satisfy their hunger till this annoying little coven was killed.

She heard the rumble of thunder in the distance, which only made her smile. Looking up she could see rain clouds coming. Even in the primal wilds...Alice was watching over her. Sending a rain storm when it was needed and protecting her forest. She felt the warm tugs of love that followed up by a tang of loneliness… it had been a while since she saw her, and felt her embrace.

She hope that once this was over, she could retire to the wilds along with her.
Flint

Flint tried pulling himself away, but grunted as he realized he was stuck, As another man spoke to him. He grunted “Little...Busy at the moment” he said trying to pull himself out again. Wincing as he put too much strain on his arm. As some goblins turned towards him he readied himself with his bow, about to beat away them as he tried to pull himself, only to see the doctor throw two daggers, killing two goblins that were coming after him, He tried to pull himself out again but the suction of the blood and guts and the awkward angle. He looked to his right to see another, and raised his bow again to slap the goblin away but then odd dog guy jumped over him and killed it. Telling him he was going to go help the doc, and to cover him. He growled as he ran off towards the lady.

He started to feel like an idiot being stuck like this, as the looked to the doctor who was getting overwhelmed starting to rip at her clothes. He growled and pushed even harder but this was when the large man in the mask offered to help him. Annoyed at this moment at him being joked about and the fact he was stuck. He took his hand despite not wanting to, he saw the dog boy letting his guard down and laughing trying to flirt with the doc. He might have pulled a little too hard as he pulled himself out with Draco’s help. But as soon as he was free he pulled an arrow from his quiver, nocked, and fired it. The arrow hissing in between the Doc and the dogboy. Into a goblin that had snuck up behind them. ”I’m just giving you guys some time to shine.” He said as he used his bow to slap a goblin in the face who got too close before punting him hard into a rock wall.

He then saw more goblins going after the Doc and decided to do something drastic. ”Well come on ya brute, I gotta plan.” He said towards Draco before running to a chicken’s coop and grabbing a chicken by the neck. The creature began to swuak and squabble loudly. He shook his arm high with the chicken to get the attention of any goblins near him.
@CAWs For Alarmuhhh he’ll yeah caws! Good to see ya again!

@Ciosent you a link

Fenros grew too irritated with the woman across from him. She was freaking out that she just put her family in danger, but she did not hesitate to think. Her lies have put El, and his family in danger. She had no problem destroying others lives and that made him hate her all the more. He turned away from her and allowed himself to slide down the bars of his cage with his back. Till he was sitting on the ground, his swollen broken hand was open, the cool metal from the ring and necklace brought little comfort to the heat and pain inside it.

He rested the back of his head in between two of the rusty bars and closed his eyes. His thoughts once again turned to the princess. From when they first met when he was 18 and she 14. How she was just the worst because he wouldn’t call her by her name. To riding through the forest with her almost everyday, the days spent alone together inside the castles grove of trees. The assassination attempts a few years before. But the time that stuck in his mind was after a nasty experience with a noble, when they went to his home for her to get away from things...

After Eleanor was lead to the outdoor dining area in the upper courtyard, she wandered over to look out at the sea, enjoying the breeze as she waited for Fenros and his family to make the changes to dinner plans. She wouldn’t lie. This was a nice change in pace compared to the last month and she had been wanting to meet Fenros’ family, although she wished the circumstances were different. For a moment, Eleanor just closed her eyes inhaling the smell of the sea and the fresh air, listening to the waves crash on the shore. Just allowing herself a bit of peace for the first time since the incident.

Fenros had walked up behind El as she stood near the edge of the upper courtyard that overhung the sea below. He stopped a few feet back from herm, allowing her to take all the personal time she needed. But he was content on watching as the breeze gently caused her hair to dance to the side, revealing the back of her neck and shoulder. The warm light of the afternoon sun that made her soft pure skin glow. While the sea was a beautiful sight, just her standing with that soft smile made everything else pale in comparison. Seeing this calmed him..but also deep down, a sharp pain of large but annoying fact came to mind He felt selfish for a moment and pushed the thought from his mind. The most important thing here was her and her happiness.

As he could see the change in her demeanor. He didn’t want to interrupt her moment of relaxation and just stood there. Watching silently.

