"How do you get your food? Are you rich or something and servants did everything for you?" Bessie shook her head to clear her mind.
"Well, I will teach you the basics. You may slice the tomato because it is the easiest. You just wash it under cool running water for a few seconds then cut out the stem part and the scab on the bottom. Then you hold it like this and be careful not to get very close to your other hand. Now you try it." Bessie demonstrated.

Mystique walked about and found a PacMac game.
"Hey I found a PacMan Game that I am going to try! I wonder what kind of a score I can get....." Mystique spoke excitedly.
She sat down and push the on button. She read the instructions for she had not ever played any video game before but she heard of them from other children.

Bessie was not the fastest person in the world but she saw that Rowan could not keep up with her. She slowed down her pace and gave Rowan a smile.When they got to the kitchen, she spoke once more.
"Let's put the laptops here on the table. We will cook in the kitchen. I'll hand you a few ingredients and you can put them on the counter. We will be starting off with some swiss cheese, tomato and onion." She placed them into his hands then turn to get a cutting board and knives.

"I shall teach you what your chef learned in the basic cooking. I hope that you like cheeseburgers and fries. If there is time we will make ice cream shakes to go with them or just have water. Bring your laptop with you so that we can continue with our studies afterwards. We will be using a gas stove and will use a deep fryer for the fries. There will be sharp knives to cut the onion and tomato slices as well as the cheese." Bessie spoke as she lead Rowan back to the main area and to the kitchen.

"Electricity is all around us..... it is what makes things work..... It's not like we have magic or something! It is one of our energy sources that we have. As far as eating, we need to prepare the food then cook it before we eat it. All of that takes time and energy. Where in the universe did you come from!?" Bessie was beginning to be confused by this guy and rather quickly.

"E is for Electric and mail is where you get a letter. I will be sending you E-Mails to you so that you can become used to getting them. The Academy and others will be sending you information to your E-Mail and they do so frequently. Check it a couple times a day so that you don't miss an important E-Mail. Are you hungry?" Bessie asked.

"Yep. I mind spoke to my egg and it said that it is ok. The game room is across the hall. I wonder what kind of games is in there." Mystique spoke.

"Excellent! You can practice with a program that will teach you how to use all of your fingers and your thumbs. I am glad that you can figure out the laptop so easily. Modern marvels are wonderful. I would hate to live without electricity because so many things wouldn't work. I will help you set up what is called E-Mail. You just type this on that line." Bessie wrote on a pad of paper the email address for his E-Mail and pointed to the spot with a laser pen.
She took him through the steps of opening his E-Mail. She had already set it up so that the only mail he received was from her at the moment. He would figure it all out in time. Of that she was sure of.
