Despite Emilia's soft, gentle appearance and day-dreaming ditsy persona, it's best not to completely believe what is to be seen. Her soft smile can easily twist into a cruel one, her gentle personality into a vindictive bitch, who'll stop at nothing to destroy those that cross her. Her cruel side is not as known, and those that hear the rumours tend not to believe it, falling for her sweet persona and the cycle repeats itself again.

To say that Emilia is a believer is an understatement. She loves reading all things astrological, and having her future read. She doesn't care if others don't believe it or call her dim-witted for it, Emilia loves reading the predictions, especially seeing when it comes true (which, surprisingly happens quite often).

While Emilia isn't book smart, or the most intelligent one in the room (she's of average, however), she prides herself on her creativity and people-skills. Usually, that translates to thinking up revenge or anything unpleasant for those that have crossed her. Anyway, she has two highly intelligent siblings, no point trying to compete in a race with a broken leg, right?

Emilia is quite the chatty, extroverted individual, adding to her ditzy persona that she puts up often. She uses her appearance to almost fool individuals (mostly working on men) into trusting her and eventually manipulating that trust into something ugly when she requires.

She's also quite the restless spirit. She's always seen pacing or tapping her foot, performing any action rather than sitting still. While she hates staying still - even in her sleep, Emilia is known for moving a lot during her sleep, resulting in her crows nest of a hair in the mornings - Emilia doesn't care if others around her are lazy. It's up to them to do their duties, not for her to go after them. Her loyalties lies with her family and her family only. So far, no one has managed to gain Emilia's trust long enough to for her to be loyal to them; she hasn't been given a reason to do so.

One more thing to note about Emilia is that she's highly competitive, and if the incentive is worth it, she isn't afraid of going through extreme lengths to win.

History:

Emilia has been, and always will be daddy's little princess. Even as a child, Emilia would follow her father around and prefer his company, that habit following to her later years even if its mostly unintentional. Don't get me wrong, Emilia loves her mother to bits, but she will always be known to be the little duckling that followed daddy around.

As a child, Emilia could sense emotions, though instead of realising it wasn't her own, she was a ray of sunshine when she experienced happiness, gloomy when sad, or frightened to death for no apparent reason. Sometimes her fear even followed her to her dreams, often shaping the once beautiful imagination into a dark, dangerous place that no kid should endure. Her nightmares would go so bad that she had to be put onto medication until Emilia could learn how to control her powers enough to be able to keep control of her dreams, or enough so the nightmares aren't as bad.

With the birth of her younger sister came competition for her father's attention. A childish Emilia sulked and had been an absolute nightmare whenever Victoria had stolen her father's attention away from her, often acting out like a spoilt child. This is one phase of her life she wishes to forget, to keep buried and never talk about it ever again. The embarrassment is too strong.

Emilia's love for astrology came on the day she almost drowned to death during an innocent trip to the beach with some friends. Even though Emilia had read the predictions that fateful morning, responding with an eyeroll and a scoff, the girl's leg cramped up while in water and she eventually began drowning, at least until she was saved. To this day, she has no idea who saved her.

Her life in education was somewhat an average one. Unless she put her mind into it, Emilia's grades remained average. Her strengths lie in anything where she could study the human behaviour, especially in subjects like psychology or sociology.

Emilia was harassed by a group of boys during high school. It was nothing dangerous, but just a couple of guys who thought low of women, which was apparent with their lewd gazes and sharp tongues. While Emilia never told anyone about it, just waiting till the guys found someone else to harass, somehow Julian managed to figure it out. It frightened her as the group brought a knife to an impromptu fist fight. To this day, Emilia still feels guilty as she sees the scar on her brother's lip, and while she appreciates his actions, Emilia doesn't stop herself from calling him an idiot for putting himself in harms way for her.

Even though Emilia is not the one taking over daddy's empire, her brother Julian will be instead, Emilia isn't angry about it. Instead, while Emilia isn't completely involved with the family business, she helps out in her own interesting way. Taking a job as the Mayor's secretary. While its not the most glamorous job, Emilia takes her position as an advantage for her family. With access to the Mayor's dealings and folders, Emilia can easily keep an eye on him, and immediately tell her father should the Mayor step out of line.

Abilities:

Empathy: Emilia has the power to sense the people around her's emotion, at least to a certain degree. If she focuses her powers enough, it is possible for Emilia to project her own feelings onto others, but it takes too much energy for her to do so, so she uses it sparingly.

She can only sense happiness, fear, anger and sadness, but she cannot know what exactly causes the feelings unless she sees the individual. Emilia also tends to get a lot of nightmares, especially if she senses fear. Emilia is known to get a lot of nightmares because of this.