Hearing footsteps approach from behind, Eleanor took one last moment to enjoy the breeze and sounds of the ocean. Opening her eyes and turning to look over her shoulder she saw Fenros. “Well don’t just stand there. You are missing out on the view. I’m sure you have missed it.” Eleanor’s face was calm, not holding much emotion besides just the calm feeling she had as she turned back to look out.

He raised his eyebrows when she looked at him, Telling him he’s missing out on the view. His head tilting to the side. He very much doubted that. The view was better back here. But nonetheless he walked forward and stood next to her. After a moment he glanced at her. Nope she was right. He was missing the better part of the view. He cleared his throat as he felt warmth on his cheeks and looked out to the sea.

The view was pleasing as well, reminding him of his childhood. Taking a breath, “I have. Not so much the view, but I do miss the smell of the salt water…” He thought for a moment. “You know… I thought I wanted to be a sailor when I was younger...I used to sneak onto the docks all the time to try to get on a ship. Get caught every time and thrown off...quite literally. Into the water.” He said with a smile, glancing at El. Hoping it would brighten her spirits more.

A small smile graced Eleanor’s face, “Seems water has been a useful way to snap you to your senses.” She joked as she thought back to their first week together when she shoved him into the lake.

Raising his eyebrow he smiled. “It would seem so...a cold shock of water does wonders…” He said very slowly as if leading her to something. As he too remembered what happened right after that. He glanced over the small wall that served as railing, at the water.

Eleanor looked at the water staring into it as he spoke before glancing to him, “Don’t even think about it.” She warned as she read his face. Although she couldn’t help the smile on her face, one that just touched her eyes, as the memory from that day played in her head.

He grinned back at her, his heart seemingly flopping a few times. He hadn't seen that smile in a long time...far too long. He chuckled as he shrugged. “Too late.” He then looked to her with a soft smile. “There is my princess. I haven’t seen that smile in a long time..” His eyes looked to hers calm and genuine. Inside he was freaking out, wondering why he just said that.

Her cheeks warming up at what he said caused her to quickly face away from him as she brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. Clearing her throat she looked down at her hands as she clasped them in front of her, “It does feel good to genuinely smile again.” Eleanor spoke softly, barely louder than a whisper before looking back out to the water. Her cheeks burning as she did so…

That month they spent together at his residence was one of the happiest he had been in forever. She didn’t have to hide her true self as much, and they didn’t have to worry that the king or her brother would appear. He pushed the fond memory from his mind as he looked down at the ring. He just wished… and kicked himself mentally for never telling her how he felt about her. For twelve years he protected her with his life, and not because he was ordered to...because he genuinely wanted to protect her from all harm he swore to her he would, no matter what.

His hand tightened around the ring, groaning inwardly at the pain it caused moving his broken hand. But he didn’t care, the fire of resolve burned within his heart. Anger bubbled inside of him as he realized how pathetic he was, sitting here in a cell allowing this to happen. He had to get out of here.

Suddenly he stood up, a surge of energy running through him as he looked around the cell. He couldn’t allow the princess to suffer at the hand of her father or any longer, nor at Eva’s. He needed a plan. There was nothing in his cell that could help him. No rock was big enough to use as a weapon. He just needed the door opened.

“GUARDS!” He yelled out weakly. Mostly on purpose. He rested heavily against the bars as he then once again called for them. To which they yelled “SHUT IT!”

“I NEED TO SPEAK TO EVA OF THE INQUISITORS NOW! I HAVE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE ASSASSIN!” He said glancing to Annabell who was sure to give him a look. He heard grunting from one of the guards as he got up and made his way to them.

As the heavier set man reached him he didn’t look to happy. “Oh now you want to talk?? Couldn’t you do that before I sat down for dinner?” He asked harshly.

“Please…”He said sounding defeated and weak. “I need to speak with her now. The kings life is in danger…” He started to plead.

“Why do you care about the King Traitor! How about you tell me wha-”

Fenros began to grow irritated but the guards attention was suddenly pulled back towards the guards room. Leaning in a little too close to Fenros without realizing it. Fenros lashed out with his left hand and gripped the top of the guards breastplate. Giving him a hard yank against the cell and slamming his head against the iron bars. He didn’t let go as he quickly reached his other arm to the mans belt and yanked the keyring with his fingers. Letting out a small painful yell of anger and determination as he did and felt as if every inch of his hand was on fire.

But he pushed through it. He managed to get the keys. Breathing heavily for a moment he realized the necklace was still in his hand. He quickly slipped it over his head, wincing as he hit himself with the keys by accident. He quickly tried to wiggle the keys as he heard fighting down in the guards room grow silent. It was awkward doing so with just his left hand. But he managed.

Pushing the door open only to have it stop suddenly as if blocked by something. He looked down as he tried it twice more, opening and closing only to see it hitting the knocked out guards head. He had forgotten that the man had dropped like a sack of potatoes in front of the cell door, his mind too busy trying to focus on the door ”Right…” He said with a smirk and only pushed harder to move the man's head enough so he could slip through. Once out he reached down and quickly pulled out the guards sword ready for a fight. In case, for some reason. They were going to come kill him.

A black cloaked figure walked through the doorway of the guards room and stopped right in front of it. “Your savior has arrived lovely damsels!” Walking over to Fenros, she placed a gloved finger on the end of the sword and pushed it down.

“Beefcake there is no need to try and skewer me. I am here to free you from your cell, though you seemed to do that yourself.” The woman grabbed the keys from the door and walked over to the door to Annabelle’s cell.

Fenros was taken back as a woman in a black cloak suddenly appeared. Saying she came to save them. Allowing his blade to be pushed down. His eyes grew wide as she took the keys and moved over to the cell that Annabelle was in. “No! Don’t let her out. She deserves to be in here.” he said angrily. Giving annabelle a death glare.

“Oi! Did I ask you who gets to be freed or not? No.” She unlocked the door and threw it open. “You certainly looked a lot better yesterday. I hope you had fun learning first hand the insanity of the king and his underlings. Though I do suggest you stay quiet during this escape else beefcake will rough you up more and i’d hate to see your pretty face anymore messed up. Also being quiet is important to stealth. So lips sealed.” Turning away from the woman she faced Fenros once more and looked over his injuries, nothing life threatening so thankfully she didn’t have to provide first aid to the man. “Have you any other objections? I can lock you back up in the cell if you do? I may get in a lot of trouble but it’d be worth it if you are going to fight with me.” The woman sassed him, obviously she would not lock him back up but she would consider it.

He glared at her as she snapped back at him. He gripped his sword tightly. If this girl didn’t open her lying mouth, they wouldn’t be here in the first place. He contemplated accepting her challenge just to spite her. He knew he could take her, but the time and effort it would take to do so seemed to outweigh each other. He lifted his sword to annabelle just to point. Giving her a look that just said, give me a reason..’ Before he let it drop.

”Fine, Thanks for the ‘help’ but this is where we go our separate ways. I need to make sure Princess Eleanor is safe.” He turned around and started walking towards the guards room, not waiting for an answer.

A sigh escaped her lips as she grabbed Fenros’ broken hand and squeezed, was she going to hurt him, yes, but was it going to get his attention and get him to stop long enough for her to speak? Yes it would also do that. “You listen here and you listen good. I’m not just some random person here to release you two to do whatever the fuck you want. I’m here under the order of the rebellion to get you two out of here safely. We already have plans to get the princess out safely and if you go and try something on your own you will ruin the plans that we are trying to follow very carefully. Don’t make me tie you up and drag you if I have to. Got it?” The woman asked codly.

Fenros winced and yanked his hand away, despite it hurting even more. He growled as he looked at the girl who continued to speak. He hesitated a moment as he actually listened… she sounded familiar, with how she acted and that cloak. He narrowed his eyes and leaned in closer, he was about to say her name. But a quick look at annabelle made him stop himself. It all clicked, despite her wearing a different cloak he finally recognized her as one of the woodsman, an apprentice to Verrick. He trusted Verrick, and despite the sudden revelation that she said she was working with the rebellion. “Wai-wha….how?” He was confused for a moment, but pushed the thoughts away realizing that’s not important at the moment.

He knew if Verrick was behind a plan like this, he better listen to it.“What is the plan?”He said quickly.

He recognized her, good. The threat of Verrick looming over could make most people listen, especially if the plan was Verrick’s. When he asked what the plan was she remembered the bag that only contained two items that was slung uncomfortably over her shoulder. She slipped it off, the bag dropping to the ground and she knelt down opening it. “Simple. Wear these. Stay close. Stay low. Stay silent. And Stay out of sight.” The woman pulled out two cloaks not much different from hers, she tossed them to the two before turning and heading further into the dungeon. It may seem like it was odd to go deeper into a place that had no way out but, the woodsmen knew the secret tunnels that others didn’t know about. That is exactly where she lead the two.