History:

While being born to a Mafia family should have its perks, its not all as perfect as some television dramas would have you believe. With the added pressure of being some sort of a mutant-mafia-with-powers, it's not easy at all. Emilia grew up as the eldest daughter of the Montgomery family, with the power to sense others emotions. After suffering through a lot of childhood nightmares, Emilia was finally put onto medication to allow her to sleep deeply through the night without any dreams. It helped, only for a while.

Emilia's love for astrology comes from a childhood event, mainly, an almost death. On the day she was supposed to go to the beach with her school friends, Emilia had barely glanced over the horoscope section in the newspaper, skimming past the Pisces paragraph with a disinterested expression on her face. It was said that she had to avoid water, or else she'd drown. Thinking nothing of it, the girl went along with her friends to have some fun in the water. However, Emilia's leg cramped up in the water, and eventually she sank. Luckily, she was saved and with no long lasting problems, other than her new phobia of water and her belief in horoscope predictions grew.

During her time in education, Emilia never struggled but she never got the best grades unless she studied. Her stronger subjects were psychology, or sociology - anything where she could study human behaviour in an intimate manner. It was obvious that she would enjoy studying the human behaviour while being an Empath.

Of course, with every day Emilia was also raised to hate the other family members. And while she doesn't do much with that hatered, Emilia knows that should one of the other family members cross the line, or cause harm to her family, she will make them pay.

A complete opposite to her older twin, Meghna is a loud mouthed, no filter indivudual that enjoys the finer things in life. Such as living and food, lots of food. Her insecure nature stems from her father, even if she doesn't show it much to others. Her insecurity comes more from doubting herself and hesitation to actually put ideas forward - one thing she has common with her brother. She hates being compared to her brother, even as a joke. It rubs her the wrong way and she can be in a foul mood for the rest of the day (or even the week, depending on what exactly was said) until she has been apologised to.

Meghna is quite energetic and likes being active. She's never in one place for too long, always compared to a buzzing bee. Her active nature can annoy someone, especially if she keeps asking questions - but she doesn't really care too much. Similarly, Meghna prefers to do things herself, rather than asking for help. While she doesn't mind working with others while scavenging, as long as she can do the hunting her way, she won't be much of a problem. Meghna is not a lone-wolf.

Meg even tends to blurt out things without completely thinking things through. Most of the time, she barely thinks before speaking. And she doesn't really mind whether it causes someone to not like her, its just something she does. Whether you call it honesty, or stupidity, it doesn't matter to her.

One thing Meg loves to do is to teach children. Her dream would've been to become a school teacher, but then the apocalypse had to happen to ruin the career path she had painfully mapped out. Ah well, at least she can assign homework to the kids in camp, right?

History

Your First Walker Encounter:

On the day the apocalypse began, the radios were talking about nothing but ways to survive. Meghna and Sidd had planned a road trip, one to help keep his mind off of their father for the rest of the week, but the trip had been cut short immediately with news of the apocalypse spreading like wildfire.

First, Meg and Sidd stored everything they had in their pantry, including any weapons their father had collected through years of hunting and paranoia about self defence. The twins hadn't even encountered their first walker until two weeks after news had spread and radios died, when their supplies began running low.

It was Meg that had to face off a walker first. Armed with only a hunting knife and a pistol rummaged from her father's safe, Meg had gone on a run to find any store that hadn't been completely ransacked. While browsing through the isles of their local superstore, sounds of groans and banging had rung through the empty store.

At first, she contemplated whether to try and go Assassin style or just head-shot the mother fucker and run, but after seeing her first walker, Meg knew exactly what she needed to do. Hastily grabbing her pistol, she aimed at the walker's forehead and pulled the trigger, the walker falling immediately to the ground while the gunshot echoed.

Grabbing whatever supplies she could, Meghna took off and returned home, even giving her twin a hug as she tried to come to her senses.

History Before Outbreak:

Born twenty minutes after her older twin, Meghna Kumar and her brother were raised in Atlanta their whole childhood. Enjoying a lax childhood with little limitations and big dreams, both children were given the opportunity to 'follow their dreams' as cheesy as it sounded. However, a few years later, Meghna's and Sidd's mother died in a car accident, leaving the twins and their father in an untimely death. While the kids were still too young to realise what had happened, other than their mother was now gone to a better place, their father took her death the hardest, his easy-going personality changing with the influence of alcohol and extra work hours.

By the time the twins were ten, it was obvious which one was the smarter one of the two. Meg's academic achievements were never as great as Sidd, resulting in a few comments by their father every so often. As a result of this, Meg began resenting her brother, mainly because of her father.