She opened the entrance and made sure the two got through it before entering and closing it behind her. Swiftly she moved so she was in front of them and leading the way again. Taking them through a few turns in the tunnels, they finally came out not far from the small field that was between the castle and the wall that had a forest on the other side. Crouching in the shadows, she glanced around making sure they were in the clear before taking off running, sticking to the shadows. Once they got the wall, she released a low whistle and a rope fell down from the top of the wall. Sierra helped Annabelle first since she had an injured arm, she then turned to look at Fenros when the rope returned to them, meaning Annabelle was safely on the other side. “Your turn beefcake.”

Meanwhile…

In her chambers, Eleanor sat as one maid cleaned the glass from her hand and patched up her wounds. Meanwhile two other maids were doing her hair and makeup, she wasn’t sure why the king saw it necessary for her to look nice for an execution but he was not of a fully sane mind.

Once her hand was clean and a bandage wrapped around it and her makeup and hair done. The maids helped her into a fancy robe over her dressing gown. Confused at the outfit choice, Eleanor began to grow concerned at what else the king had planned. She had no time to think as soon, she was being escorted from her room by two guards she didn’t know to who knows where.

Meanwhile…

The king made his way towards the vanguard barrack’s, a demented smirk on his face as he was satisfied with the punishment he had decided upon for his step daughter. Killing her would not be enough. Though he will kill Fenros in front of her. Just to see that face of realization he was alive, and he didn’t come and save her before he died. Oh it felt good to FINALLY deal with the whore’s child. Though he did admit, keeping her as his own did help with a few treaties and deals he had her take control of. He was tempted to sell her away to that barbarian of a king down south as one of his wenches. But that wouldn’t be humiliating enough.

He had a messenger run on ahead and gathered the Vanguard in the barracks, to gather the officers, as all of the guard could not fit into the main hall of the barracks. Which was fine, once they were done they can rotate the message to everyone else.

He entered the barracks and stood on the platform on which he always stood on while giving them an announcement. He smiled. “My Vanguard! I am extremely pleased with how you all have been performing in the last few days, saving my life from a would be assassin and regaining control of the capital and squashing theories as well. As well as all the hard work you do to protect the kingdom from rebellion and traitors to the crown. I thank you for your service and wish to present you with a gift fitting of a King and prince!”

The men cheered, getting excited, most surprised at the king's generosity. He never did anything like this before. while some were skeptical, they couldn’t wait to see what it was. The king laughed and waited for the anticipation to build while he enjoyed the fanfare. He then motioned them to grow silent.

After a few more moments he then said “I give you… The Beautiful princess Eleanor! Do with her what you please! I recently found out she was the one behind the attempt to kill me and my son Aaron. Wanting the throne for herself despite the loving life I have given her. She was willing to kill anyone who got in her way. Threatening YOUR lives! Well I think she deserves to pay you men back for your service!”

Back with Fenros and the Cloaked Woman…

A celestial voice echoed within Fenros’ mind, speaking a warning to him. An urgent warning in regards to the Princess. Fenros, the Mad King wishes to gift the men of the Vanguard Princess Eleanor’s body for whatever they desire before he ends her life. The rebellion’s plan to save the Princess will no longer work. She needs you.”

Fenros was about to protest when suddenly he heard a voice in his head. He whipped his head around to see who was speaking. But, no one was there. It took a moment for him to realize what was said. His eyes grew wide with horror at that revelation. The voice spoke more, telling him where he needed to go. He never heard this voice before, and honestly was afraid as it happened. But that didn't matter at this moment. Whatever it was, he wasn’t going to take a chance that it might be right.

He looked towards the castle, all the pain in his body washed away with the sudden rush of Adrenaline. He gripped his sword tightly and sprinted along the walls shadows. Completely ignoring Sierra and any attempt she tried to stop him. He prayed that he would make it to her in time,

“Hold on El...I’m coming…”

No longer with us - lauder aka Noz
Bobby Flint

Flint slowly pushed himself up. He was glad Saph was here, but with the danger of wendigos being so close, he didn’t have time to mess with her. He was glad she just accepted not to go. He looked around as the healer decided to join, along with a few others. He sat there silently trying to recoup as fast as he could. He needed to get out there too, he had to show them where he saw them.

Bobby looked to everyone who agreed to come, and nodded, most of them he knew could handle themselves. Though he didn’t know Andvari enough. But with the amount of people going he should be fine. ”Fine, we can use it. You need silver tip bolts though. You better be a great shot” While the youngest ‘hunter’ decided to head out to do research.

He looked to Sanjin who asked what he needed, despite being an odd one, he was smart enough to ask. ”I got the stuff here if you need it. Windigos are weak to fire and to kill it with a silver weapon to the heart. “

There was an explosion outside suddenly, and he could hear yelling. He quickly hobbled to the tavern door and pushed it open. Suddenly he heard more yelling and screaming, citizens were running around being chased and attacked by a horde of goblins. “Mother of God.” He looked back into tavern and yelled. ”EVERYONE OUT! SEREN’S FOLLEY IS BEING ATTACKED BY GOBLINS! QUICKLY NOW!” He said as he bent down and grabbed one trying to run into his Tavern by the neck and slammed it’s head into the hardwood door frame, crushing it’s skull instantly.

Flint heard the screaming and pushed himself off the ground. Both of the drinks he had seemed to be helping as he was no longer dizzy, that and thanks to his curse. While he was still weak, he felt strength back in his limbs. He stumbled quickly over to the counter. Reaching over and grabbing a bunch of arrows. Normal ones as Goblins were easy to kill. He quickly stocked 24 arrows by slipping them into his quiver, and grabbing five more. He held them in his left hand, along with his bow, tips down.

He also grabbed Betsy. Bobby’s axe. Making his way over to him, as others were rushing out and handed it off. Bobby nodding in thanks. He knew saying Flint should stay behind was foolish. Both walked out, Flint nocking one of the arrows in his hand. He pulled the string back and aimed, wincing at the strain on his left arm. He aimed for the batch of Goblins raping a poor woman, as a few hunters rushed to her. He fired off a shot, then quickly pulled another from his hand and fired another. Both arrows flying by the hunters that were running towards her and into two different goblins. The other five around the woman stopped and looked up. Noticing the hunters running towards them and forgot about the woman.

Bobby didn’t move far, because of his leg, but he bellowed challenges, and profanitys. Trying to draw as many as he could towards him with his racket. Using his axe like a club and crushing the heads of the little fuckers and sending them flying into others.

Flint scanned for a clear shot, and noticed the woman who healed him getting rushed by a group of Goblins. In about ten seconds he fired off three shots, picking off the ones closest to Rowyn. Suddenly he had one that jumped on his back, it’s claws digging into his shoulders. Yelling in surprise, he slammed his back into the wall behind him. Crushing the goblin against him, and the building….but he put too much strength into it and crushed the Goblin while imbedding him into the wood.

When the blood oath was done, she sighed and watched as the others walked away. She allowed one of the wolves to like her wound. For a moment. She truly wished she could have just killed them all.those witches have always been a problem for her and her plans. Especially Rayleth. She tried to be open minded about all the witches needs, despite not liking what they do or how they achieve it. But they were getting restless for sure.

She truly wished Alice was here...it had been some time since she appeared last. Or even Taran and Pahor...both of which she found to be almost like her own. But she never wanted Taran to see this, and Pahor was busy with things.

She noticed Hellena straggling behind, she moved towards her and said softly “I would like a potion that will rot the insides out. If that bitch who killed a child survives her patience mission, I would like a plan B.” She reached up and stroked Lucy once again. “Something that looks natural if you can.”

She looked Hellena in the eyes. “I also wanted to ask you if you made any headway on that recipy i was asking for?” She asked, glancing to Rebecca. She wanted to do something nice for her old friend...who was literally falling apart. She was going to need her more than ever in the upcoming plan.

She glanced down to talk to Tod, but remembered she sent him with Taran. She would have to do it later. She wanted to speak to her inner council about how they were to handle this, or at least her plan on making it so the Hunters wont come looking for blood.

A little bird landed on her shoulder that pulled her attention away. It informed her that an evil fog was rolling into the forest… She grew worried. Taran was out there, and that thing decided to come back to her woods. But if anything happened, she would be able to get there quickly… Tod would tell her…

Placing a hand on Hellena’s arm. “Don't go into the woods tonight gathering any more herbs...it’s too dangerous out there.”She said with a bit of worry in her voice, she looked down at her hand which was still bloody. She looked slightly sheepish to her, “Do you...have anything to help with this?” She asked softly.