_{Also, during some of her childhood, Meg was taken with her father to hunt every other summer, as her brother refused to join them and their father wished for company. This is where she began learning the basics of hunting and tracking game.}

After studying hard, Meg graduated at one of the top in her class (of course, still below her brother) and escaped Atlanta by taking a scholarship at a university in London, trip paid by money she earned by babysitting the neighbourhood kids or even offering tutoring services.

For the next seven odd years, Meg refused to keep in contact with her father and eventually stopped talking to her brother. Too focused on graduating with a teaching degree in English, Meg's dream was to teach at a primary school in London, eventually settling down and living out the rest of her days.

However, that never quite happened. Instead, in the last year of her Master's programme, Meg was called by her brother. News of her father's death: liver damage. Immediately, Meg flew out back to Atlanta to be able to help her brother settle back down, but then the apocalypse began.

History Since Outbreak:

For the first few months of the apocalypse, Sidd and Meghna barely left their home in Atlanta, Meghna being the one to scavenge due to her experience in hunting whenever they ran out of supplies. They were only forced out of their home when bandits tried breaking in, following behind Meghna one day during her scavenging.

The twins barely managed to escape with their lives, losing many supplies and their personal possessions even from before the apocalypse. They took the loss hard, Meghna moreso. She believed that she was the reason they lost their home and everything inside - only because she didn't cover up her own tracks after scavenging the nearby corner shop for water.

Closer to Newnan, the twins met Leann and her small team while looking for shelter. The twins joined the growing group, safety in numbers as they say. Sticking together for the next three years, the twins decided that it was one of their best decisions.

Now, Meg helps the Newnan gang by going out on supply runs whenever needed, especially if it involves hunting animals for meat. When not scavenging, however, she can be found teaching the children that survived. Just because you survived an apocalypse, it doesn't mean you can escape homework, now is it?

Meg follows Leanne around whenever she's free, almost like a duckling or a lost puppy. She respects the leader greatly, and often questions her whenever possible. While it may be annoying, Meg doesn't care - she hasn't been kicked out of Newnan yet, so that must mean something good, right? The only thing she fears is disappointing Leanne.

"I expected him to be quite the annoying hardass, I'm glad to see I was wrong."

Second in charge or not, Meghna loves trying to entertain Ashton. Whether its with a stupid joke or a witty comment, it bring's Meg joy to make Ash (or anyone really) laugh or crack a smile. Meg thinks he's quite cute too, but would rather not bring those sorts of emotions around while death could happen at any moment.

"Let's just say that she's my motivation to not get hurt while on runs."

Vivian scares Meghna. Whether its the rumours that Vivian is insane, Meg doesn't know. Frankly, just the sight of Viv with anthing sharp is enough to get Meg's skin crawling. At least this means that Meg isn't very likely to actively seek out danger in fear of being mummified by the freaky doc. After the incident where Meg answered a question meant for Leann, Meg makes it a point to try to avoid tagging along with Leann whenever Vivian is involved.

However, no one knows the truth behind closed doors: no one knows of Meg's grudge. Their relationship is strained, and it would take more than the world going to hell for the twins' relationship to get better.

If there is a competition, you can bet your asses that Meg and Maria are competing.

Personality:

Sidd is not the most optimistic person around. He believes more in facts and statistics than he does in fate and karma. Its his practical nature that helped keep him and Meghna alive until their fateful meeting with the Newnan gang. Sidd is also very soft hearted and quiet, preferring to keep out of tense situations and definitely stays away from having to get to know someone. It's not that he's too shy, it's just that he prefers to stick to his books and plants.

He doesn't mind giving a group his input, especially when it comes to the things he knows the most about (which is pretty much research and plants. Mainly plants, though), but will definitely keep trying to avoid having to speak up as a leader. However, if you come to Sidd, he will give you the honest truth and nothing else.

He's not brave, nor is he good with talking to others. But, his strengths lie in his analytical and kind nature. He can easily take a step back and think, usually with a clear mind, with the help of any other like-minded individual. He's also pretty creative when it comes to thinking of plans, but tends to discard them immediately because usually someone comes up with a better idea.

History

Your First Walker Encounter:

Sidd didn't even encounter his first walker until he and his twin were forced to flee their home, weeks after the initial breakout. Meg, by then, had been the only one between the two to know how to handle a walker and had refused to let her brother out in fear of losing him. Sidd barely knew what a walker looked like - just using the old terrible zombie films that used to play every week on telly as a guide.

The one thing he knew about zombies was that he had to aim for the brain and hope for the best.

However, with no protection from their lack of shelter, Sidd was forced to be able to handle walkers, even if he didn't know how. During their time in the shelter, Meg had attempted to give Sidd a crash course on using a weapon: more importantly, the pistol that she had used during her scavenges, however, it was painfully obvious that Sidd's aim was anything but adequate.

Back to Sidd's first encounter, he had the pleasure of meeting a walker for the first time during his escape from their home with Meghna. There was nothing they could do but try to outrun the thing by taking alleys and sharp turns, hoping to lose the walker before they got their guts spilled. But it never happened, no matter where they went, it went with them. Finally reaching a dead-end, Sidd and Meg had no choice but to kill the thing before it attacked.

It may have been Meg that shot the thing down, but Sidd would never forget the face that was chasing them.

History Before Outbreak:

Siddharth Kumar and his younger twin, Meghna, were raised in Atlanta their whole childhood. Enjoying a lax childhood with little limitations and big dreams, both children were given the opportunity to 'follow their dreams' as cheesy as it sounded. However, a few years later, Siddharth's and Meghna's mother died in a car accident, leaving the twins and their father in an untimely death. While the kids were still too young to realise what had happened, other than their mother was now gone to a better place, their father took her death the hardest, his easy-going personality changing with the influence of alcohol and extra work hours.

Siddharth always declined the opportunity to go hunting with his father and sister, instead finding solace and enjoyment with books - especially books that involved plants. His bookwormish traits resulted in him becoming a recluse: the classic nerd in school while his sister was the more outgoing one.

Over the next few years, he stood by and watched as his sister's and father's relationship declined, unable to do anything. Siddharth wasn't surprised as his sister left the house for university in a country far away from their father, only being able to wish his sister luck before she disappeared into the crowd within the airport.

Not too long later, their father was diagnosed with liver damage caused by the excess alcohol. Siddharth decided to stick to a local university to get a degree in biology and chemistry, remaining close enough to be able to help out his father during the last few months of his life. After graduating at the top of his class and gaining a scholarship for his master's degree to study, Sidd got an internship at a botanical garden, to help him further his career during his studies.

And then at the age of twenty five, Siddharth finally lost his father due to illness. He called his sister once more, hoping that Meghna would at least pick up. Surprisingly, Meghna returned to Atlanta to help Siddharth cope with the loss of their father, but it didn't last long as the apocalypse began.

History Since Outbreak:

For the first few months of the apocalypse, Sidd and Meghna barely left their home in Atlanta, Meghna being the one to scavenge due to her experience in hunting whenever they ran out of supplies. They were only forced out of their home when bandits tried breaking in, following behind Meghna one day during her scavenging.

The twins barely managed to escape with their lives, losing many supplies and their personal possessions even from before the apocalypse. They took the loss hard, Meghna moreso. She believed that she was the reason they lost their home and everything inside - only because she didn't cover up her own tracks after scavenging the nearby corner shop for water.

Closer to Newnan, the twins met Leann and her small team while looking for shelter. The twins joined the growing group, safety in numbers as they say. Sticking together for the next three years, the twins decided that it was one of their best decisions.

Now, Sidd helps maintaining the gardens and growing crops alongside any research possible to assist the others.

Sidd respects Leanne like a leader, and will often go with whatever she orders him to do. While he isn't as comfortable with her like Meg is, but he isn't as hesitant to voice out his opinions to her like he is to others.

Sidd, while grateful to Ash, rarely talks to Ashton outside engineering or botany. There isn't much to say, but that's mainly due to Sidd's lack of social skills.

"Vivian is needed, scary or not, she's the only one who can save us when we need it."

While Sidd does find Vivian a bit scary, but he understands that she's the group medic, and usually that position isn't the best for the weak hearted. Vivian is useful, and as long as she doesn't kill him or his sister while under the knife, Sidd won't say anything bad against her.

Their relationship is complicated. To everyone else, they seem close and have a bond that only twins seem to share, knowing each other's thoughts and feelings without any communication. However, no one knows the truth behind closed doors: no one knows of Meg's grudge. Their relationship is strained, and it would take more than the world going to hell for the twins' relationship to get better.

Sidd neither holds ill feelings nor good ones for James. He's an okay character, if not a tad bit too odd for Sidd's tastes. At least Sidd has someone to talk to about agriculture.

Sidd's perfect communication skills means that he barely knows Maria. They barely talk anyway, unless its about plants.

Alicia is quite the interesting one, Sid thinks. Of course, like others, Sid doesn't talk much in Alicia's presence, but let it be known that he respects her, even if it's from afar.

@Aewin I am as well but I have found hamsters aren't so bad as long as I give them huge habitats and the kids keep things clean. The boys have had one for nearly the last year and it's been good. Daughter wanted a pair of them for her, so that's what I've been doing. (I hand build most of the platforms and such, so it's been wood, saws and glue all week. ><!)
